Sheet, laminate sheet, and printing device
A sheet includes a first surface, a second surface, an adhesive portion, a fold-back portion, and a first area. The first surface extends in a first direction. The second surface is opposite to the first surface, and allows light to pass therethrough from the first surface to the second surface. The adhesive portion is a portion of the first surface to which an adhesive is applied, and is disposed at a first end portion of the sheet in the first direction. The fold-back portion is disposed on the first end portion. The first area is disposed on the adhesive portion between a first edge of the first end portion and the fold-back portion.
Tailored coefficient of thermal expansion of composite laminates using fiber steering
Provided are assemblies, each including a first structure having a uniform coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and a second composite structure having a variable CTE. Also provided are methods of forming such assemblies. The second structure has overlap, transition, and baseline regions. The overlap region directly interfaces the first structure and has a CTE comparable to that of the first structure. The baseline region is away from the first structure and has a different CTE. Each of these CTEs may be uniform in its respective region. The transition region may interconnect the baseline and overlap regions and may have gradual CTE change from one end to the other. The CTE variation with the second composite structure may be achieved by changing fiber angles in at least one ply extending through all three regions. For example, any of the plies may be subjected to fiber steering.
Pipe insulation and method of and system for making same
Methods of and systems for forming pipe insulation are disclosed. The pipe insulation has properties that are non-homogenous through its thickness.
FLEXIBLE SUPPORT, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided is a flexible support. The flexible support includes two first flexible support plates and one second flexible support plate. The second flexible support plate includes a first foldable region extending along a first direction, wherein the first foldable region includes a first side edge and a second side edge extending along the first direction; one of the two first flexible support plates is disposed on a side, distal from the second side edge, of the first side edge, the other of the two first flexible support plates is disposed on a side, distal from the first side edge of the second side edge, and the two first flexible support plates are respectively connected to two opposite side edges of the second flexible support plate. A material density of the first flexible support plate is less than a material density of the second flexible support plate.
Panel assembly with molded foam backing
A seat trim cover having a 3-dimensional shape for an automotive vehicle seat is formed by pre-cutting a laminate blank into a predefined shape having a predefined selvage extending around an outer periphery of the laminate blank, vacuum forming the laminate blank in a 3-dimensional mold to form a 3-dimensional laminate blank, and forming a molded foam backing on the 3-dimensional shaped laminate blank to form the seat trim cover. The molded foam backing has an outer perimeter that is spaced apart from the predefined selvage such that the predefined selvage is free of foam.
Patterned Apertured Webs
A patterned apertured web is disclosed. The patterned apertured web includes a plurality of land areas in the patterned apertured web and a plurality of apertures defined in the patterned apertured web. At least some land areas of the plurality of land areas surround at least some apertures of the plurality of apertures. The patterned apertured web has an Effective Open Area in the range of about 3% to about 30%, according to the Aperture Test herein. The patterned apertured web has a plurality of Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test herein. The Interaperture Distances have a distribution having a median and a mean. The plurality of apertures include a first set of apertures defining a first shape and a second set of apertures defining a second shape.
Aerographics and denier differential zoned garments
The present disclosure relates to a multi-layered design for an article of apparel such as swimwear. In particular, at least one layer may include a stretch resistant matrix made of a thermoplastic polymer, a silicone or other similar material to provide additional support and modesty to certain areas of the apparel, such as the bust area. Further, a method of manufacturing the article of apparel is also disclosed. According to aspects described herein, the layers may be integrated using techniques to increase the overall integrity of the apparel.
Antimicrobial surfaces for flow path components
According to an aspect, a flow path component includes a flow path component body having a flow surface. The flow path component also includes a plurality of antimicrobial nanoparticles embedded in the flow surface and at least partially exposed external to the flow surface to provide an antimicrobial surface.
GRAPHITE MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
A graphite material has a flexible part and can be utilized as a heat-conveying material in a narrow space. The graphite material, includes: at least one heat-conveying part; and a flexible part. A method for producing a graphite material, includes: (i) subjecting at least one film serving as a material to a heat treatment to obtain at least one carbonaceous film; (ii) providing a monolayer or multilayer structure including the at least one carbonaceous film; and (iii) applying heat and pressure to at least one part of the monolayer or multilayer structure in an inert atmosphere.
COMPOSITE CONSTRUCTION FOR AN INCREASED SERVICE LIFE
A composite construction, such as, in particular, a composite plate having a sandwich-type construction, has two outer layers which are mutually opposed in parallel and a foam material completely filling the space between the outer layers at least in some regions. The outer layers are interconnected by means of spacers, and the spacers are connected to the outer layers via a cured plastics material.
