FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN HOLLOW MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A fiber reinforced resin hollow molded body 30 in which a resin-integrated fiber sheet is used. The resin-integrated fiber sheet includes unidirectional continuous fibers that are spread fibers of a continuous fiber group and arrayed unidirectionally in parallel, and thermoplastic resin that is present at least on a surface of the unidirectional continuous fibers. In the hollow molded body, in a state where the resin-integrated fiber sheet or a plurality of the resin-integrated fiber sheets 30 are stacked, the resin-integrated fiber sheet or the plurality of resin-integrated fiber sheets are wound to produce a wound body having an overlapping portion. The thermoplastic resin is impregnated in the unidirectional continuous fibers. The resin-integrated fiber sheet or the plurality of resin-integrated fiber sheets are consolidated.
High buoyancy composite materials
Ballistic resistant composite materials having high positive buoyancy in water are provided. More particularly, provided are foam-free, buoyant composite materials fabricated using dry processing techniques. The materials comprise fibrous plies that are partially coated with a particulate binder that is thermopressed to transform a portion of the binder into raised, discontinuous patches bonded to fiber/tape surfaces, while another portion of the particulate binder remains on the fibers/tapes as unmelted particles. The presence of the unmelted binder particles maintains empty spaces within the composite materials which increases the positive buoyancy of the composites in water.

TISSUE SUBSTITUTE MULTILAYER MATRIX AND USES THEREOF
Compositions-of-matter comprising a matrix made of one or more, preferably two or more elastic layers and one or more viscoelastic layer are disclosed. The compositions-of-matter are characterized by high water-impermeability and optionally by self-recovery. Processes of preparing the compositions-of-matter and uses thereof as tissue substitutes or for repairing damaged tissues are also disclosed.
Fiber-reinforced plastic panel material
An FRP panel material includes reinforcing fibers oriented in predetermined orientation directions near the surface. In the surface of the panel material, a plurality of either or both of protrusions and depressions having shapes of congruent regular triangular pyramids are provided. The bases of the regular triangular pyramids are arranged on a virtual reference plane along the surface with no gap or overlap so that each vertex of an equilateral triangle constituting each base is shared by six of the bases as vertices thereof. Each of the orientation directions of the reinforcing fibers is parallel to any lateral edge of each regular triangular pyramid as seen in the thickness direction of the panel material.

PREPREG, LAMINATE, AND INTEGRATED PRODUCT
A prepreg includes composition elements [A], [B], and [C] described below, [A] a reinforcing fiber, [B] a thermosetting resin, and [C] a thermoplastic resin. [C] is present on a surface of the prepreg, [B] contains a first curing agent [b1] and a second curing agent [b2], and the reinforcing fiber of [A] that crosses over a boundary surface between a resin region containing [B] and a resin region containing [C] and that is in contact with both resin regions is present.
ADHESIVE TAPE
The present invention relates to an adhesive tape having a layer structure in which an adhesive layer, a first film layer (I), a base material layer, and a second film layer (II) are arranged in this order, in which the base material layer satisfies a predetermined requirement that a ratio (a)/(b) of a thickness (a) to a thickness (b) is not less than 1.7 or not more than 0.6 in which the thickness (a) is a thickness from the first film layer (I)-side of the base material layer to the outer surface of the adhesive layer and the thickness (b) is a thickness from the second film layer (II)-side surface of the base material layer to the outer surface of the second film layer (II), and at least one layer constituting the layer structure contains a flame retardant (C).
NEW OR IMPROVED MICROPOROUS MEMBRANES, BUILDING MATERIALS COMPRISING THE SAME, AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME
In at least one embodiment, a building material comprising a porous membrane having a moderate to high water vapor permeability and high liquid water penetration resistance is disclosed. The building material may be used in building applications, including as or as part of a building wrap, a rain screen, a roofing underlayment, a flashing, a sound proofing material, or an insulation material. The porous membrane may include at least one thermoplastic polymer, at least one filler, and at least one processing oil. The porous membrane may be flat or may have ribs. The porous membrane may include at least one scrim component.
Resilient Plant Development Media
Resilient plant development media are disclosed that can include a first layer that includes a plurality of adjacent strands, a second layer that includes a plurality of strands that are adjacent and that is in stacked relation relative to the first layer, wherein the strands of the first layer and the strands of the second layer are in a non-aligned orientation relative to each other. The strands in the first layer and the strands in the second layer may define a crisscross pattern. The multilayer resilient media is effective in supporting seeds during germination and plants throughout their growth and development. The multilayer resilient media is effective for use in various plant growing modalities, e.g., aeroponic, nutrient film, and hydroponic plant growing environments, ratooning processes, and may be easily cleaned for reuse.
