Fiber reinforced aerogel insulation
A fiberglass reinforced aerogel composite may include coarse glass fibers, glass microfibers, aerogel particles, and a binder. The coarse glass fibers may have an average fiber diameter between about 8 μm and about 20 μm. The glass microfibers may have an average fiber diameter between about 0.5 μm and about 3 μm. The glass microfibers may be homogenously dispersed within the coarse glass fibers. The aerogel particles may be homogenously dispersed within the coarse glass fibers and the glass microfibers. The fiberglass reinforced aerogel composite may include between about 50 wt. % and about 75 wt. % of the aerogel particles. The binder bonds the coarse glass fibers, the glass microfibers, and the aerogel particles together.
Refrigerator door and manufacturing method thereof
A refrigerator door includes an outer plate that is made of metal and defines a front surface of the refrigerator door, a door liner that is coupled to the outer plate and defines a rear surface of the refrigerator door, an insulator disposed in a space defined between the outer plate and the door liner and made of polyurethane, and a foam cushion disposed at a rear surface of the outer plate and configured to expand or contract based on a change of a volume of the insulator.
Flooring arrangement for an aircraft
A flooring arrangement for an aircraft cabin and an aircraft with the flooring arrangement. The flooring arrangement at least one insulating layer for insulating the cabin; a wire mesh disposed above the at least one insulating layer; a carpet layer disposed above the wire mesh, the carpet layer and the wire mesh being in electrically conductive contact; and at least one resistive element connected to the wire mesh, the wire mesh being structured and arranged for being electrically connected to a conductive structure of the aircraft via the at least one resistive element. The resistive element allows transmission, from the wire mesh to the conductive structure, of electrostatic charges developed on the carpet layer, and impedes transmission, from the conductive structure to the wire mesh, of high current events experienced by the aircraft.
GLASS LAMINATE ARTICLE
Provided is a glass laminate article including a core substrate having a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a side surface between the first surface and the second surface; a first metal sheet on the first surface; a second metal sheet on the second surface; a glass substrate on the second metal sheet; and an adhesive member bonding the glass substrate to the second metal sheet, wherein the core substrate has lower thermal conductivity than a medium density fiberboard (MDF).
THERMALLY INSULATED PIPE
Thermally insulated pipes including thermal insulation, outer jacket and medium pipes, wherein the thermal insulation includes a foam having a density of 30-80 kg/m3, the outer jacket includes a thermoplastic plastic (21) having a modulus of 300-1400 MPa and having a corrugated shape. The invention further relates to the use as well as the manufacture of such tubes. Furthermore, the invention relates to composite materials, their use for thermal insulation, as well as their manufacture.
FLEXIBLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A flexible display device is provided, including a flexible display panel which includes a display area, a bending area and a bonding area, wherein the bending area is located between the display area and the bonding area; a first backplate located on a non-display surface of the display area; and a second backplate located on a non-bonding surface of the bonding area; wherein at least one of the first backplate and the second backplate is defined as a backplate structure, the backplate structure comprises a supporting layer and a porous material layer, and the porous material layer is adhered to the flexible display panel at an end of the bending area.
Foldable Building Structures with Utility Channels and Laminate Enclosures
A foldable building structure is provided that includes a fixed space portion including a first floor portion, a first ceiling portion, a first wall portion rigidly secured to the first floor portion and the first ceiling portion. The foldable building structure includes a second wall portion which is movable between a folded position and a deployed position, and a third wall portion which movable between a folded position and a deployed position. The second and third wall portions when in their deployed positions form with the first wall portion a first wall component of the foldable building structure. The second wall portion is capable of being moved between the folded position and the deployed position without moving the third wall portion between the folded position and the deployed position.
COVER MEMBER AND MEMBER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SAME
A cover member of the present invention is a cover member to be placed on a face of an object to prevent passage of a foreign matter through an opening of the face, the cover member including: a protective membrane having a shape configured to cover the opening when the cover member is placed on the face; and a first substrate layer joined to one of principal surfaces of the protective membrane. The first substrate layer has a laminated structure including at least two substrate films, and is positioned between the protective membrane and the face when the cover member is placed on the face. The at least two substrate films include a non-foam film and a foam film. The cover member of the present invention is suitable for improving the peelability from a member supply sheet.
Gypsum Board Including a Laminate Layer
The present invention is directed to a gypsum board and a method of making such gypsum board. In one embodiment, the gypsum board comprises a gypsum core including a first gypsum core layer and a second gypsum core layer sandwiching a laminate layer. The laminate layer comprises two outer laminate layers sandwiching an inner laminate layer, wherein the two outer laminate layers have a higher elastic modulus than the inner laminate layer. The method of making the gypsum board includes steps of providing facing materials and corresponding gypsum slurries wherein the laminate layer is provided in-line during the manufacturing process of the gypsum board.
