FOOTWEAR SOLE STRUCTURE HAVING A FLUID-FILLED CHAMBER INCLUDING A TENSILE MEMBER
A footwear sole structure having a fluid-filled chamber including a tensile member is provided. The fluid-filled chamber includes a first barrier sheet, a second barrier sheet and the tensile member. The first barrier sheet is formed from a first thermoplastic material. The second barrier sheet is attached to the first barrier sheet and is formed from a second thermoplastic material. The first barrier sheet and the second barrier sheet cooperate to define an internal cavity. The tensile member is disposed within the internal cavity and is formed from a third thermoplastic material. A first weld attaches the first barrier sheet, the second barrier sheet, and the tensile member together by melding the first thermoplastic material of the first barrier sheet, the second thermoplastic material of second barrier sheet, and the third thermoplastic material of the tensile member.
RUNNING SHOES, HIKING SHOES AND BOOTS, SNOWBOARD BOOTS, ALPINE BOOTS, HIKING BOOTS, AND THE LIKE, HAVING WATERPROOF/BREATHABLE MOISTURE TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS
The waterproof/breathable moisture transfer liner for a running and hiking shoe includes an inner liner selected from technically advanced fabrics which are carefully selected. A series of layers are provided outside the inner liner including foam material layers, breathable membranes, a supportive mesh or a moldable foam, and an outer shell fabric. The applicability of the liner to alpine, snowboard boots, cross country, hiking boots, protective gear and helmets, along with appropriate variations for each application.
COMPOSITE AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
Described is a composite made from a woven fabric, a non-woven fabric, or a knitted face fabric and a non-woven fabric. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric is needle punched such that fibers protrude into the non-woven fabric. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric has a first polymer having a first melting point and a second polymer having a second melting point being higher than the first melting point. The nonwoven backing material comprises a third polymer having a third melting point and a fourth polymer having a fourth melting point being higher than the third melting point. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric is further bonded to the nonwoven backing material applying heat to at least partially melt or soften the first polymer and the third polymer such that they bond together.
FABRIC JACKET TO PREVENT NONMETALLIC EQUIPMENT FROM EXTREME HEAT, EXTERNAL DAMAGE AND FIRE
A protective fabric jacket for placement on an object to be protected from excessive heat includes a first layer; a second layer; and an intermediate spacer fabric layer that is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The first and second layers are attached to the intermediate spacer fabric layer to form a layered structure. The intermediate spacer fabric layer comprises a flexible honeycomb or octagonal shaped spacer fabric that has a plurality of cells defined therein. The protective fabric jacket also includes a settable material that disposed within the cells and includes a cementitious mixture and one or more organic polymers and is settable to a hardened material.
Waistbands having Absorbent, Wicking, Expandable Bandrolls and Garments With Same
A waistband for a garment includes a bandroll having an absorption layer and a wicking layer. The wicking layer controls stretch properties of the absorption layer. The waistband comprises a second material and wherein a shrinkage of a material substrate of the bandroll substantially matches a shrinkage of the second material.
MULTILAYER COMPOSITE INTERIOR COMPONENT
Provided is a multilayer composite interior component, in which boundary protrusions (20b) aligned in a row on both sides of a parting line (L) are arranged in a staggered manner so as to bend toward the boundary protrusions (20b) in the row opposite thereto. In this way, even when the boundary protrusions (20b) are separated from the parting line (L) by a predetermined distance (g1, g2) in order to maintain the strength of a divided mold, the boundary protrusions (20b ) bend and deform so as to fill in an empty part in the vicinity of the parting line (L) when a surface layer member (16) is pressed by fingers or a hand. As a result, a feeling of unevenness resulting from decreases in reaction force in the vicinity of the parting line (L) is minimized, thus making it possible to obtain a more uniform texture.
VACUUM INSULATION PANEL
It is an object of the invention to provide a heat-resistant vacuum insulation panel having two heat-resistant protective layers to improve fire protection, in particular at locations of the vacuum insulation panel subject to mechanical stress.
REFLECTIVE AND HIGH VISIBILITY MATERIALS, INCLUDING MESH LAYER
A retroreflective material that includes a base layer formed of a mesh material, and a retroreflective material layer superposed upon the base layer. Also, a retroreflective laminated material that includes a first layer consisting of a transparent or translucent material; a second layer; and a third layer consisting of an opaque material. The first, second and third layers are laminated together, with the second layer located between the first and third layers. Additionally, the second layer is textured and/or patterned and includes a retroreflective material on an outer surface thereof. In preferred embodiments, the end user of the resulting material, or other person(s), can visibly see the materials that make up a least some of the layers of the laminated material.
STOWABLE BED
A self-inflating stowable bed. The bed includes one or more self-inflating chambers, with each of the self-inflating chambers having one or more polyurethane foam sections therein, with the chamber defined between a first air impervious layer and a second air impervious layer. The self-inflating bed may be evacuated by a household or shop vacuum, and then sealed, rolled or folded, and easily stored or shipped. The polyurethane foam sections may be provided with different members having different indentation force deflection specifications suitable for bed portions and edge of bed portions.
Method for producing a plastic molded article, plastic molded article and mold
A method for producing a decorated plastic molded article with the steps: a) providing a base body made of a fiber composite plastic b) providing a decorative film; c) heating the base body; d) joining the base body and the decorative film in a mold.
