METHOD OF PRODUCING A VENEERED ELEMENT
A method of producing a veneered element, including providing a substrate, applying a sub-layer on a surface of the substrate, applying a veneer layer on the sub-layer, and applying pressure to the veneer layer and/or the substrate, such that at least a portion of the sub-layer permeates through the veneer layer. Also, such a veneered element.
POLYURETHANE WITH (2-OXO-1,3-DIOXOLANE-4-CARBOXYLATE) END GROUPS
The present invention relates to a polyurethane (PP2) comprising at least two, preferably two or three, end functional groups T of following formula (I):
##STR00001##
The present invention also relates to the uses of the polyurethanes (PP2) for the preparation of multicomponent systems.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FACING FOR A BOARD PRODUCT WITH STRATEGICALLY PLACED SCORES
A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have a pre-scored facing in addition to a medium (sometimes called fluting). Conventional corrugated board may feature a cross-corrugated medium and one or more facing that have no score lines that are impressed (at least prior to assembly with the corrugated medium). Such a conventional board product may be inferior because any score lines that are impressed will damage the underlying corrugated medium in some manner. A breakdown in the strength of the underlying medium leads to poor precision when the eventual board product is scored, cut, and folded. A lack of precision in folding a board product leads to gap variation and fishtailing as any articulated portion of the board product may not maintain a precise plane of articulation when folded.
VENEERED ELEMENT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SUCH A VENEERED ELEMENT
A veneered element, including a substrate, a wood veneer layer having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface being opposite to the second surface, an adhesive layer adapted to adhere the first surface of the wood veneer layer to a surface of the substrate, wherein adhesive from the adhesive layer is present in a first portion of the wood veneer layer, extending from the first surface of the wood veneer layer into the wood veneer layer, and wherein the second surface of the wood veneer layer is substantially free from adhesive from the adhesive layer. Also, a method of producing such a veneered element).
Ignition coil and method of assembly
An ignition coil for delivering a spark-generating current to a spark plug includes a magnetically-permeable core; a primary winding disposed outward of the core; and a secondary winding disposed outward of the primary winding and inductively coupled to the primary winding. The secondary winding terminates at one end thereof in a low-voltage end and terminates at another end thereof in a high-voltage end. At least one of the low-voltage end of the secondary winding and the high-voltage end of the secondary winding is electrically connected directly to a terminal through an electrically conductive polymer.
DISPLAY DEVICE, LAMINATION DEVICE, AND LAMINATION METHOD OF LAMINATION DEVICE
A display device in which a curved area having a curved shape and a straight area having a planar shape are defined includes a display panel including a first curved portion overlapping the curved area and a first straight portion overlapping the straight area, a window disposed on the display panel and including a second curved portion overlapping the curved area and a second straight portion overlapping the straight area, and an adhesive layer disposed between the display panel and the window. The adhesive layer includes a first adhesive layer disposed between the first and second straight portions and couples the first straight portion to the second straight portion, and a second adhesive layer disposed in a first space between the first curved portion and the second curved portion and a second space between the first adhesive layer and the second straight portion.
METHODS OF FORMING STRUCTURES FOR DOWNHOLE APPLICATIONS
A method of forming a structure for a downhole application comprises forming an interfacial material comprising at least one of self-reinforced polyphenylene, polyphenylene sulfide, polysulfone, and polyphenylsulfone between opposing surfaces of a first substrate and a second substrate. A downhole structure and a downhole assembly are also described.
Photocurable adhesive composition
Provided is a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal panel employing a photocurable adhesive composition which causes no damage to adherends during bonding and which, when used in bonding rugged adherends, can bond the adherends without forming a gap therebetween. The photocurable adhesive composition of the inventive method comprises (A) 100 parts by mass of a urethane (meth)acrylate oligomer having a weight-average molecular weight of 20,000 to 100,000, (B) 5 parts to 70 parts by mass of a phenoxy resin, and (C) 0.1 parts to 10 parts by mass of a photopolymerization initiator. The uncured composition has a loss tangent (loss modulus/storage modulus) of less than 1 at 25° C. and the temperature at which the loss tangent of the uncured composition reaches 1 or more is 80° C. or less.
Bonding device and method for producing plate-shaped bonded assembly
A bonding device for charging a liquid material into a space between plate-shaped members for bonding them together in situ, in which the liquid material may be prevented from exuding from the space between the plate-shaped members. The bonding device includes pair retaining base members for retaining the pair plate-shaped members facing each other, and a retaining base member movement unit for causing movement of the retaining base members towards and away from each other. The bonding device also includes an illumination unit that illuminates curing light to a photo-curable liquid material charged between the pair plate-shaped members held by the pair retaining base members, and a sensor that detects the wetting spreading state of the liquid material charged between the pair plate-shaped members.
Bonding composition comprising a sulfur impregnated particulate solid
There is provide a curable composition comprising a) one or more reactive components that cure upon exposure to suitable conditions, and b) a sulfur impregnated particulate solid which acts as a release agent for sulfur during the cure process; and c) optionally a solvent.
