Fiber reinforced metal composite and application thereof
A fiber reinforced metal composite having a metal layer and a fiber layer which are arranged in a stack, and adjacent layers are fixed by bonding; the composite has a two-layered or three-layered structure, wherein one layer is closely adhered to another layer and the thickness of the layer is from 0.6 mm˜0.9 mm. Such structure changes the structure of the existing fiber metal composite characterized by generally having more than three layers, and greatly reduces the thickness of the composite while maintaining good mechanical properties. Also disclosed is an application of fiber reinforced metal composite in the field of luggage case manufacturing, providing two preparation methods for providing fiber reinforced metal case shell with simple and available operations.
RADIATIVE COOLING METAL PLATE, PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a radiative cooling metal plate, a preparation method and application thereof. The radiative cooling metal plate includes a metal substrate, a first adhesive layer and a radiative cooling functional layer stacked in order, the radiative cooling functional layer is located on a surface of the metal substrate, the first adhesive layer is arranged between the metal substrate and the radiative cooling functional layer, and an elongation at break of the radiative cooling functional layer is in a range of 1% to 300%. The radiative cooling functional layer can have sufficient ductility, and can have sufficient deformation to cope with the bending of the radiative cooling functional layer during pressing, such that the radiative cooling functional layer will not be damaged or broken, thereby ensuring the structural integrity of the radiative cooling functional layer and great radiative cooling effect of the metal substrate.
Method of making thermoplastic composite structures and prepreg tape used therein
A thermoplastic composite structure is produced by consolidating and forming a composite preform to a desired shape. The preform comprises plies of a high melt temperature thermoplastic prepreg that are tacked together by a low melt temperature thermoplastic adhering the plies together in fixed registration.
Dispersible adhesively bonded tissue laminate
Disclosed is a dispersible adhesively bonded wet tissue laminate and more particularly a dispersible wet wipe comprising two or more adhesively bonded tissue plies. Generally, the wipe comprises first, and second tissue plies adhesively bonded to one another by an adhesive, particularly a triggerable binder, disposed at the interface of the plies. The first and second tissue plies preferably comprise fibrous tissue plies and more preferably wet-laid tissue plies consisting essentially of conventional papermaking fibers. The adhesively bonded laminates are generally strong enough to withstand use, such as having a geometric mean wet tensile strength (GMWT) greater than about 250 g/in, but disperse quickly in water, such as having a Slosh Time less than about 60 minutes.
Method and apparatus for making disposable absorbent article with absorbent particulate polymer material and article made therewith
A method for making a disposable absorbent core comprises depositing absorbent particulate polymer material from a plurality of reservoirs in a printing roll onto a substrate disposed on a grid of a support which includes a plurality of cross bars extending substantially parallel to and spaced from one another so as to form channels extending between the plurality of cross bars. The plurality of reservoirs in the first peripheral surface are arranged in an array comprising rows extending substantially parallel to and spaced from one another. A disposable absorbent article and apparatus for making an absorbent article are also disclosed.
High temperature debondable adhesive
A debondable adhesive composition comprising (A) the hydrosilation reaction product of the reaction between the vinyl groups on 1,3,5,7-tetravinyl-1,3,5,7-tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane and the terminal Si—H hydrogens on a silane or siloxane having terminal Si—H hydrogens, (B) a cross-linker for the hydrosilation reaction product, and (C) a metal catalyst and/or a radical initiator is provided.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING CREEP PERFORMANCE IN ELASTIC APPLICATIONS
A method and system of using a polyolefin-based, hot melt adhesive improves creep performance of elastic strands adhered to another substrate. Some deflection, greater than 1°, of the exit angle formed by a line normal to the axis of a neutrally-positioned applicator and the elastic strand extending from the applicator is introduced. Preferably, deflection of the entrance angle is also introduced and a head tilt angle is also provided. The use of deflection improves creep performance or allows for a reduced amount of adhesive to be used to achieve the same or similar creep performance. The elastic strands may be used to form a leg cuff in personal care products, such as diapers, and the substrate to which they are applied could be a polyethylene film or non-woven materials.
METHOD FOR FORMING A PANEL, PARTICULARLY SKIN FOR A HOLLOW CORE DOOR, AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A HOLLOW CORE DOOR
This invention relates to a method for forming a panel or skin for a hollow core door, a method of manufacturing a said door, a hollow core door, a panel, and an apparatus for forming a panel and skin for a hollow core door. The method comprises providing a substrate comprising a patterned groove therein; applying a laminating material on the substrate with an adhesive. The method then comprises sealing the substrate with the laminating material thereon in a chamber and providing at least one deformable membrane adjacent the laminating material; removing air from the chamber wherein under vacuum, the deformable membrane deforms into the groove thereby urging the laminating material into the groove; heating the laminating material to facilitate bonding thereof to the substrate; and allowing the substrate with the laminating material thereon to cool so as to form a panel with the laminating material bonded thereto.
REFORMABLE EPOXY RESIN FOR COMPOSITES AND METHODS THEREOF
The present invention contemplates a method for forming a composite structure including a plurality of rigid layers and one or more reformable epoxy resin layers. The resulting composite is molded to form a non-planar composite structure.
