SOUNDPROOF STRUCTURE
Provided is a soundproof structure that can obtain high soundproofing performance and suitably maintain characteristics of a forming material. A soundproof structure includes: a microperforated sheet having a plurality of through-holes penetrating in a thickness direction, in which an average opening diameter of the through-holes in a main surface of the microperforated sheet is 0.1 m or more and less than 100 m, at least some of the plurality of through-holes are a through-hole A that has a shape having an internal maximum hole diameter, and in the through-hole A, assuming that a minimum hole diameter is .sub.1 and a maximum hole diameter is .sub.2, 1<.sub.2/.sub.15 is satisfied.
CROSS-LAMINATED TIMBER HAVING A CONDUIT THEREIN
A cross-laminated panel including a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first layer of the cross-laminated panel having first boards oriented in a first direction. The second layer of the cross-laminated panel having second boards oriented in a second direction, the second direction being substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The third layer of the cross-laminated panel having third boards oriented in the first direction. The cross-laminated panel also including adhesive situated between each of the first layer, the second layer, and the third layer. The cross-laminated panel further including a hollow member forming a conduit and disposed in any one of the first layer, the second layer, and the third layer.
A FLOOR ELEMENT FOR FORMING A FLOOR COVERING AND A FLOOR COVERING
A floor element for forming a floor covering, wherein the floor element comprises a decorative layer made of a ceramic material; a support layer arranged below the decorative layer; and a reinforcing layer arranged in between the decorative layer and the support layer, wherein the support layer comprises edges provided with coupling elements configured to realize a mechanical coupling with coupling elements of an adjacent floor element.
ACOUSTIC STRUCTURAL BUILDING PANELS
Described herein is an acoustic structural panel having a first exposed major surface opposite a second exposed major surface and side surfaces extending between the first and second exposed major surfaces, the acoustic structural panel comprising a first protective layer comprising at least a portion of the first exposed major surface, a second protective layer comprising at least a portion of the second exposed surface, a core structure located between the first and second protective layers, the core structure comprising, a foam body; and a fibrous body, wherein the first major exposed surface of the acoustic structural panel comprises a plurality of apertures exposing the fibrous body.
System and Method for Preventing Hose Stream Penetration Through Fire-Rated Wall Assemblies
A method prevents hose stream penetration into an interior of an enclosure from firefighting activity in a location adjacent to the enclosure. The method forms a wall structure between the enclosure and the adjacent location. The wall structure is covered with a laminated wall panel having a noncombustible wallboard secured to a metallic sheet. Each wall panel is secured to studs of the wall structure with the metallic sheet against studs of the wall structure. The metallic sheets block water of a hose stream from penetrating into the enclosure. The wall structure may also include laminated wall panels secured to the exterior side of the wall structure. Even if the noncombustible wallboard on one of the exterior laminated panels is weakened or destroyed by a fire or by the hose stream in the location adjacent to the enclosure, the metallic sheet of the exterior laminated wall panel blocks hose penetration.
