The present disclosure generally relates to adhesive compositions and articles including at least one of polydiorganosiloxane polyoxamide copolymer, silicone polyurea block copolymer, and/or an addition cure silicone, a silicate tackifying resin, and inorganic particle filler. The filler is typically fumed silica. Some embodiments of the adhesive composition include at least one of a polydiorganosiloxane polyoxamide copolymer, a silicate tackifying resin in an amount of between about 10 wt % and about 70 wt %, and inorganic particle filler in between about 0.1 wt % and about 20 wt %; a silicone polyurea block copolymer, a silicate tackifying resin in an amount of between about 10 wt % and about 70 wt %, and inorganic particle filler in an amount between about 0.1 wt % and about 20 wt %; and an addition cure silicone, a silicate tackifying resin in an amount of between about 10 wt % and about 70 wt %, and inorganic particle filler in an amount between about 0.1 wt % and about 20 wt %.
Decorative material
A decorative material includes a first gloss control layer provided as a surface layer and a second gloss control layer provided on part of the first gloss control layer. The first gloss control layer contains a gloss control agent comprised of a hydrophobic inorganic material and a silicone-based release agent having a reactive terminal group. The reactive terminal group of the silicone-based release agent preferably has at least one of a hydroxyl group and an amino group. Preferably, the second gloss control layer contains a silicone-based release agent having a reactive terminal group, and the reactive terminal group of the silicone-based release agent has at least one of an acryloyl group and a methacryloyl group.
Lightweight fiber-reinforced polymer sandwich structures
Presented are fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) sandwich structures, methods for making/using such FRP sandwich structures, and motor vehicles with a vehicle component fabricated from a compression molded thermoset or thermoplastic FRP sandwich structure. A multidimensional composite sandwich structure includes first and second (skin) layers formed from a thermoset of thermoplastic polymer matrix, such as resin or nylon, filled with a fiber reinforcing material, such as chopped carbon fibers. A third (core) layer, which is encased between the first and second skin layers, is formed from a thermoset/thermoplastic polymer matrix filled with a fiber reinforcing material and a filler material, such as hollow glass microspheres. The first, second and third layers have respective rheological flow properties that are substantially similar such that all three layers flow in unison at a predetermined compression molding pressure. These layers may be formed from the same thermoset/thermoplastic polymer material, and include the same fiber reinforcing material.
Panel and Method of Producing Such a Panel
The present invention relates to panel, in particular a floor panel, a wall panel, or a ceiling panel, comprising a core layer, comprising a mineral or a cementitious material and at least one reinforcing layer situated in said core layer; wherein the panel, in particular the core layer, comprises a first pair of opposite edges, wherein a first edge of said first pair of opposing edges comprises a first coupling part, and wherein a second edge of said first pair of opposing edges comprises a complementary second coupling part, said coupling parts allowing a plurality of panels to be mutually coupled, wherein the first coupling part comprises a sideward tongue extending in a direction substantially parallel to a plane defined by the panel, and wherein the second coupling part comprises a groove configured for accommodating at least a part of the sideward tongue of another panel, said groove being defined by an upper lip and a lower lip.
SOUND ATTENUATING BUILDING PANELS
An acoustical ceiling panel including a first layer having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween, a second layer having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween, and a sealing layer having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween. The sealing layer may be positioned between the first major surface of the first layer and the second major surface of the second layer. The side surface of the sealing layer may extend beyond the side surface of the first layer and the side surface of the second layer.
MODULAR TEMPORARY CONTAINMENT SYSTEM
A barrier system for partitioning a space is formed by panels which interlock with each other to provide a barrier that is fire rated. The interlocking panels are assembled in the barrier in columns which include at least two panels. A first horizontal joint between two panels of the barrier in a first column is vertically offset from a horizontal joint between two panels of the barrier in a second column that is adjacent to the first column at a vertical joint. Each panel is made of a laminated structure including a supporting frame around a core layer, barrier layers on opposed surfaces of the core and skin layers on the barrier layers. Tongue and groove construction interlocks the panels and a locking structure formed by a tapered hook in the groove engaging into a slot of the tongue locks horizontally adjacent panels to each other.
