Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition, pellets, and multilayer structure
An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition is substantially free from coloration, and contains: (A) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer; (B) a polyamide resin; and (C) an iron compound; wherein the iron compound (C) is present in an amount of 0.01 to 20 ppm on a metal basis based on the weight of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition.
Protective film
A protective film 10 of the present invention includes a base material layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and is used by being attached to a resin substrate 21 at the time of performing heat bending on the resin substrate 21. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer contains a polyolefin having a melting point of lower than 125° C. The base material layer has a first layer which contains a polyolefin having a melting point of 150° C. or higher, and a second layer which contains an adhesive resin. In a case of heating the protective film 100 having such a configuration, in a state of being interposed between two attaching substrates which are formed of polycarbonate, at 145° C. for 30 minutes, peeling off one attaching substrate on the side of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer at 25° C., and then viewing a surface of the one attaching substrate in a plan view, a residual ratio of an area where the pressure sensitive adhesive layer remains is 5% or less.
Modular polyvinyl chloride retroreflective identification system
A multi-layer identification patch includes a reflective background layer comprising a front side to face away from a garment when the multi-layer identification patch is affixed to the garment, and a mask layer secured over the front side of the reflective background layer. The mask layer comprises (a) an opaque layer of flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and (b) a void in the opaque layer of flexible PVC. The void has a shape that forms an identification symbol. The opaque layer of flexible PVC is secured over a first portion of the reflective background layer, thereby fixing the void that forms the identification symbol over a second portion of the reflective background layer, and thereby enabling the second portion of the reflective background layer to reflect light through the void in the shape of the identification symbol. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
METHOD FOR PROTECTING LOW-E GLASS PLATE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING GLASS UNIT, LAMINATE AND PROTECTIVE SHEET FOR LOW-E GLASS PLATE
Provided is a Low-E glass plate protection method capable of preventing or inhibiting Low-E layer alteration. In the protection method, a protective sheet having a substrate and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the substrate is applied for protection via the PSA layer to a Low-E glass plate having a Low-E layer that comprises a zinc component. The method is characterized by using the protective sheet wherein the PSA layer is formed from a water-dispersed PSA composition and includes less than 850 μg ammonia per gram of PSA layer weight.
LAMINATE AND HOT MELT-TYPE ADHESIVE LABEL
Provided is a laminate and a hot melt-type adhesive label that suppress curling due to swelling while having a pulp-paper feel. The laminate includes a porous substrate layer and an adhesive resin receiving layer on one side of the porous substrate layer, and the adhesive resin receiving layer contains an amorphous resin.
CROSSLINKED POLYOLEFIN RESIN FOAM, ADHESIVE TAPE, LAYERED BODY, MOLDING, AND DISPLAY MEMBER
A cross-linked polyolefin resin foam of the present invention has a total light transmittance and a thickness that satisfy a predetermined condition, and has a reflection color difference Δ* of −10 to 16, a reflection color difference Δa* of −3 to 3, and a reflection color difference ΔL* of 50 or more. According to the present invention, there can be provided a cross-linked polyolefin resin foam that can suppress a change in color tone of transmitted light while ensuring transparency, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, layered product, formed product, and display member that include such a cross-linked polyolefin resin foam.
Modular Mat System
A module mat system with first layer that is joined to a second layer by fusion welding, hot welding, hand welding, seam welding, heat pressing, or other methods know to those having skill in the art. Each layer has a central core with a first cellular structure formed from ribs extending from the interior surface. The cross section of the ribs in the central core of the first layer matches the cross section of the ribs in the central core of the second layer such that when fusion welded together the ribs of the central core of the first layer weld to the ribs of the central core of the second layer.
MULTILAYER PULTRUDED STRUCTURE HAVING A CHEMICAL RESISTANT AND WEATHERABLE TOP LAYER
The invention relates to a multilayered pultruded structures having a weatherable cap layer over a pultruded substrate. The cap layer provides improved weatherability, chemical resistance and surface quality for pultruded structures. The cap layer is either an acrylic, vinyl or styrenic cap layer covered with a thin layer blend of polyvinylidene fluoride and acrylic polymers, or a cross-linked acrylic outer layer. A useful cap layer would be a UV resistant acrylic cap layer, such as a Solarkote® resins from Arkema, covered by a co-extruded blend of polyvinylidene fluoride, such as Kynar® resins from Arkema, with an acrylic resin, such as Plexiglas® resins from Arkema. The highly weatherable and chemical resistant pultruded structure is especially useful in window and door profiles.
RESIN COMPOSITION, RESIN COMPOSITION MOLDED BODY, AND POWER CABLE
A resin composition contains propylene, ethylene, and styrene, and has a melting point of 140° C. or more and 150° C. or less, and the enthalpy of fusion of the resin composition is 55 J/g or more and 90 J/g or less.
WEDGE-SHAPED MULTI-LAYER INTERLAYER WITH OUTER SKIN LAYERS OF VARYING THICKNESS
Multiple layer interlayers having enhanced optical and acoustic properties are provided, along with methods of making and using the same. Interlayers as described herein may include at least two outer skin layers and an inner core layer, with one of the outer skin layers having a different thickness than the other at one or more locations along the interlayer. The multi-layer interlayer may also exhibit acoustic properties and, in some cases, may have an overall wedged thickness profile. Additionally, in some aspects, interlayers and laminates formed therefrom may also provide reduced infrared energy transmission, without sacrificing acoustic and/or optical performance.
