Graphite containing article
Cookware and other heating articles are included herein. The article may have a substrate forming a bottom surface of the cookware. The article may also have a graphite intermediate layer and cooking/heating surface disposed above the intermediate layers. The graphite layer may have one or more of the following properties: (1) a density of at least 0.64 g/cm.sup.3; (2) a water pick-up of a less than 30% by weight after a 2.5 hour soak in water at ambient conditions; (3) a Taber stiffness in the machine direction at least 25% higher than in the transverse direction; and (4) a sulfur content of less than 350 ppm and any combination thereof.
Laminated wood polymer composite article and method of making a laminated wood polymer composite article
A laminated composite article having a core component and laminate sheet. The laminate sheet is disposed and overlying at least a portion of the core component. The laminate sheet includes a wear layer and an ink layer. The laminate sheet includes UV absorbers. The UV absorbers are arranged and disposed to provide ink stability to the ink layer. Methods for forming the laminated composite article are also disclosed.
STABILIZING RODS FOR STONE SLABS WITH A UNIDIRECTIONAL SCRIM
Disclosed is a stone or ceramic plate stabilized with the aid of fiber-coated stabilizing strips, which are mounted below the edges of the stone slat or incorporated below the edges in the stone slat. The strips are characterized in that, for reasons of optimizing the material, they have an arrangement of the fiber direction at the top and bottom for the respective load case as a tension belt and are therefore designed with unidirectional fiber layers and these fibers are as close as possible to the respective surface of the top and bottom lie to be stabilized stone plate. The tension belt preferably has a height or thickness which is greater than half the thickness of the stone slab to be stabilized and a width which is appropriate to the total load at the respectively occurring bending load.
Vibration Reduction Sheet and Method of Reducing Vibration
Provided herein is a vibration reducing sheet comprising a damping patch, a stiffening patch, and a substrate. The substrate is connected to the damping patch and the stiffening patch, and in some embodiments, the damping patch and the stiffening patch do not contact one another. The sheet can be connected to a base structure that is prone to vibrations. Because the damping patch and the stiffening patch can thus be applied to different locations of the base structure, the two patch types can independently be positioned to provide enhanced vibration reduction and mitigation.
Fire performance for wood veneer laminated ceiling tile
The present invention is directed to a building panel having a laminate structure, the laminate structure including a topcoat layer comprising a first intumescent composition, a cellulosic veneer layer, an adhesive layer formed from an adhesive composition comprising a second intumescent composition, and a metallic substrate layer and wherein the cellulosic veneer layer is at least partially bonded to the metallic substrate by the adhesive layer. The resulting building panel exhibits superior flame retardancy resulting in a Class A fire rating, according to ASTM E-84.
Hard surface veneer and wood polymer composite flooring tile
An apparatus includes a first floor tile that includes a bottom layer that is composed of a wood polymer composite and having a main portion, a tongue portion extending beyond a first edge of the main portion, a groove portion extending within the main portion at a second edge of the main portion opposite the first edge, the base portion having a width. The first floor tile includes a top layer that is composed of ceramic and having a width greater than the width of the main portion, the top layer fixed to the bottom layer such that (1) a first edge of the top layer extends beyond the first edge of the main portion and covers a portion of the tongue portion, (2) a second edge of the top layer extends beyond the second edge of the main portion and covers a portion of the tongue portion.
ACTIVATOR FOR ACCELERATED ADHESION DEVELOPMENT
An activator composition having a) between 0.5% and 50% by weight of a catalyst K for crosslinking two-component adhesives which is liquid at 23 C., b) between 40% and 99.5% by weight of an organic solvent L, c) between 0% and 10% by weight of at least one silane S including at least one hydrolyzable silane group and preferably at least one functional group selected from mercapto, epoxy, amino, methacryloyl, vinyl and alkyl group. The activator composition is storage stable for at least one month. The activator composition is moreover active independently of the applied amount and may be applied in layers having a thickness such that the adhesive may be applied after not more than 30 seconds.
Transaction card having structural reinforcement
The disclosed embodiments generally relate to transaction cards and methods for manufacturing transaction cards. The transaction card may include a first card component having a first surface and a first structural feature associated with the first surface. The transaction card may also include a second card component separate from the first card component and attachable thereto. The second card component may include a second surface and a second structural feature associated with the second surface. The first and second structural features may be configured to interconnect.
FLOOR PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FLOOR PANEL
Floor panel, which includes a substrate and a top layer provided above, and preferably directly above, the substrate, where the top layer includes a dcor layer, a thermoplastic wear layer, and a lacquer layer provided above, and preferably directly above, the wear layer, and where the floor panel has an upper surface showing a relief, where the relief has a maximum relief depth which is larger than 100 microns, and where the wear layer and the lacquer layer are embossed in order to form the relief.
COSMETIC SHEET AND COSMETIC PLATE
Provided is a decorative sheet for laminating on a base having a thermal conductivity of less than 0.1 W/(m.Math.K) on a side to which the decorative sheet is bonded, wherein
(1) the decorative sheet comprises non-halogen-based thermoplastic resin-containing layers,
(2) at least one of the non-halogen-based thermoplastic resin-containing layers is a layer containing a non-halogen-based flame retardant,
