COATING FOR REDUCING OIL ABSORBENCY OF CELLULOSIC WEBS
A method for reducing the surface oil absorption of cellulose based substrate is provided, in which a coating composition is applied to said substrate; and in which the coating composition comprises carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and/or a salt of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). A coated paperboard, and a laminate of the coated paperboard with a polymer layer is also provided. The coating composition provides improved surface oil absorption and improved adherence of an overlying polymer layer.
Decorative laminate with matte finish and method of manufacture
A decorative laminate lay-up includes a decorative laminate sheet assembly composed of an exterior overlay paper layer, a decorative layer, and a core layer. The decorative laminate lay-up includes a texture imparting member in the form of a textured release sheet including a top side and a bottom side. The textured release sheet includes a textured matte surface formed on the bottom side thereof and ultimately applied the textured matte surface to a resulting decorative laminate.
Planographic printing plate precursor, planographic printing plate precursor laminate, plate-making method for planographic printing plate, and planographic printing method
Provided are a planographic printing plate precursor including an aluminum support, and an image recording layer and a protective layer which are provided on the aluminum support in this order, in which a thickness of the protective layer is 0.2 μm or greater, and Expression (1) is satisfied in a case where a Bekk smoothness of a surface of an outermost layer on a side opposite to a side where the image recording layer is provided is denoted by b seconds; a planographic printing plate precursor laminate; a plate-making method for a planographic printing plate; and a planographic printing method.
Ovenable package
An ovenable tray composite comprises a polymeric based liner and a fiber based component. The polymeric based liner incorporates polyolefin materials for performance in both adhesion (during use) and separation (for disposal) from the fiber based component, as well as high temperature resistant polymers that allow for the entire tray composite to be ovenable. Packages made from the lined trays described herein can be used for packaging food items intended to be heated for cooking or reheating the contents.
Makeup removal mask
A makeup remover mask includes a first sheet of an absorbent material having a periphery with a concave section; and a second sheet of an absorbent material having a periphery with a convex section. The makeup remover mask is used for removing eye makeup by placing the first sheet of an absorbent material having a periphery with a concave section on a lower eye lid of an eye beneath eyelashes, and placing a second sheet of an absorbent material having a periphery with a convex section on an upper eye lid of an eye, wherein the second sheet covers the eye makeup to be removed.
PAPERBOARD PANEL AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A method for fabricating a sheet structure from paper and/or paperboard material, which provides a thickness dimension ordinarily associated with corrugated paperboard material. The sheet structure is constructed from a first planar linerboard sheet and a second non-planar linerboard sheet, wherein a plurality of projections are cut and folded from the second linerboard sheet and are adhesively coupled to the first linerboard sheet, such that portions of the projections define a standoff between the first and second linerboard sheets.
IMPROVEMENTS TO PACKAGING MATERIAL
The invention relates to the packaging of one or more articles in a packaging sheet material which is moveable from a first condition to a second, expanded, condition to improve the packaging effect of the sheet material. In accordance with the invention the sheet material includes a first portion with apertures which can be moved to an open position to create the second, expanded, condition and at least one, but typically a plurality of spaced apart, second portions which have no apertures, or a different shape and/or pattern of apertures than the apertures of the first portion, so as to form a surface of the said second portion more suitable for the application of a label and/or indications thereon when the sheet material is in the second expanded condition.
REPOSITIONABLE ADHESIVE ARTICLES FOR STRETCH RELEASE REMOVAL
The present disclosure relates to adhesive article that include a first, stretch releasable adhesive and patterned adhesive elements on, within, or partially embedded in a surface of the adhesive. The adhesive elements can act as spacers between the adhesive surface and the mounting surface to prevent full contact and wet out of the first adhesive, whereby the article can be removed from the wall and placed at a new location without damage to the wall surface or the article. Once the final location is selected, the separation created by the engineered elements can be overcome by applying sufficient pressure; the first adhesive can contact and adhere more permanently to the wall. Thus, a stretch releasable adhesive articles of the present disclosure can move freely relative to the desired mounting surface, while developing additional tack and holding power after sufficient pressure is applied.
Recyclable liner for label assembly
In accordance with the present application, there is provided a release liner and method of preparing a liner for a label assembly. The release liner includes paper having a first side that does not have a machine finish or gloss finish or a coating; and a silicone treatment applied to the first side of the paper. The method of preparing a liner for a label assembly includes applying a coat of silicone to a paper at a side of the paper that does not have a machine finish or gloss finish and is otherwise uncoated; and curing the silicone. The release liner includes paper having a silicone coat weight of 0.5 lb/ream or less.
Multi-layered product having an embossed interior layer and a method for making the product
A multi-layered product having an embossed interior layer is disclosed along with a method of making the product. The multi-layered product has a first layer with an interior surface, a second layer with an interior surface, and a third layer sandwiched between the first and second layers. The third layer has a first surface and a second surface, and has a thickness there between. The third layer is embossed into a waffle pattern having a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of recesses. Each of the plurality of protrusions and recesses is adjacently aligned and horizontally offset from one another. The plurality of protrusions form a horizontal plane, at the first surface, which is positioned above a horizontal plane formed by the plurality of recesses, at the first surface. The product also has an adhesive which secures the three layers together.
