The present invention relates to methods and devices to consolidate memory and/or cognitive functions by monitoring brain rhythms and delivering a stimulus at an appropriate stage of sleep cycle.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROMOTING A SLEEP STAGE OF A USER
20230173221 · 2023-06-08 ·

System and methods are disclosed that promote a sleep stage of a user. The systems and methods determine a current sleep stage of a user during a sleep session, with the user using a respiratory therapy system during the sleep session. The systems and methods further predict an undesired sleep stage upcoming for the user during the sleep session based, at least in part, on (i) one or more user parameters, information from one or more previous sleep sessions, or a combination thereof, and (ii) the current sleep stage. The systems and methods adjust one or more control parameters of the respiratory therapy system, of one or more devices in an environment of the user, or of a combination thereof to promote a desired sleep stage of the user, thereby optimizing sleep of the user.

Sleep Inducing Device and Sleep Management System Including Same

A sleep inducing device and a sleep management system including the same are provided. The sleep inducing device comprises: a housing unit that includes a frame of which the shape can be changed; a sensor unit that is disposed on one surface of the housing unit and includes a brain-wave measurement sensor that measures a user's brain wave; an output unit that includes a first output unit and a second output unit, wherein the first output unit is located on one side of the housing unit to output a sound or light with a first frequency, and the second output unit is located on an opposite side of the housing unit to output a sound or light with a second frequency that is different from the first frequency; and a control unit that calculates the user's sleep pattern on the basis of the brain wave signal measured by the sensor unit and changes the output signal of the output unit such that the sleep pattern approaches a predetermined value.

A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING AUDITORY SLEEP STIMULATION
20220054797 · 2022-02-24 ·

A system delivers auditory sleep stimulation. It is able to generate masking sounds for masking external noise as well as sleep stimulation tones for promoting deep sleep. Noise masking sounds are provided in a frequency range including first and second frequency bands, before the onset of sleep. In response to the detection of particular sleep characteristics (such as a particular sleep stage), the noise masking sounds in the second frequency band are stopped. Instead, sleep stimulation tones are provided in the second frequency band. Thus, noise masking continues but the sleep stimulation tones are not masked.
