LAMINATING SYSTEM
A laminating system sandwiches a sheet medium in a two-ply sheet in which two sheets are overlapped and partially joined together and applies heat and pressure to bond the two-ply sheet. The laminating system includes a sheet separating device, a laminate-fixing device, and a conveyor. The sheet separating device separates the two sheets of the two-ply sheet and sandwiches the sheet medium between the two sheets. The laminate-fixing device heats and presses the two-ply sheet sandwiching the sheet medium. The conveyor conveys the two-ply sheet sandwiching the sheet medium from the sheet separating device to the laminate-fixing device. The laminate-fixing device is disposed above the sheet separating device.
SHEET SEPARATION DEVICE AND LAMINATING SYSTEM
A sheet separation device for separating two sheets of a two-ply sheet, in which the two sheets are overlapped and a part of the two sheets are joined, and inserting at least one sheet medium between the two sheets includes an upper surface, an ejection tray, and a conveyor. A lamination fixing device that laminates the two-ply sheet including the at least one sheet medium inserted between the two sheets is to be mounted on the upper surface. The ejection tray is disposed on the upper surface. The two-ply sheet laminated and ejected from an ejection port of the lamination fixing device is to be stacked on the ejection tray. The conveyor is coupled to the lamination fixing device to convey the two-ply sheet including the at least one sheet medium from the sheet separation device to the lamination fixing device.
Film cartridge, film unit, and layer transfer device
Provided are a film cartridge, a film unit, and a layer transfer device capable of restraining a supported layer including a transfer layer from being touched by an operator and restraining the supported layer remaining on the supporting layer remaining on a supporting layer from coming off. A film cartridge includes a supply reel on which a multilayer film including a supported layer with a transfer layer included therein and a supporting layer is wound, and a take-up reel on which to take up the multilayer film. The multilayer film is wound on a supply shaft in such a manner that the supported layer is in contact with the supply shaft, and the multilayer film is wound on the take-up shaft in such a manner that the supported layer is in contact with the take-up shaft.
LAMINATOR WITH ANTI-WRAP COMPONENTS, HEAT CORE, AND USER INTERFACE
Disclosed herein is an improved laminator for processing and laminating sheets of material. The disclosed laminator includes anti-jamming or anti-wrap components to prevent sheets of material from wrapping around rollers in the machine. The anti-wrap components may include wires positioned in self-healing grooves in the rollers of the machine. The machine may also include a heat core to provide heating to a plurality of sets of rollers. The laminator may also include a user interface to provide an operator with status information and emote to encourage the operator to interact with the machine in an efficient manner. The laminator may also include sensors, controller, and display to recognize a cleaning sheet and inform an operator of the status of the cleaning cycle.
Sheet laminator and image forming system incorporating the sheet laminator
A sheet laminator includes a thermal fixing roller pair, a first heater, a second heater, multiple temperature detectors, and a driver. The thermal fixing roller pair includes a first thermal fixing roller and a second thermal fixing roller facing the first thermal fixing roller. The thermal fixing roller pair thermally fixes and conveys a two-ply sheet and a sheet medium nipped between two sheets of the two-ply sheet. The first heater heats the first thermal fixing roller. The second heater heats the second thermal fixing roller. The multiple temperature detectors are at different positions along an axial direction of the thermal fixing roller pair. The multiple temperature detectors detect a surface temperature of the thermal fixing roller pair. The driver drives the thermal fixing roller pair.

Provided are a film cartridge, a film unit, and a layer transfer device capable of restraining a supported layer including a transfer layer from being touched by an operator and restraining the supported layer remaining on the supporting layer remaining on a supporting layer from coming off. A film cartridge includes a supply reel on which a multilayer film including a supported layer with a transfer layer included therein and a supporting layer is wound, and a take-up reel on which to take up the multilayer film. The multilayer film is wound on a supply shaft in such a manner that the supported layer is in contact with the supply shaft, and the multilayer film is wound on the take-up shaft in such a manner that the supported layer is in contact with the take-up shaft.

The present invention discloses a preheating-free laminator for improving the quality of lamination, comprising a body, a rubber roller set arranged inside the body, and a heating component arranged close to the rubber roller set; a lamination inlet is arranged on the front side of the body; a rubber feeding and pushing component is arranged at the lamination inlet, and the rubber feeding and pushing component and the rubber roller set are coordinated to push the laminated substance successively according to the feeding direction; wherein, the linear speed of the rubber feeding and pushing component is lower than that of the rubber roller set, and the static friction between the rubber roller set and the laminated substance is greater than that between the rubber feeding and pushing component and the laminated substance; when the laminated substance enters the rubber roller set through the rubber feeding and pushing component, there is a static friction fit between the rubber roller set and the laminated substance, and at the same time a sliding friction fit between the rubber feeding and pushing component and the laminated substance, to avoid the laminated substance directly inserted into the rubber roller set, and the plastic sealing treatment is carried out in a tensioned state to improve the quality of lamination.
SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE, SHEET LAMINATOR, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing device includes a rotator, a first nipper, a conveyor, a second nipper, a detector, a memory, and circuitry. The rotator winds a two-ply sheet around the rotator to generate a winding circumferential difference between two sheets of the two-ply sheet to separate the two sheets. The detector detects an abnormal condition, in which a gap greater than a given interval is not formed between the two sheets around the rotator. The memory stores a detection result as the abnormal condition. The circuitry is to increase a nipping force of the second nipper with the rotator, and increase the nipping force in a present sheet processing to be greater than a previous nipping force of the second nipper in a previous sheet processing, when the memory stores the detection of the abnormal condition in the previous sheet processing, to wind the two sheets around the rotator.
HIGH-SPEED IN-LINE COLD LAMINATING UNIT
A high-speed, cold laminating system includes a lamination unit for inline use connected with a paper feeder supplying at least 30 ppm. The lamination unit further includes a set of unheated motor-driven laminating pressure rollers along a laminating path, and a cutter between the rollers and an exit. A diverter gate passes the paper sheets to the laminating path or to the exit without passing along the laminating path. The system includes a controller to control the motor, the diverter gate, and functions of the lamination unit. The controller is programmed to control the motor to pause the pressure rollers with a leading sheet therein while a subsequent sheet moves toward the pressure rollers so a laminated spacing distance between a trailing edge of the leading sheet and a leading edge of the subsequent sheet to equal a prescribed spacing distance.
Method for hot laminating of sheets as well as laminating foil and laminating device for performing the method
The invention relates to a laminating foil having an initial roughness on at least one side, which makes the laminating foil matte, wherein the laminating foil has a marking configured as a surface pattern with surface portions on the matte side or at least on one of the matte sides, wherein the roughness of the surface portions is different from the initial roughness. The invention furthermore relates to a laminating foil set comprising the laminating foils, a method for hot laminating sheet material using such laminating foils, a laminating unit for using the laminating foil, and eventually a laminating system including the laminating unit and the laminating foils.
