A first facing sheet is positioned on a lower major face of the layer of foam insulation and a second facing sheet is positioned on an upper major face of the layer of foam insulation. A surface covering layer is positioned on an exposed face of the first facing sheet.
SKIN MATERIAL, INTERIOR MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INTERIOR MATERIAL
For the purpose of providing a skin material that is easily bonded to a base material, an interior material including the skin material, and a method for manufacturing the interior material, a skin material includes a base cloth layer and a design layer. The base cloth layer includes a surface fabric and a back fabric, and a binding yarn that binds the surface fabric and the back fabric. The binding yarn is erected between the surface fabric and the back fabric to form a void inside the base cloth layer. An embossed pattern is formed in a concave shape on the skin material from the design layer side. A thin portion is formed in a band shape in a peripheral edge portion of the skin material. The skin material is bonded to the base material to obtain an interior material.
Manufacturing a concentrating sub-module comprising a heat-dissipating material
A method for manufacturing a concentrating photovoltaic solar sub-module equipped with a reflective face having a concave predefined geometric shape, wherein it includes laminating, in a single step, a multi-layer assembly comprising in succession: a structural element equipped with a reflective first face and a second face, opposite the first; a layer of a material of good thermal conductivity, higher than that of the material from which the structural element is composed, the layer being placed on the second face of the structural element; a layer of encapsulant or of adhesive; a photovoltaic receiver, the layer of encapsulant or of adhesive being placed between the layer of a material of good thermal conductivity and the receiver; a layer made of transparent encapsulating material, covering at least the entire surface of the photovoltaic receiver; and a transparent protective layer covering the layer made of transparent encapsulating material; and during the lamination, the reflective face of the structural element is shaped by being brought into contact with a convex surface of a counter-mold, in order to obtain the reflective face of concave predefined geometric shape.
Multiple layer article with interactive reinforcements linear ribbon fiber reinforcement for composite forms
A form for a thin reinforced composite material includes a plurality of separate linear fiber strips, each having a rectangular cross section composed of reinforcement fibers. The linear fiber strips laid out in a two-dimensional base layer defining a shape of the form. A first successive layer formed with the plurality of separate linear fiber strips contacting the base layer, the linear fiber strips laid out in the first successive layer interspersed from the separate linear fiber strips in the two-dimensional base layer. A method of forming the form includes arranging the plurality of separate linear fiber strips on a substrate and tacking the plurality of separate linear fiber strips to the substrate with a plurality of stitches. A method of forming a unitary reinforced composite component from the form is further provided. The resulting component having high strength and light weight and being efficient to manufacture.
Fabric having tobacco entangled with structural fibers
A smokeless tobacco product includes smokeless tobacco and structural fibers. The structural fibers forming a network in which the smokeless tobacco is entangled. The structural fibers have a composition different from the smokeless tobacco. The tobacco-entangled fabric can have an overall oven volatiles content of at least 10 weight percent. In some embodiments, the structural fibers form a nonwoven network. In some embodiments, fibrous structures of the smokeless tobacco are entangled with the structural fibers.
Graphite sheet and method for manufacturing same
A graphite sheet having a ratio of thermal diffusivity in horizontal and vertical directions of 300 or more is disclosed. Also, a graphite sheet having a ratio of thermal diffusivity in a vertical direction of 2.0 mm.sup.2/s or less is disclosed. The graphite sheet has excellent thermal conductivity in horizontal and vertical directions and excellent flexibility at the same time and can be produced at low manufacturing cost, thereby holding an economic advantage.
Multilayer composite material and method for manufacturing
The invention relates to a structural multilayer composite comprising a layer of leather in contact with at least one monolayer comprising parallel aligned fibers and a matrix material. The composite may further comprise film layer(s) that may be breathable and/or waterproof. The structural multilayer composite material is suitable for use in clothing and outdoor gear and apparel.
FULLY-ADHERED ROOFING SYSTEMS UTILIZING A PRIMER HAVING A SILICON-TERMINATED POLYMER
A method of installing a roof system includes providing a first membrane composite; adhesively securing the first membrane composite to a roof surface through a UV-cured pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; providing a second membrane composite; adhesively securing the second membrane composite to the roof surface through a UV-cured pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, where the second membrane composite is positioned adjacent to and partially overlapping a lap area of the first membrane composite; and adhesively securing the second membrane composite to a first planar surface of the first membrane composite along a primer layer through the UV-cured pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed on the second membrane composite.
LAMINATED MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A method for manufacturing a laminated molded body includes a cutting-out step for cutting out a cushion layer to form a cut-out part; a base material laminating step for forming a first laminated body; an insulating material placing step of attaching an insulating material to the cut-out part; a first thermocompression bonding step for bonding the first laminated body by thermocompression; a removing step for removing the cut-out part to form an opening; a skin laminating step for forming a second laminated body; and a second thermocompression bonding step for bonding the skin at the opening part to the lower layer material by bonding the second laminated body by thermocompression, the lower layer material being arranged below the cushion layer having the opening part.
