Prepreg, laminate body, fiber-reinforced composite material, and manufacturing method for fiber-reinforced composite material

A laminate body is provided which contains a thin prepreg having a component (A) containing a matrix of reinforcing fiber, a component (B) containing a thermosetting resin, and a component (C) containing particles of a thermoplastic resin. When molded and cured out of autoclave, the laminate body achieves a fiber-reinforced composite having a low void ratio and providing excellent mechanical performance.

In a toothed belt including a toothed belt body and a reinforcing cloth, the toothed belt body includes a rubber composition and has a base part formed into a flat band shape and a plurality of rubber tooth parts, which are arranged integrally with one face of the base part and spaced apart from each other in a belt lengthwise direction. The reinforcing cloth is attached to the toothed belt body to cover a face, of the toothed belt body, with the rubber tooth parts. Each of the rubber tooth parts is covered with the reinforcing cloth in a corresponding one of cloth-covered tooth parts where a rate of a volume of the reinforcing cloth with respect to a volume of the cloth-covered tooth part is 60% or more.

At least one of the first layer and the second layer can be polyethylene terephthalate. The cover can cover a plurality of cables of a cable harness. If wear forms a hole through the first layer, the second color of the second layer is visible from an environment external to the covered cable harness through the hole through the first layer.

A dual-reinforced construction board is disclosed comprising a core having an upper surface and an opposing lower surface, a first reinforced fibrous facer adhered to the upper surface of the core and a second fibrous facer adhered to the lower surface of the core. Each of the first and second fibrous facer comprise a non-woven mat coated on a first surface with a coating composition. The first fibrous facer and optionally the second fibrous facer further include a reinforcement layer adhered to at least a portion of the first surface of the non-woven mat. The dual-reinforced construction board has a fastener pull-through strength of at least 400 lbf.

In a particular embodiment, the fabric material and/or the non-crimp fabric material comprise dry fibers which are recycled and/or reused fibers.

The cover substrates include an optically transparent fiberglass composite layer including a fiberglass layer embedded in a matrix material and an optically transparent hard-coat layer bonded to a top surface of the optically transparent fiberglass composite layer. A bottom surface of the optically transparent fiberglass composite layer may define a bottommost exterior surface of a cover substrate. The bottommost exterior surface of a cover substrate may be disposed over a display surface of an electronic display to protect the display surface from damage.
