The present invention generally relates to a system and method for using a volatile organic compound (VOC) free low radiant flux LED UV curable composition, and more particularly to unique and novel uses of the composition such as one or two or more of a fire retardant, clear coat, composite material, resin, top coat, improved holdout coating, a sealant coat, and combinations of the same.

Wood laminate material and method for manufacturing same

Provided is a strand board with improved strength and water resistance. Reduction in productivity is prevented and characteristics of the strand board can be varied as desired while achieving certain strength and water resistance of the strand board. A strand board B is formed by stacking and laminating five strand layers 1 each formed by a large number of strands 5. The strand board B has substantially constant density distribution in the lamination direction of the strand layers 1. Three of the five strand layers 1 of the strand board B are high-density strand layers 1a having a higher density than the other strand layers 1, and the other strand layers 1 are low-density strand layers 1b.

Hot melt adhesive compositions containing propylene copolymers and methods for using the same

A hot melt adhesive composition, which may be used as a construction adhesive in hygiene articles, comprises a first polymer comprising a unimodal copolymer of propylene and ethylene and having a weight average molecular weight of between about 5,000 and 60,000 daltons; a second polymer comprising a copolymer of propylene and ethylene and having a weight average molecular weight of at least 100,000 daltons; a tackifying resin having a Ring & Ball softening point of at most 115° C.; and a plasticizer. The composition demonstrates good peel strength and good shear resistance and is sprayable, with a sufficiently low viscosity, at low application temperatures, such as at about 121° C.

HIGH STABLE AND ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY TWO-LAYER PARQUET AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

The invention discloses a high stable and environment-friendly two-layer parquet and a production method thereof. The parquet comprises a face board and multiple solid wood boards below the face board, the solid wood boards comprise multiple solid wood strips inserted side by side: any adjacent two solid wood strips of the same solid wood board are arranged tightly and alternately, and the face board and solid wood boards are closely bonded with each other by an adhesive. The length directions of the solid wood strips of any adjacent two solid wood boards are vertical to each other; and the length direction of the solid wood strips of the solid wood boards at the two ends of the parquet is vertical to the length direction of the parquet. The invention can effectively reduce the use of high-quality solid wood, save the wood resources and has high stability and high strength.

A flooring assembly comprising a plurality of flooring units each unit comprising a first stability core layer having a top surface, a bottom surface and a plurality of edge surfaces, at least two of the edge surfaces having an interlocking mechanism for attachment to the edge surfaces of the first stability core of adjacent flooring units; a sound attenuating acoustic layer attached to the top surface of the first stability core layer, a second stability core layer attached to the top surface of the acoustic layer and having a top surface, a bottom surface and a plurality of edge surfaces, at least two of the edge surfaces having an interlocking mechanism for attachment to the edge surfaces of the second stability core of adjacent flooring units; and a finish layer attached to the top surface of the second stability core layer, wherein (1) each of the layers is polygonal, and the assembly of flooring units is attachable to a surface of a structure.

HYBRID CRANE MAT UTILIZING VARIOUS LONGITUDINAL MEMBERS

A crane mat having first and second side beams or boards; a core structure made of pine or other softwoods, eucalyptus, solid plastic or elastomeric members, or hollow thermoplastic, thermosetting plastic or elastomeric members that optionally include a filler or internal reinforcing structure; external components including an upper and/or lower layers of one or more elongated members to protect the core structure, and a plurality of joining members that attach the outer side members to the core structure. Another crane mat can be made of just the solid plastic or elastomeric members, or hollow thermoplastic, thermosetting plastic or elastomeric members that each include a plurality of spaced lateral apertures passing therethrough; and joining members that include a rod that passes through the aligned lateral apertures to hold the members together in the mat. These crane mats may also include lifting elements of the types described herein.

Simulated figure panels
11241846 · 2022-02-08 ·

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for creating panels to simulate the real light tracing ability of wood fibers, and the light refractive properties of real wood figure. High light refractive man-made fibers can be molded into 3D figured panels which may then be filled with clear resin to magnify and to duplicate the light refractivity of wood figure. A protective backing material can be applied to the rear of the molded fiber panel, to provide a flat surface, and/or for adherence purposes. Rather, the 3D figured panels may also be machined into flat fiber panels to reveal a visual 3D surface that simulates the light refractivity of wood figure.
