SOUND INSULATING SHEET MATERIAL WITH A CELLULAR STRUCTURE INCLUDING GELATINE AND/OR A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A composition for producing a sheet material with a cellular structure, the composition including the following components: (a) about 5 to about 25 weight % gelatine, (b) about 25 to 60 weight % filler material, (c) about 15 to about 40 weight % water, and (d) a cellular structure promoting agent.
CELLULOSE ESTER MULTILAYER INTERLAYERS
An interlayer structure having a cellulose ester layer for use in structural laminates is described herein. The cellulose ester layer provides rigidity and support to multilayer interlayers comprising an array of different layers. Due to the diverse properties of the cellulose ester layers, the present interlayers can be useful in producing structural laminates having high stiffness and which possess good optical clarity for a variety of applications, including outdoor structural applications.
Forgery prevention labels for high-temperature applications
Heat resistant brittle films can be made from impact-modified poly(meth)acrylimide, and forgery prevention labels can contain the heat resistant brittle films. The films can be advantageously prepared by extrusion and, depending on the desired purpose, can be designed to be transparent, translucent, or entirely non-transparent, e.g., white. Ideally, the brittle films and the forgery prevention labels containing the brittle films have no intended break points such as slits, perforation, etc.
SELF-HEALING LAMINATE COMPOSITION, RELATED ARTICLES AND RELATED METHODS
The disclosure relates to a self-healing laminate composition. The composition includes a first, self-healing layer with a self-healing polymer and a second, mechanical layer adjacent to the first layer. The second layer includes any desired polymer, for example a crosslinked polymer, a thermoplastic polymer, or a functional thermoset polymer. Self-healing polymers with dynamic covalent bonds are suitable, for example those with dynamic urea bonds and/or dynamic urethane bonds. A self-healing polymer that is damaged can undergo autonomous repair when separated surfaces re-contact each other due to the soft nature of the self-healing polymer, whereupon reversible bonds can reform to rejoin and repair the damaged self-healing polymer. When the self-healing laminate according to the disclosure is damaged, the self-healing mechanism of the first layer can cause the repair of both layers. The self-healing laminate composition can be used as a coating on any of a variety of substrates to provide self-healing properties to a surface
HIGH EFFICIENCY INFRARED REFLECTOR HAVING REDUCED COLOR
Infrared reflectors are described. In particular, infrared reflectors with reduced off-axis color are described. Such infrared reflectors may be useful in laminated glass constructions, particularly for applications where the glass may be exposed to water.
Method for manufacturing a plastic fabric-film composite product, plastic fabric-film composite and packaging bag comprising a plastic fabric-film composite
A method for manufacturing a plastic fabric-film composite product includes forming an extruded-film web with at least one sealing layer by film extrusion in such a way that the sealing layer is located on a first side of the extruded-film web and then, feeding and laminating a plastic-fabric web made of film-strip fabric and the prefabricated extruded-film strip with one another to form a composite web. The composite web is formed in such a way that a second side of the extruded-film web faces a first side of the plastic-fabric web.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR A REINFORCED SEAL ELEMENT FOR JOINTS ON A DRILLING TOOL
A method for forming a seal boot includes forming a stack of discrete, non-intertwined layers by layering a sheet of elastomeric material with a fabric; rolling the stack to form a tube; installing the tube within a mold; closing the mold; and heating the mold and the installed tube.

Biaxially oriented polyester film for metal lamination
The invention relates to a multilayer biaxially oriented polyester film comprising a base layer B, an amorphous outer layer A and a further outer layer C, where this polyester film is suitable for lamination with metal sheets. The invention in particular relates to a polyester film which comprises (based on the mass of polyester) from 2 to 15% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the base layer and which comprises more than 19% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the amorphous layer A, and which has a silane-based coating on the outer layer A. The invention further relates to a process for the production of these films.
