TAC Primer Coating with Improved Adhesion
An enhanced primer formulation that may be used in a variety of lens and film laminate applications is disclosed herein. The enhanced primer formulation may be used to enhance adhesion between a film or laminate and a polymerizable or polymerized material.
LAMINATE MATERIAL FOR REINFORCEMENT, REINFORCING METHOD, AND REINFORCING STRUCTURAL BODY FOR STRUCTURE
A laminate material for reinforcement is provided that can reduce on-site work steps and facilitate quality control of a resin to be used to achieve improvement in work efficiency, and that can suppress debonding of a reinforcing member to obtain a high reinforcing effect. A laminate material for reinforcement 10 bonded to and integrated with a surface to be reinforced of a structure 100 to reinforce the structure has a fiber-reinforced composite member 11, a high-elongation elastic resin layer 12 formed on a surface on a bonding side to the structure of the fiber reinforced composite member 11, and an intermediate resin layer 13 disposed between the fiber-reinforced composite member 11 and the high-elongation elastic resin layer 12.
Method of producing a mineral wool product comprising a multiple of lamellae and a product of such kind
A method and a mineral wool product include a multiple of lamellae, such as a sandwich panel core. The product includes a plurality of lamellae cut from a mineral wool web, and bonded together by applying an adhesive on the surfaces of two adjacent lamellae to form a web-like product, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
LAMINATION APPARATUS AND LAMINATION METHOD
According to the lamination apparatus and the lamination method, a fast-curing adhesive can be used and which can improve die quality of a composite film and enables application of a low-viscosity coating liquid. The lamination apparatus 1 includes a first coating unit 12 that applies, as a coating liquid, one of a main agent and a curing agent of a two-component curable adhesive to a first web W1; a second coating unit 14 that applies, as a coating liquid, the other one of the mam agent and the coating agent of the two-component curable adhesive to a second web W2, the other one being the one not applied to the first web W1; and a bonding unit 151 that bonds a coating liquid-applied surface of the first web W1 and a coating liquid-applied surface of the second web together. The second coating unit 14 is a gravure coating machine.
BINDER COMPOSITION
The invention relates to an aqueous binder composition for mineral fibers comprising at least one polyelectrolytic hydrocolloid.
Thermal transfer sheet, method for producing decorated article and decorated article
A thermal transfer sheet includes a support film and a transfer layer provided on one surface of the support film. The transfer layer at least includes a decorative layer and an adhesive layer provided on an obverse side of the decorative layer. The adhesive layer includes a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer laminated on the first adhesive layer. The first adhesive layer is positioned on an obverse side of the second adhesive layer. The first adhesive layer is made of a first resin having thermal plasticity and has a lower viscosity than the second adhesive layer. The second adhesive layer is made of a second resin having thermal plasticity and has a higher glass-transition point than the first adhesive layer. Monomer units constituting the first resin and monomer units constituting the second resin are partly or entirely identical.
METHOD OF PROVIDING INSULATION TO A STRUCTURE
The present invention relates to a method of providing thermal and/or acoustic insulation to a structure, comprising the steps of: providing a substrate which comprises fibres; applying the substrate to the structure; blending the substrate with a binder composition before, during or after application of the substrate to the structure; allowing curing of the binder composition after the substrate and the binder composition have been applied to the structure; wherein the binder composition comprises at least one hydrocolloid. The present invention also relates to an insulated structure obtainable by said method.
BINDER COMPOSITION
The invention relates to an aqueous binder composition for mineral fibers comprising at least one hydrocolloid.
STRUCTURE SHIELDING WALLPAPER
An electromagnetic wave shielding wallpaper is described. The wallpaper includes a conductive layer having a base material and a conductive material, and an adhesive layer. The wallpaper may include a protective layer disposed on a first side of the conductive layer, a fire retardant layer disposed on a second side of the conductive layer, and the adhesive layer disposed on the fire retardant layer.
Rivet bonding workpiece stack-ups having one or more polymer composite workpieces
A method of rivet bonding a workpiece stack-up that includes one or more polymer composite workpieces, such as carbon fiber composite workpieces, involves several steps. In one step, adhesive is applied to a surface of the workpiece stack-up. In another step, workpiecesincluding the polymer composite workpiece(s)are brought together. In yet another step the adhesive is partially or more cured. A rivet is installed through the workpiece stack-up and through the adhesive in another step. The method strengthens the resulting rivet-bonded joint by minimizing or altogether precluding fracture, cracking, and/or delamination thereat.
