METHOD OF PRODUCING A PLANT GROWTH SUBSTRATE
The present invention relates to a method of producing a coherent growth substrate product formed of man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF), comprising the steps of (vi) providing MMVF; (vii) providing an uncured binder composition; (viii) providing a superabsorbent polymer; (ix) forming a mixture of the MMVF, the uncured binder composition and the superabsorbent polymer; (x) curing the uncured binder composition in the mixture to form the coherent growth substrate product; wherein the uncured binder composition comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
METHOD FOR BONDING RUBBER AND ADHESIVE FOR BONDING RUBBER
The invention relates to a high-strength and permanently elastic curable adhesive for bonding at least two surfaces, of which at least one surface is a surface of a permanently elastic plastic, wherein the adhesive is an adhesive that cures in at least two different hardening mechanisms, wherein the first hardening mechanism comprises a chemical reaction to form a chemical bond including a sulphur atom, and the second hardening mechanism comprises the formation of crystalline structures from amorphous polymers. The invention also relates to a method for high-strength and permanently elastic bonding of at least two surfaces to one another, of which at least one surface is that of a permanently elastic plastic, by means of such an adhesive, said method comprising the steps of: applying the adhesive to at least a first of the surfaces to be connected, ensuring conditions under which at least the first hardening mechanism of the adhesive can take place, bringing the first surface into contact with the second surface, and ensuring conditions under which the second hardening mechanism of the adhesive can take place.

An electromagnetic wave shielding wallpaper is described. The wallpaper includes a conductive layer having a base material and a conductive material, and an adhesive layer. The wallpaper may include a protective layer disposed on a first side of the conductive layer, a fire retardant layer disposed on a second side of the conductive layer, and the adhesive layer disposed on the fire retardant layer.

Glued arrangement
A glued arrangement, preferably for a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The glued arrangement includes a first component, a second component, and at least one adhesive layer for connecting the two components. The adhesive layer includes a central zone and an edge zone that surrounds the central zone where, in the hardened state, the adhesive in the edge zone has a higher elasticity than the adhesive in the central zone.
TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS BASED ON PHOSPHATE ESTER MODIFIED ISOCYANATES, AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
The disclosed adhesive compositions comprise (A) an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer that is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and an isocyanate-reactive mixture comprising a phosphate ester polyol. The disclosed adhesive compositions further comprise (B) an isocyanate-reactive component polyol component comprising a polyol. In some embodiments, methods for preparing two-component adhesives formulations are disclosed comprising preparing an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer by reacting a polyisocyanate with an isocyanate-reactive mixture comprising a phosphate ester polyol and preparing an isocyanate-reactive component comprising a polyol. The methods further comprise mixing the isocyanate component and the isocyanate-reactive component at a stoichiometric ratio (NCO/OH) of from about 1.0 to about 5.0. Methods for forming laminate structures, and the laminate structures themselves, are also disclosed.
COMPOSITIONS, METHOD OF BONDING, AND ASSEMBLY
A two-part curable composition comprises a Part A and a Part B. The Part A composition includes polyuretdione having an average uretdione ring functionality of at least 1.2. Part B composition includes polythiol having an average sulfhydryl group functionality of at least 1.2. At least one of the Part A composition and the Part B composition may further comprise accelerator for addition of the polythiol to the polyuretdione. The accelerator comprises a basic salt having the formula M+Zbx y wherein M+ is a cation having a single positive charge a, wherein a is 1, 2, or 3; Zb is an oxide anion having a negative charge b, wherein b is 1 or 2; and x and y are positive integers, wherein x equals y times b. Cured compositions, methods of making them and articles including them are also disclosed.
TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed are two-component polyurethane adhesive composition which include (a) an isocyanate component comprising a prepolymer which is a reaction product of one or more isocyanate compounds comprising a polyisocyanate and one or more isocyanate-reactive components comprising one or more hydrophobic polyols selected from the group consisting of poly(butylene oxide)polyol, a polybutadiene polyol, an acrylic polyol and mixtures thereof, wherein the one or more hydrophobic polyols have a functionality from 1.6 to 3.5 and a number average molecular weight from 500 g/mol to 10,000 g/mol; and (b) one or more polyol chain extenders; wherein the two-component polyurethane adhesive composition has a hydrophobic content of at least 10 wt. %.
COMPOSITIONS, METHOD OF BONDING, AND BONDED ASSEMBLY
A two-part curable composition comprises a Part A and a Part B. Part A composition includes uretdione-containing compound having an average uretdione ring functionality of at least 1.2. Part B composition includes polythiol having an average sulfhydryl group functionality of at least 2. At least one of the Part A composition and the Part B composition may further comprise accelerator for addition of the polythiol to the uretdione-containing compound. The accelerator comprises a nonacidic amine curative. The amine curative does not comprise a substituted or unsubstituted amidine group. Cured compositions, methods of making them and articles including them are also disclosed. A two-part composition without accelerator is disclosed wherein the uretdione-containing compound has at least one pendant CH.sub.2NR.sup.4.sub.2 groups, wherein each R.sup.4 independently represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or two R.sup.4 groups taken together form an alkylene group having from 2 to 8 carbon atoms.
