SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING AN INTENTIONAL LEAK CHARACTERISTIC CURVE FOR A RESPIRATORY THERAPY SYSTEM

A plurality of flow rate values associated with pressurized air directed to an airway of a user of a respiratory therapy system is received. A plurality of pressure values associated with the pressurized air directed to the airway of the user is received. A first time associated with a first breath of the user and a second time associated with a second breath of the user are identified. The plurality of flow rate values is filtered based at least in part on the identified first time and the identified second time. The filtering produces a subset of the plurality of flow rate values. An intentional leak characteristic curve for the respiratory therapy system is determined using at least two of the subset of the plurality of flow rate values and the corresponding pressure values for said at least two of the subset of the plurality of flow rate values.

AUTOMATIC SYNCHRONIZATION FOR MEDICAL VENTILATION
20230078506 · 2023-03-16 · ·

Systems and methods for automatically improving patient-ventilator synchronization, including a method, performed by a ventilator, for automatic synchrony adjustment in medical ventilation. The method may include delivering positive pressure during a first inhalation phase; cycling to a first exhalation phase at an end of the first inhalation phase according to a cycling sensitivity; and at an end of the first exhalation phase, triggering a second inhalation phase. The method may also include during at least one of the first exhalation phase or the second inhalation phase, detecting a cycling-related asynchrony event; in response to the detecting, automatically adjusting the cycling sensitivity without additional user input; delivering positive pressure during the second inhalation phase; and cycling from the second inhalation phase to a second exhalation phase according to the adjusted cycling sensitivity.

A system and method for monitoring and auditing the patient's health care compliances in order to detect bedside patient's information such as bed sores, oral health care, insertion of invasive devices, patient positions etc. The system employs visual sensors such as lidars, IR cameras etc. for observing the patients. The system also uses machine learning algorithms that use the bedside patient information into pre-trained models so as to monitor, trace and diagnose patient histories by the caretakers.

System and Method for Treating Sleep Apnea, Night-time Hearing Impairment and Tinnitus With Acoustic Neuromodulation

A method and device for treating tinnitus and/or hearing impairment of a user at bedtime includes providing an audio stimulus to the user using a parametric array speaker. Some embodiments treat tinnitus by removing a frequency notch corresponding to the user's tinnitus frequencies from the audio signal. The audio signal may be ambient sound detected by a microphone, or may be a prerecorded file which may comprise noise or other audio such as audiobooks or music. Some embodiments combine treatment of tinnitus or hearing impairment with treatment for apnea, hypopnea or snoring.

Laryngeal mask airway for sedative endoscopy

The present invention provides laryngeal mask airway for sedative endoscopy, including: a laryngeal mask/endoscope guide unit which is positioned in a larynx region inlet through a patient's oral cavity and guides a supply of air to a respiratory tract and insertion of an endoscope into an esophagus; an airway unit which is connected to the laryngeal mask/endoscope guide unit to supply air to the patient's respiratory tract and to allow the patient's breathing state to be visually checked; a mouthpiece unit which is installed outside the airway unit and fixed between the patient's teeth to protect a tube of the airway and an endoscopic probe inserted into the oral cavity; and an indication end which is positioned at a portion of the mouthpiece positioned outside the oral cavity and moves in accordance with the patient's breathing state to allow spontaneous breathing to be checked, such that the patient's safe airway may be ensured, the insertion of the endoscopic probe and the procedure may be smoothly performed, the patient's spontaneous breathing is easily checked even in a dark space, and as a result, the endoscopy may be safely performed.

Flow measuring apparatus and inhalation apparatus comprising the same

The present document describes a flow measuring apparatus for measuring a flow through a section of an inhalation apparatus, comprising at least one set of Pitot tubes first a second Pitot tube and streamlinings extending longitudinally parallel to the Pitot tubes and the set of Pitot tubes is configured for traversing entirely a lumen which define the section of the inhalation apparatus and are respectively fluidly connected to a differential pressure sensor for measuring a difference between a stagnation pressure and a static pressure within the flow measuring apparatus.

The subject matter described herein provides systems and techniques for enhancing a user’s performance. In particular, the physiological characteristics of the user can be altered toward target characteristics to bring about a particular physiological state in the user. Multiple physiological signals of the user may be sensed. Physiological characteristics indicative of a physiological state of the user may be determined. A differential between the physiological characteristics and selected target physiological characteristics may be determined. A selected energy signal associated with a correction action may be communicated to nerves associated with the user’s skin by outputting, using an energy generator, the energy signal toward the skin with one or more different energy types based on the differential. This may allow a particular targeted physiological state to be more rapidly brought about in the user.
