REVERSIBLE ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS, RELATED ARTICLES, AND RELATED METHODS
The disclosure relates to a reversible adhesive composition including a copolymer between a vinyl spacer monomer unit and a vinyl reversible binder monomer unit. Each monomer unit can be based on acrylate monomer, a vinyl ester monomer, or a vinyl ether monomer, with the spacer monomer unit generally having a shorter pendant chain (such as 1-3 carbon atoms) and the reversible binder monomer unit having a longer pendant chain (such as 3-20 carbon atoms). A corresponding article includes first and second surfaces (or substrates) that are in contact with and bonded to the reversible adhesive composition at an interface therebetween. The reversible adhesive composition generally involves non-covalent and/or non-ionic bonding forces, for example H-bonding, permanent dipole, electron donor-acceptor moieties, and/or van der Waals forces, between the copolymer chains. The first and second surfaces can be repeatedly bonded, separated, and re-bonded while retaining the adhesive strength of the reversible adhesive composition.
Composite pipe and method for manufacturing the same
A composite pipe, including, successively, from the inside out in the radial direction of the composite pipe: an inner liner layer; a reinforced layer; and an outer protective layer. The reinforced layer includes a bamboo fiber reinforced layer and a straw reinforced layer. The bamboo fiber reinforced layer includes a plurality of bamboo strip layers. Each bamboo strip layer includes winding bamboo strips. The straw reinforced layer includes a plurality of straw layers. Each straw layer includes winding stems of straw.
VENEERED ELEMENT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SUCH A VENEERED ELEMENT
A method for the generation of a gas mixture comprising carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and optionally hydrogen for use in hydroformylation plants or in carbonylation plants, including mixing an optional steam with carbon dioxide in the desired molar ratio, feeding the resulting gas to a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) or an SOEC stack at a sufficient temperature for the cell or cell stack to operate while effecting a partial conversion of carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide and optionally of steam to hydrogen, removing some or all the remaining steam from the raw product gas stream by cooling the raw product gas stream and separating the remaining product gas from a liquid, and using said gas mixture containing CO and CO.sub.2 for liquid phase synthesis reactions utilizing carbon monoxide as one of the reactants while recycling CO.sub.2 to the SOEC or SOEC stack.
Engineered flooring product and method of manufacturing thereof
An engineered flooring product suitable for indoor or outdoor flooring applications, and a method of manufacturing thereof are provided. The engineered flooring product comprises a core layer, the core layer comprising: (i) a hydrate compound comprising magnesium hydroxide and magnesium chloride; (ii) one or more hydrate compounds each comprising magnesium hydroxide and magnesium sulfate; and (iii) one or more stabilizing agents. The hydrate compounds are derived at least in part from magnesium oxide. The core layer has a composition that is free of PVC and other plastic-based materials and is selected to provide one or more desired physical properties such as, but not limited to, a desired degree of water resistance, durability, and thermal expansion and contraction. The core layer preferably has a composition that provides a thermal expansion coefficient equivalent to or comparable to concrete.
LAMINATED WOOD POLYMER COMPOSITE ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MAKING A LAMINATED WOOD POLYMER COMPOSITE ARTICLE
A laminated composite article having a core component and laminate sheet. The laminate sheet is disposed and overlying at least a portion of the core component. The laminate sheet includes a wear layer and an ink layer. The laminate sheet includes UV absorbers. The UV absorbers are arranged and disposed to provide ink stability to the ink layer. Methods for forming the laminated composite article are also disclosed.
Thermally insulated roofing device
One subject of the present invention is a roofing device (1) comprising an area support (2) made up of panels of wood particles on which a vapor barrier first layer (3), an insulating second layer (4) and a third layer (5) that is impermeable to liquid water are laid. Said device (1) is one wherein the second layer (4) is a composite layer formed by the superposition of two distinct homogeneous elementary layers (6 and 6), namely a lower elementary layer (6) of wood fiber and an upper elementary layer (6) made up of a material that is at least partially bio-sourced, that has hygroscopic, antifungal and thermal-insulation properties and that has a low resistance to the diffusion of water vapor.
VEHICLE INTERIOR MEMBER
A vehicle interior member includes: a first core material; a first skin forming a first rim part in which at least a part of the peripheral edge part is folded back to the back surface side of the first core material to sandwich a peripheral edge part of the first core material; a second core material; a second skin forming a second rim part in which at least a part of the peripheral edge part is folded back to the back surface side of the second core material to sandwich a peripheral edge part of the second core material; and a stitch part that stitches the first rim part, the peripheral edge part of the first core material sandwiched by the first rim part, the second rim part, and the peripheral edge part of the second core material sandwiched by the second rim part.
Transaction and ID cards having selected texture and coloring
Cards made in accordance with the invention include a decorative layer attached to a core layer, where the decorative layer is designed to provide selected color(s) and/or selected texture(s) to a surface of the metal cards. At least one of the decorative layers is a layer derived from animal matter (e.g. leather). The cards may be dual interface smart cards configured to be read in a contactless manner and/or via contacts.
Laminating device and a method for laminating a decor layer onto a carrier part
A laminating device and method for laminating a decor layer onto a carrier part includes a lower tool with a support region for receiving the carrier part, an upper tool including a pressing surface for exerting a pressing pressure onto the decor layer which is arranged between an upper side of the carrier part and the pressing surface, and at least one movable slider for edge-folding an overhang of the decor layer around an edge of the carrier part by way of pressing the slider against the overhang of the decor layer. A distance between the lower tool and the pressing surface can be enlarged or reduced. The lower tool includes a first membrane, wherein the arrangement of the first membrane and the slider to one another is such that the first membrane is movable onto the slider, for pressing the slider against the overhang of the decor layer.
