COMPOSITE TEXTILES AND ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR FORMED THEREFROM
The present disclosure provides for composite textiles that can include a coating layer that is compatible with textiles such as those comprising polyolefins. The coating layer, as well as the precursor coating layer composition, the coating mixture, or resin composition used to form the coating layer, include a mixture of a polyolefin resin and a thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV). It is believed that the use of the coating layer in the disclosed composite textiles can promote better bonding between other components or materials used in articles, such as articles of footwear or articles of clothing, while resisting or preventing creasing and bagging. This allows the use of cost-effective materials such as polyolefins in the composite textiles that have adequate physical and mechanical properties, while also having sufficient chemical bonding properties.
Reactive hot melt adhesive composition and use thereof
The present invention relates to a reactive hot melt adhesive composition, a polyurethane prepolymer composition, and cured reaction product thereof having a high mechanical strength and an excellent bonding strength as well as a better reworkability. In particular, the present invention relates to a reactive hot melt adhesive composition comprising: 10% to 24% by weight of a polyisocyanate, 40% to 73% by weight of a first polyol having a number average molecular weight larger than 1,500 g/mol, 1% to 25% by weight of a (meth)acrylate polymer having a number average molecular weight of 20,000 to 80,000 g/mol, and 1% to 15% by weight of a diluent, in which the weight percentages are based on the total weight of all components of the composition.

An electrical steel strip or sheet with a thermosetting water-based hot-melt adhesive varnish layer provided on at least one of its flat sides, a method for producing such an electrical steel strip or sheet, and a laminated core made therefrom are disclosed. In order to produce a particularly storable and aging-stable thermosetting hot-melt adhesive varnish layer on the electrical steel strip or sheet in the B state, it is proposed for the stoichiometric ratio of the epoxy groups of the epoxy resin or epoxy resins relative to the hydrogen atoms of the at least two amino groups of the hardener that is latent at room temperature to lie in the range from 1.33:1 to 5:1.

A method for non-contact adhesive activation and securement of a decorative skin to a part, including: applying an adhesive to a top surface of the part; applying the decorative skin to the adhesive after it have been applied to the top surface of the part; locating an upper heating element or elements of an upper heating plate or platen adjacent to the top surface of the part; locating a lower heating element or elements of a lower heating plate or platen adjacent to a bottom surface of the part, the bottom surface of the part being opposite to the top surface of the part; activating an adhesive located on the top surface of the part via the upper heating element or elements of the upper heating plate or platen and the lower heating element or elements of the lower heating plate or platen when the upper heating element or elements and the lower heating element or elements are adjacent to the part, wherein the upper heating plate or platen and the lower heating plate or platen do not contact the part and the decorative skin; heating the decorative skin during the activating step without contacting the decorative skin with the upper heating plate or platen and the lower heating plate or platen; moving the upper heating plate or platen and the lower heating plate or platen away from the part after the activating step; and applying pressure to the decorative skin located on the top surface as well as the portion of the bottom surface of the part via an upper plate and a lower plate, wherein portions of the part on the top surface have a curved surface that is covered by the decorative skin, the curved surface being defined by a radius of curvature that is less greater than 0 and less than 25 mm.

The pieces are placed, for example, with a pick and place machine, adjacent to each other on a carrier veil with fibres of adjacent of the pieces in substantial alignment. The pieces are attached to the carrier veil to form the material, the material including the pieces and the carrier veil.
CURABLE COMPOSITIONS
The present invention is directed to a curable composition including: an isocyanate-functional prepolymer; an epoxy-containing component present in an amount of at least 10 percent by weight of the composition; and a latent curing agent having an ability to react with at least one of the isocyanate-functional prepolymer and the epoxy-containing component upon exposure to an external energy source. The present invention is also directed to methods of making the compositions, methods of coating a substrate, methods of adhering substrates and coated substrates.

AN ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND USE THEREOF FOR BONDING OF PLASTIC FOAM PLATES
A hot-melt adhesive composition, which can be used for bonding of expanded polystyrene foam plates and expanded extruded polystyrene foam plates. The adhesive composition includes at least one at 25° C. solid poly-α-olefin, at least one tackifying resin, and at least one organic phosphorus-containing compound.
