COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR FLUID FLOW MANAGEMENT
A composite material (and its manufacture) is described that has (i) a first layer comprising an absorbent fiber material that is in contact with the area of use on its first side, (ii) a second layer comprising an absorbent material, said second layer being arranged on the second side of said first layer, wherein a plurality of channels extends through the entire first layer, from said first side to said second side thereof, and further extends into at least a portion of said second layer. This composite is of particular use in wound treatment.
Soundproof structure, sound absorbing panel, and sound adjusting panel
There are provided a soundproof structure, which can have high soundproofing performance in a wide frequency band and in which visual recognition of through-hole can be suppressed, and a sound absorbing panel and a sound adjusting panel using the soundproof structure. A sheet member having a plurality of through-holes passing therethrough in a thickness direction and a sound absorbing body disposed in contact with one main surface of the sheet member are provided. An average opening diameter of the through-holes is 0.1 μm or more and less than 100 μm. Assuming that the average opening diameter of the through-holes is ϕ (μm) and an average opening ratio is σ a parameter A expressed by A=σ×ϕ.sup.2 is 92 or less.
FOAM PANEL WITH DRAINAGE PLANE
A panel includes a foam core and a drainage plane attached to one side of the foam core. The drainage plane includes a plurality of dimples extending outward from the foam core and a plurality of flow channels between the dimples. In some configurations of the panel, the foam core extends into the dimples, and may substantially fill the dimples. The drainage plane may be attached to the foam core without being glued or fastened thereto.
Adhesive articles permitting damage free removal
The present disclosure provides adhesive articles that can be removed from surfaces without damage by having reduced or eliminated contribution of a core backing to peel force generated by the adhesive during removal. In some instances, this can be accomplished by a core that loses structural integrity in a direction normal to a plane defined by a major surface. In other instances, the contribution is reduced by compromising the interface between the core and a peelable adhesive layer.
Polymer foam adhesive tape and pressure-sensitive type touch panel comprising the same
A polymer foam adhesive tape including: a substrate film; a polymer foam layer provided on one surface of the substrate film; a first adhesive layer provided on the polymer foam layer; and a second adhesive layer provided on the other surface of the substrate film, in which the polymer foam layer has a density of 0.3 g/cm.sup.3 or less, and a thickness ratio of the substrate film to the polymer foam layer is 1:3 to 1:10.
SHEET MEMBER
A sheet member includes a transmissive member, a white member, and a phosphorescent part. The transmissive member is a sheet-shaped member with a transmissive property. The white member is a white sheet-shaped member arranged so as to overlap the transmissive member. The phosphorescent part is provided between the transmissive member and the white member and contains a phosphorescent material.
ASSEMBLY FOR IMPROVED INSULATION
An insulated panel assembly having improved insulative R-value. The insulated panel assembly comprises a cover panel, a first insulation layer, and at least one additional insulation layer, wherein the at least one additional insulation layer has a higher R-value than the first insulation layer. The first insulation layer is secured to the cover panel. The first insulation layer further forms at least one recessed portion. The at least one additional insulation layer is positioned in the at least one recessed portion of the first insulation layer. Examples of the at least one additional insulation layer may include vacuum insulated panels and modified atmosphere insulation panels.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A LAMINATED PACKAGING MATERIAL, THE PACKAGING MATERIAL OBTAINED BY THE METHOD AND PACKAGING CONTAINERS MANUFACTURED THEREFROM
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a laminated cellulose-based liquid or semi-liquid food packaging material, wherein the laminated packaging material has a bulk material layer comprising a low-density cellulose spacer layer, an outside module comprising a substrate layer having a print surface and an inside material module comprising a barrier layer or barrier coating. The invention further relates the laminated packaging materials obtained by the method and to a packaging container for liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material or being made from the laminated packaging material obtained by the method.
SOUNDPROOF STRUCTURE
Provided is a soundproof structure that is small and light and can reduce a noise with a high specific frequency of a sound source at a plurality of frequencies at the same time. The soundproof structure has a membrane-like member, a plate-like member that is disposed to face the membrane-like member and in which at least one through-hole is formed, and a support that is formed of a rigid body and supports the plate-like member and the membrane-like member, in which the membrane-like member is supported by the support so as to perform membrane vibration, in which a rear surface space is provided between the membrane-like member and the plate-like member, in which a first space is provided on a side opposite to the rear surface space with the plate-like member sandwiched therebetween, in which the membrane-like member, the support, the plate-like member, and the rear surface space form a first sound absorbing portion that absorbs a sound by membrane vibration, in which the plate-like member, the support, and the first space form a second sound absorbing portion that absorbs a sound by Helmholtz resonance, and in which assuming that a fundamental frequency of membrane vibration of the membrane-like member in a case where the plate-like member is regarded as a rigid body in which the through-hole is not formed in the first sound absorbing portion is f.sub.m1 and a fundamental frequency of Helmholtz resonance of the second sound absorbing portion is f.sub.h1, f.sub.m1<f.sub.h1 is satisfied.
