SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LAMINATING CAN END STOCK
Improved aluminum can end stock (CES) is disclosed. The CES includes an adhered polymer coating exhibiting low feathering and high performance in various acid tests. The low feathering and resistance to acid tests is accomplished by incorporating a copolymer adhesion promoter film to an aluminum alloy before lamination. In some cases, the metal strip is pretreated with a conversion layer, which can include compounds of trivalent chromium (Cr(III)) and phosphates or titanium and zirconium.
LABEL WITH ADHESIVE AND SILICONE-FREE RELEASE COATING
A label having a silicone-free (water-based) release coating and compatible adhesive patch is provided. The label includes a thermally coated substrate having a silicone-free substrate overlaid thereon of a first surface. A second surface includes a microsphere adhesive layer.
Method for sealing a water-soluble film by applying a sealing solution
Disclosed herein are sealing solutions for sealing water-soluble films, in particular aqueous mixtures including one or more polymeric solvents such as polyols. Aqueous sealing solutions including a relatively dilute solvent for one or more polymeric components of the water-soluble film (e.g., water-soluble polymeric components thereof, such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH)) can exhibit one or more benefits, including a reduction in dissolution of the film by the sealing solution and an increase in seal strength. Also disclosed are sealed articles formed with the sealing solutions, for example water-soluble packets containing various liquid or solid compositions.
Dry fibrous tape for manufacturing preform
A dry, fibrous tape for use in an automated placement process such as ATL or AFP and a preform produced therefrom. The preform is configured for resin infusion. The tape contains a layer of unidirectional fibers, at least one nonwoven veil bonded to one side of the fiber layer, and at least binding materials present within the tape. The preform produced from laying down such tape exhibits a low-bulk property that is close to the final thickness of the cured fiber-reinforced resin article and no further consolidation or compaction is required.
Method for Applyling Intumescent Mesh Coating
The present disclosure relates to intumescent fireproofing coatings and methods to apply these coatings. In particular, the disclosure relates to epoxy-based intumescent fireproofing coatings and methods of applying these coating having a mesh reinforcement.
UNCURED INSULATION ARTICLES COMPRISING CORROSION INHIBITORS AND METHODS OF PRODUCING THE SAME
The present disclosure generally relates to insulation articles including corrosion inhibitors and methods of producing the same are disclosed. In some embodiments, an article of manufacture comprising an insulation mat comprising an uncured combination of a plurality of randomly oriented fibers and a binder is provided. In further embodiments, the insulation mat extends between a first surface and a second surface, and a veil attached to the first surface and structured to inhibit physical movement of the cured combination through the veil is provided, as well as a metal sheet attached to the second surface by a water-containing adhesive contacting the metal sheet and the second surface, and a corrosion inhibitor composition deposited on the cured combination of the insulation mat, wherein the corrosion inhibitor composition is capable of modifying toward neutral a pH of the cured combination in contact with water from the water-containing adhesive.
Imprint template, preparation method thereof and imprint method
The present disclosure provides an imprint template, including: a base substrate, a pattern layer for imprinting and a planarization layer; wherein the planarization layer is located on a surface of the pattern layer facing away from the base substrate, and a surface of the planarization layer facing away from the base substrate is a plane; and the planarization layer and the pattern layer are configured such that under a specific film removing process, the planarization layer is removed while the pattern layer remains. The present disclosure further provides a preparation method of an imprint template, and an imprint method.
Sprayable Water-Based Adhesive
Water-based adhesive compositions are improved by the incorporation of hollow polymeric microspheres having outer surfaces coated with one or more barrier materials such as calcium carbonate particles. The adhesive compositions exhibit enhanced rheology, sprayability, drying time, tack and storage stability as compared to analogous adhesives that are not modified with coated hollow polymeric microspheres. Such compositions are useful as both contact adhesives as well as wet bonding one-way adhesives.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A LAMINATED PACKAGING MATERIAL, THE PACKAGING MATERIAL OBTAINED BY THE METHOD AND PACKAGING CONTAINERS MANUFACTURED THEREFROM
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a laminated cellulose-based liquid or semi-liquid food packaging material, wherein the laminated packaging material has a bulk material layer comprising a low-density cellulose spacer layer, an outside module comprising a substrate layer having a print surface and an inside material module comprising a barrier layer or barrier coating. The invention further relates the laminated packaging materials obtained by the method and to a packaging container for liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material or being made from the laminated packaging material obtained by the method.
