In some forms, the tabbed sealing members may be considered inverted tabbed sealing members for induction sealing as the induction heating layer is provided in the upper laminate instead of the lower laminate. In this regard, the induction heating layer is positioned further from the heat seal, contrary to conventional tabbed sealing members.

The blowing agent composition includes water, the water being present in an amount of 1 to 20% by weight, based on total weight of the isocyanate-reactive composition and in an amount of at least 90% by weight, based on total weight of the blowing agent composition. The isocyanate-reaction composition has a green content of at least 30% by weight, based on total weight of the isocyanate-reactive composition. Polyurethane foam-forming reaction mixtures, polyurethane foams, multi-layer composite articles and methods for their production are also described.

Tear and heat resistant foams used in packaging, protective packaging bags and related methods are provided. The tear and heat resistant foam can include a nonwoven substrate, a polyethylene film, and a base layer of polyethylene foam joined together by applying at least one of heat or heat and pressure to the top nonwoven substrate, the polyethylene film and the polyethylene foam to heat the first surface of the top nonwoven substrate to a temperature that is above the melting point of polyethylene film but below the melting point of top nonwoven substrate. The temperature of the polyethylene film rises causing the polyethylene film to melt and bind the top nonwoven substrate to the polyethylene foam to form the heat and tear resistant packaging foam.

The present disclosure is directed to dielectric elastomeric composites that include a retainable processing membrane, an elastomer material, and an electrically conductive material. The elastomer layer may be partially imbibed into the retainable processing membrane. The retainable processing membrane may be porous. The retainable processing membrane is compacted in the transverse in direction, machine direction, or in both directions prior to the application of an elastomer material and an electrically conductive material. The compaction of the retainable processing membrane may form structured folds or folded fibrils in the membrane, giving the retainable processing membrane a low modulus and flexibility. In some embodiments, the dielectric composites are positioned in a stacked configuration. Alternatively, the dielectric elastomeric composites may have a wound configuration. The dielectric composites have a total thickness less than about 170 μm. The dielectric elastomeric composites may be used, for example, in dielectric elastomer actuators, sensors, and in energy harvesting.
