Systems and methods for multi-modal and non-invasive stimulation of the nervous system
Systems and methods are provided to combine multiple stimulation modalities to significantly increase the effectiveness of non-invasive stimulation. Multiple sensor and stimulation devices and modalities can be combined into a single, compact unit that minimizes the need for additional sensors or stimulation devices. The system features several subunits, referred to as sensory and stimulation devices (SSD), that are integrated into a headphone setup. The system is controlled by a centralized controller that communicates with all of the SSDs and with an external computer system that delivers learning material synchronized with the delivery of stimulations and the collection of user responses based on physiological signals.
VIRTUAL REALITY ACTIVITIES FOR VARIOUS IMPAIRMENTS
Systems and methods are provided for identifying a therapeutic VR activity or exercise for a subject/patient based on the subject's impairments, dynamically adjusting a VR activity for a patient, and identifying potential impairments based on a patient's performance in a VR activity. Patients may each have various physical, neurological, cognitive, and/or sensory impairments to be treated. Not all therapeutic activities may be appropriate for some patients and their impairments. A VR therapeutic activity platform may increase patient engagement and challenge patients at more appropriate times by better matching activities corresponding to a patient's impairments and dynamically adjusting each VR activity based on performance to offer a challenging and rewarding therapeutic experience.

Heart rate monitor for an aerosol delivery device
An aerosol delivery device is provided that includes at least one housing structured to retain an aerosol precursor composition. The device includes an atomizer, and a microprocessor configured to operate in an active mode in which the control body is configured to control the atomizer to activate and produce an aerosol from the aerosol precursor composition. And the device includes a heart rate monitor including a plurality of biopotential electrodes affixed to the housing and configured to obtain biopotential measurements from a user, and including signal conditioning circuitry configured to produce an electrocardiogram signal from the biopotential measurements. The microprocessor is coupled to the signal conditioning circuitry and further configured to control operation of at least one functional element of the aerosol delivery device based on the electrocardiogram signal or a heart rate of the user calculated therefrom.

Smart relaxation mask
Aspects of the present disclosure provide a smart relaxation mask configured to output a stimulus and collect biometric information while the stimulus is output to determine if the subject is paying attention to the stimulus. If the subject is not focused on the stimulus, the mask adjusts at least one of an audio, visual, or haptic output. The stimulus is adjusted in an effort to shift the subject's attention to the stimulus and away from racing thoughts.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAINTAINING FLUID BALANCE
A signal processing circuit for controlling operation of an implanted ventricular assist device comprising an input module for receiving one or more signals of a patient from one or more sensors. A processor for processing the received signals is included, the processor configured to compare a total blood output on a left side of the patient's heart with a total blood output on a right side of the patient's heart; determine at least one from the group consisting of the presence of fluid imbalance between the left and right sides of the patient's heart and the absence of fluid imbalance between the left and right sides of the patient's heart based on the comparison; and when the presence of fluid imbalance is determined, control the implanted ventricular device to restore fluid balance between the left and right sides of the patient's heart.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MITIGATING ACUTE REOXYGENATION INJURY DURING PERCUTANEOUS CORONARY INTERVENTION
A system and methods are described for improving the management of ischemic cardiac tissue during acute coronary syndromes. The system combines a catheter-based sub-system which allows for simultaneous balloon dilation of a coronary artery and infusion of a carefully controlled perfusate during percutaneous coronary intervention. The system allows for modulation of levels of oxygen at the time of percutaneous intervention. In addition, catheters and systems are provided for administration of fluids with modified oxygen content during an intervention that incorporate upstream flow control members to compartmentalize the perfusion of the target coronary artery and the remainder of the heart.
Apparatus, system, and method for physiological sensing in vehicles
Methods and apparatus provide physiological movement detection, such as gesture, breathing, cardiac and/or gross motion, such as with sound, radio frequency and/or infrared generation, by electronic devices such as vehicular processing devices. The electronic device in a vehicle may, for example, be any of an audio entertainment system, a vehicle navigation system, and a semi-autonomous or autonomous vehicle operations control system. One or more processors of the device, may detect physiological movement by controlling producing sensing signal(s) in a cabin of a vehicle housing the electronic device. The processor(s) control sensing, with a sensor, reflected signal(s) from the cabin. The processor(s) derive a physiological movement signal with the sensing signal and reflected signal and generate an output based on an evaluation of the derived physiological movement signal. The output may control operations or provide an input to any of the entertainment system, navigation system, and vehicle operations control system.
