BODY IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM
A body impact protection system includes an inner layer and an impact force dampening and defusing structure. The inner layer includes a material composition and is adjacent to a body part when the body impact protection system is worn. The impact force dampening and defusing structure is juxtaposed to the inner layer and includes a plurality of components. The components function to reduce pressure on the body part from an impact force on a layer by layer basis. Each layer of the system dampens and defuses the impact force such that, by the time it reaches the body part, it has been substantially attenuated and spread over a large area.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS WITH POLYESTERS COMPRISING 2,2,4,4-TETRAALKYL-1,3-CYCLOBUTANEDIOL
This invention relates to adhesive compositions comprising a polyester polyol that includes residues of at least one 2, 2, 4, 4-tetraalkylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol, including, for example, 2, 2, 4, 4-tetramethylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol (TMCD). Adhesive compositions as described herein exhibit enhanced properties as compared to conventional adhesive compositions, and may be suitable for a wide variety of end use applications, including, flexible packaging, woodworking, automotive uses, and electronics.
LIQUID MOISTURE CURABLE POLYURETHANE WITH IMPROVED ADHESION TO ALUMINUM
Disclosed is a one component, liquid, moisture curable polyurethane adhesive composition comprising the reaction products of a mixture including at least one polyol with an excess of one or more polyisocyanates and an acid component. The adhesive composition has enhanced bond strength to metals such as aluminum compared to currently available adhesives. The composition finds special use in panel lamination applications.

Steel sheet for hot press and manufacturing method thereof
Disclosed is a steel sheet for hot press forming, which includes: a base steel sheet; and a plating layer disposed on the base steel sheet and including a diffusion layer and a surface layer that are sequentially laminated, wherein the diffusion layer includes an Fe—Al alloy layer and an Fe—Al intermetallic compound layer that are sequentially disposed on the base steel sheet and each include silicon, and an area fraction of the Fe—Al intermetallic compound layer with respect to the diffusion layer is 84.5% to 98.0%.
DECORATIVE SHEET AND DECORATIVE MATERIAL USING SAME
Provided is a decorative sheet comprising a base material layer, a transparent resin layer and a surface protection layer in the presented order, wherein at least one of the base material layer and the transparent resin layer is constituted by a resin composition comprising a resin having an ultraviolet absorption wavelength at least at 270 to 300 nm; absorbance All of the surface protection layer at wavelengths from 270 to 300 nm is 0.6 or more; and absorbance A.sub.12 of the transparent resin layer and the surface protection layer at wavelengths from 270 to 300 nm is 2.7 or more, and wherein the decorative sheet can suppress time-dependent degradation caused by ultraviolet ray, and has excellent weather resistance. Also provided is a decorative material obtained using the decorative sheet.
Low Heat Release Veneer Product for Aircraft Interior Components
A low heat release veneer product for aircraft interior components may include at least one substrate layer, at least one thermally-conductive layer disposed on the at least one substrate layer, at least one veneer layer disposed on the at least one thermally-conductive layer, and at least one coating disposed on the at least one veneer layer. One or more of the at least one substrate layer, the at least one thermally-conductive layer, the at least one veneer layer, or the at least one coating may be compliant with an OSU 65/65 rate of heat release test.
LAMINATED FOAM COMPOSITE BACKER BOARD FOR WET SPACE CONSTRUCTION, AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
A laminated foam composite backer board comprising: a foam core; a first adhesive layer on each face of the foam core; a polymeric film layer on the outer face of each first adhesive layer; a second adhesive layer on the outer face of each polymeric film layer; and a non-woven fabric layer on the outer face of each second adhesive layer.
CURABLE COMPOSITIONS, ARTICLES THEREFROM, AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A curable composition includes a polyol component comprising one or more polyols; a functional butadiene component; and a thermally conductive filler. The thermally conductive filler is present in an amount of at least 20 wt. %, based on the total weight of the curable composition. The curable composition has, upon curing, a thermal conductivity of at least 0.5 W/(mK).
Decorative molded part
Decorative molded part with a support, on the front side facing a visible side of the decorative molded part of which a first and a second decorative layer are arranged side by side, the first decorative layer being applied to the support as a continuous layer and the second decorative layer being applied to the first decorative layer. A decorative molded part of the type mentioned above with a special aesthetic appearance is provided by the fact that the second decorative layer is made of a wood veneer and the first decorative layer is made of a metal foil and that the second decorative layer is pressed into the first decorative layer.
