Systems and methods for transdermal electrical stimulation to improve sleep
Methods and apparatuses for improving sleep by transdermal electrical stimulation (TES). In general, described herein are methods for applying TES to a subject, and particularly the subject's head (e.g., temple/forehead region) and/or neck with an TES waveform adapted to improve sleep, including reducing sleep onset (falling to sleep) more quickly and/or lengthening the duration of sleep. TES waveform(s) particularly well suited to enhancing sleep are also described herein.
MANDIBULAR/HEAD POSITIONER FOR PATIENTS UNDERGOING ANESTHESIA
Systems and methods for positioning a patient's head and neck during surgery and/or various medical procedures. A positioner for holding a patient's head and/or neck in static orientation throughout a medical procedure that is capable of easy readjustment as required.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR NAVIGATING A USER FOR CORRECTING A VESTIBULAR CONDITION
The invention provides a method and system for navigating a user based on a type of maneuver for correction of a vestibular condition. The method and system collects sensor data regarding orientation of head and body of a person for creating a three-dimensional model of the person. The method and system then generates a sequence of steps corresponding to the type of maneuver along with an instruction set and a time duration for performing each step of the sequence of steps, thus enabling the user to perform each step of the sequence of steps corresponding to the type of maneuver, on the person for correcting the vestibular condition.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSOCIATING MUSIC WITH BRAIN-STATE DATA
A system and method may be provided for associating bio-signal data (e.g. EEG brain scan data) from at least one user with at least one music data item (e.g. song, or piece of music). By associating bio-signal data, or emotions determined therefrom, with music, the system may establish a data store of music associated with emotions. That database may then be leveraged upon determining that a user is feeling a particular emotion through an EEG scan. When a particular emotion is detected in EEG data of a user, the system may then respond based at least partly on the same or similar emotion being associated with one or more music data items in the system. For example, the system may recommend a particular song associated with the same emotion presently being experienced by the user.
Bone conduction speaker patch
A bone conduction device includes: an enclosure; and an adhesive applied to a surface of the enclosure, in which the enclosure includes: a bone conduction transducer configured to cause the enclosure to vibrate; at least one sensor configured to sense a non-audible input from a region of the user's skin to which the adhesive adheres and produce a sensor output signal in response to sensing the non-audible input, the sensor output signal being indicative of a current state of the user; and a transceiver coupled to the bone conduction transducer and to the at least one sensor, in which the transceiver is configured to a) receive the output signal from the sensor and transmit the output signal to a remote processor and b) in response to transmitting the output signal, receive the bone-conduction control signal from the remote processor and transmit the bone-conduction control signal to the bone conduction transducer.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR WOUND TREATMENT
Devices and methods for wound treatment are disclosed. A chamber may define a treatment space having an interior engineered surface including a plurality of structures configured to provide pathways for the distribution of negative pressure and to exert mechanical stress on a wound. One or more tubes may be in fluid communication with the treatment space to facilitate the application of negative pressure, the introduction of therapeutic agents, and the removal of wound material. Therapeutic agents may be formulated with a gel, for example, a hydrogel, a hydrocolloid, alginate, methyl cellulose, gelatin or any other gels for sustained-release and enhanced usability. A wound fluid collection device including an absorbable material may interface with the wound treatment device to facilitate the collection and disposal of wound material.
DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD TO INDUCE FALLING ASLEEP
Helmet wearable device and associated brain electrostimulation system to induce falling asleep in a subject is disclosed. The system is based on the acquisition of signals corresponding to physiological falling asleep and on subsequent stimulation according to signals derived from those acquired.
Headache therapeutic instrument
A headache therapeutic instrument is provided, which includes a wearable frame adapted to fit on a human head, massage and transdermal medicine permeation devices, liquid medicine delivery tubes, a liquid medicine delivery device and a liquid medicine storage box. The wearable frame is provided with at least one acupoint locating hole adapted to correspond to acupoints along the human head. The massage and transdermal medicine permeation devices are mounted on the wearable frame and correspond to the acupoint locating hole. The liquid medicine delivery device delivers medicines in the liquid medicine storage box to the massage and transdermal medicine permeation devices through the liquid medicine delivery tubes. The massage and transdermal medicine permeation devices can conduct medicine permeation and massage on corresponding acupoints.
RESPIRATORY ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
A head-mounted respiratory assistance apparatus configured to provide a respiratory gases stream to a user. The head-mounted respiratory assistance has a main body securable to the head of a user and a blower unit that is operable to generate a pressurised gases stream from a supply of gases from the surrounding atmosphere. A patient interface is provided on the main body that has a gases inlet which is fluidly connected to the blower unit and which is configured to deliver the pressurised gases to the user's nose and/or mouth.
Healthcare device and a method of use thereof
A device and method for inducing sleep, improving blood circulation, and correcting autonomous imbalances. The device includes a heat exchange member mounted on top of housing, the heat exchange member can receive a neck of a user and apply alternate hot and cold stimuli to the neck. The hot and cold stimuli improve blood circulation and correct the autonomous imbalances. The device includes a drive module and a heat sink to quickly switch from hot to cold.
