METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MODULATING STIMULI TO THE BRAIN WITH BIOSENSORS
20180250494 · 2018-09-06 · ·

Visual and auditory stimuli are provided to a patient to treat various neurological disorders or conditions and/or to provide improved mental or physical performance. The visual and auditory stimuli are provided by a wearable headset or sleep mask that may be comfortably worn by a user, such as in bed to induce sleep. The wearable headset or sleep mask includes, or works in cooperation with, sensors that determine the state of the user and modify the operation of the headset for treating various disorders or contentions.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ACOUSTIC STIMULATION OF BRAIN WAVES

A method and system for personalized acoustic brain wave stimulation of a person. The system comprises an acoustic stimulation device and a remote server. The device comprises a memory able to store operating parameters, acquisition element of a measured signal analysis element in order to assess whether the person is in a state susceptible to stimulation and emission element designed for emitting an acoustic signal. The acquisition element, analysis element and/or emission element operate depending on operating parameters. The device and the remote server comprise means of data transmission for transmitting operating data from the device to the server and transmitting second operating parameters from the server to the device. The remote server comprises means of processing operating data for determining second operating parameters.

LUCID DREAM STIMULATOR, SYSTEMS, AND RELATED METHODS

A method for communicating with devices may include monitoring brain activity of a subject via an EEG monitoring system coupled to the subject. The method also may include detecting a predefined state of brain activity of the subject. Further, based on the detecting the predefined state, the method may include wirelessly transmitting instructions from the EEG monitoring system to the at least one household device to adjust a setting of the at least one household device.

Dream enhancement apparatus and method

Dream stage enhancement uses a headband with EEG-EOG sensors, onboard processors, memory, coarse and fine time REM waveform detection modules, LEDs and an audio playback unit. After normalization to the user's EEG waveforms, the user's EEG-EOG signals are processed, REM and NREM stages detected and light, sound or AV stimuli are presented to the user based upon user-supplied light-sound-AV stimuli commands. To provide a reality check control (RCC), the head unit has a user actuatable RC interface whereby during sleep, RC stimuli are presented when the user depresses the RCC control which plays back the user supplied stimulus. In a learning mode, the user selects Recall or No Recall (NR) after the sleep period. If NR, then the system changes the color of light stimuli, light intensity, flash, audio sound type, audio intensity, and AV. If Recall the user supplied stimuli commands are carried out.

Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a system, and corresponding method, for providing ventilation synchronization between breathing gas supplied by a mechanical ventilator and the breathing needs of a patient. In providing the ventilation synchronization, a total amount of energy required during an inspiratory phase of breathing is calculated. Based on the calculated energy, a decay factor is determined. The decay factor is supplied to an inspiratory triggering system in order to provide the ventilation synchronization.
