Cellular structures with fourteen-cornered cells
A cellular structure may include a plurality of cells each cell of the plurality of cells having a fourteen-cornered cross section. The fourteen-cornered cross section may include fourteen sides and fourteen corners. Each cell may include a plurality of longitudinal walls extending between a top and a bottom of the cell, the longitudinal walls intersecting to create corners of the cell.
IMPROVED PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure generally relates to adhesive compositions, adhesive articles including the adhesive compositions, methods of making the adhesive compositions and articles, and methods of using the adhesive compositions and articles. The adhesive compositions of the present disclosure include a thermoplastic phenolic resin made from the reaction of (1) alkyl phenol (e.g., butyl- or octyl- or -nonyl) and formaldehyde; or (2) alkyl phenol (e.g., butyl- or octyl-) and acetaldehyde; or (3) alkyl phenol (e.g., butyl- or octyl-) and acetylene. The present disclosure also generally relates to adhesive articles including these adhesive compositions. The inventors of the present disclosure found that such adhesive articles exhibit excellent adhesion to architectural coatings with including low or no VOCs, deep base formulations, and/or formulations including primer in various conditions, including, for example, high humidity.
DOUBLE-SIDED DRAINAGE-PROMOTING WRAP
A drainage-promoting wrap for a building structure includes a weather-resistive membrane having a face with a series of separate, spaced-apart, spacer elements bonded thereto and projecting therefrom to a first predetermined height and an embossed membrane having embossments projecting from a face thereof to a second predetermined height. The weather-resistive membrane and embossed membrane are bonded together to form a double-sided drainage promoting wrap such that the spacer elements project from a first face of the wrap and the embossments project from an opposite face of the wrap. The first predetermined height may be greater than the second predetermined height. Wall and roof assemblies and a method of producing a wrap are also provided.
WRAPAROUND PERIPHERAL DEVICE GRIP
A wraparound peripheral device grip comprising a substantially flat continuous sheet is provided. The grip includes a first side and a second side. The first side is configured to adhere to a grip of a peripheral device and the second side is configured to provide improved gripping to a user of the peripheral device. The substantially flat continuous sheet can be cut to fit a geometry of a particular model of peripheral device, or gaming controller. The wraparound peripheral device grip is capable of being placed onto a peripheral device by wrapping the grip around the factory surfaces of a peripheral device. The gripping friction of the grip can be achieved by disposing abrading particles thereon, such as sandpaper, silicon carbide, or grip tape material. Alternatively, the grip side can be made from an elastomer, such as a synthetic rubber, or other material with the property of viscoelasticity.
PROTECTIVE COVER WITH PRESERVATIVE AGENT
A protective cover for a pole that is typically oriented vertically with a top surface at a top end of the pole and an outer surface that extends down from an outer perimeter of the top surface is provided. The protective cover has a flexible substrate with a central section that engages the top surface of the pole and an outer section that engages the outer surface of the pole. A preservative agent is carried on the central section of the flexible substrate such that the preservative agent engages the top surface of the pole when the cover is installed.
SELF-ADHESIVE FLOOR COVERING AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention relates to a self-adhesive floor covering comprising a base layer, containing a polymer composition, which comprises an elastomer and/or a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein the floor covering has, on a first side of the base layer, an adhesive layer comprising an adhesive for connecting the floor covering to a substrate. The floor covering is characterised in that the adhesive comprises a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer. The invention also relates to a method for producing a self-adhesive floor covering.
Flexible sheet for forming a semi-rigid structure
Techniques and mechanisms to form a semi-rigid structure from a flexible sheet. In an embodiment, a portion of the flexible sheet includes layer portions and one or more compartments each disposed between said layer portions. The one or more compartments each having disposed therein a first fluid compound that is reactivee.g., when exposed to oxygen, heat, ultraviolet (or other) light, or a different fluid compoundto form a solid. In another embodiment, a graphic printed on the flexible sheet indicates a location of the one or more compartments. Activation of the one or more compartments and bending of the flexible sheet portion at the activated one or more compartments aids in the formation of a shelter or other semi-rigid structure.
SILICONE-BASED ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AND ADHESIVE ARTICLES
Adhesive composition including an elastomeric silicone-based copolymer selected from the group consisting of urea-based silicone copolymers, oxamide-based silicone copolymers, amide-based silicone copolymers, urethane-based silicone copolymers and mixtures thereof; and greater than 0% by weight and no more than 20% by weight of MQ resin. In certain embodiments, the adhesive compositions includes less than 10% by weight of MQ resin. In some illustrative embodiments, the adhesive composition is a pressure-sensitive adhesive. In certain illustrative embodiments, the pressure sensitive adhesive is optically clear, self-wetting to the end-use substrate, and stretch releasable. In certain such embodiments, the adhesive article exhibits a 180 PEEL ADHESION to a glass substrate no greater than about 500 N/dm after aging for seven days at 85 C. The pressure sensitive adhesive compositions may be used to form adhesive articles and adhesive assemblies.
ANISOTROPIC TATAMI COVER
An anisotropic tatami cover can provide different hues depending on the angle from which it is viewed, and is therefore highly aesthetically valuable. The anisotropic tatami cover is made of weft yarns made of rush grass or artificial rush grass and warp yarns, is woven in such a manner that the warp yarns are exposed on the surface, and has a color difference E of 6.0 or more between the weft and warp yarns.
FILM BACKINGS FOR PEEL RELEASE MOUNTING
A peelable adhesive article capable of adhering to a substrate wherein subsequent removal of the adhesive does not damage the substrate, and methods of making and using said peelable adhesive article. The adhesive articles comprise a peelable adhesive adjacent to a major surface of a backing, wherein the backing has a modulus of elasticity and/or modulus of secant between 100 to 18,000 psi as measured by ASTM D638-14 and/or ASTM D412-06a. The backing may be a multilayer backing comprising a core layer and at least one skin layer in a ratio of 2:1 to 100:1.
