Pessary system and method for pelvic floor ligament support
A pessary system for providing pelvic floor support for USL and other ligaments. The pessary has an elongated probe with independently inflatable balloons each located substantially the same distance from the insertion end of the probe and which inflate into separate radial sectors. The probe can be inserted into a vaginal cavity and the balloons inflated provide mechanical support to the USLs. Independent inflation of each balloon allows the mechanical USL support provided to be varied on left and right sides to compensate for differences in the degree of degradation and positioning of the USL ligaments on either side.

The present invention relates to an automated stimulation device for inducing a tactile inter-stimulus onset asynchrony (ISOA) effect in a subject suffering from apnea, bradycardia and/or hypoxia, the device comprising at least two actuators configured for contacting a body portion of the subject, and interspaced for producing an apparent tactile movement in the subject upon sequential induction of actuation, wherein the duration of the actuations and the overlap in actuation time between the at least two actuators is controlled to attain an inter stimulus onset asynchrony (ISOA).

A peritoneal dialysis system includes a control unit configured to (i) store a sleep state pattern for the patient, (ii) begin a patient drain followed by a patient fill when at least one sensor indicates that the patient is in a deep sleep state, (iii) extend a dwell period if the sleep state pattern indicates that the patient will enter a subsequent deep sleep state within a first time duration after a programmed dwell period, and (iv) shorten the dwell period if the sleep state pattern indicates that the patient will leave the deep sleep state within a second time duration after an end of the programmed dwell period. The system alternatively or additionally assesses or records a stress level of and/or a fluid/caloric intake by the patient and takes actions accordingly.

A method and system of sleep maintenance includes configuring a stimulation device comprising a transducer to emit a transcutaneous vibratory output to a body part of a subject, receiving physiological data of the subject from at least one sensor at a processor, providing a stimulation pattern for the transcutaneous vibratory output to be emitted by the transducer, the stimulation pattern comprising a perceived pitch, a perceived beat, and an intensity of the transcutaneous vibratory output, causing the transducer to emit the transcutaneous vibratory output in the stimulation pattern, determining a sleep state of the subject based on the physiological data, and altering the stimulation pattern based on the sleep state, wherein altering comprises at least one of (i) reducing a frequency of the perceived pitch, (ii) increasing an interval of the perceived beat, or (iii) reducing the intensity.

Systems include a plurality of electrodes configured to be coupled to a brain of a user and configured to obtain a plurality of measurements from the brain of the user, and an interface configured to obtain the plurality of measurements from the plurality of electrodes. Systems include a processing device comprising one or more processors configured to generate a sleep state model associated with the user, the sleep state model identifying characteristics of a plurality of sleep stages, and further identifying characteristics of transitions between the plurality of sleep stages. Systems include a controller comprising one or more processors configured to generate a control signal based on the sleep state model and the plurality of measurements.
