Synthetic fabric having slip resistant properties and method of making same
A synthetic nonwoven fabric having bonded fibers forming channels surrounding unbonded fibers forming raised slip resistant spots. The fabric is made by extruding hot polymer through a spinneret die onto a moving belt to form a sheet of random fibers, which sheet undergoes a calendering process between a pair of heated rollers, one of which rollers having a plurality of cavities defined in its surface. The resulting fabric can be laminated and otherwise combined with other layers as desired to provide an end product having good slip resistant properties.
FUNCTIONAL INTERIOR FITTING PART FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A FUNCTIONAL INTERIOR FITTING PART
A functional interior trim part for a vehicle is disclosed. The trim part includes a layered structure having at least a base support, a functional layer and a haptic layer. The functional interior trim part includes an electrical shielding layer. The electrical shielding layer leads to a selective sensor field expression in the direction of an operating half-space. The electrical shielding layer is arranged on a side of the functional layer facing away from the haptic layer. A method for manufacturing the interior trim part is also disclosed.
PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULE BACKSHEET COMPRISING POLYOLEFIN LAYERS
The present invention relates to a photovoltaic module backsheet, comprising photovoltaic module backsheet comprising, in order: a functional layer; a connecting layer; and a weather-resistant layer, wherein each layer of the backsheet comprises at least 50 wt. % polyolefin and the backsheet is free of fluorinated polymers, characterized in that: i) the functional layer comprises a blend of polyethylene and a polyethylene copolymer; and ii) the weather-resistant layer comprises polypropylene; a UV stabilizer; a primary antioxidant, which primary antioxidant is a phenolic antioxidant or an aromatic amine antioxidant; and secondary antioxidant, which secondary antioxidant is a trivalent phosphorus containing antioxidant or a thioether containing antioxidant. The present invention also relates to a process for producing the backsheet and a photovoltaic module comprising the backsheet according to the present invention.
Functional laminate and production method therefor
Provided is a functional laminate including a porous intermediate layer having air permeability laminated between a porous surface layer and a resin foamed layer, the porous intermediate layer having an affinity to a foaming resin forming the resin foamed layer.

Multilayer tubes
A multilayer tube is provided which includes a layer including a specific aliphatic polyamide composition and a layer including a semi-aromatic polyamide composition including a semi-aromatic polyamide with a specific structure, these layers being adjacent to each other, wherein the aliphatic polyamide composition includes an aliphatic polyamide having a specific ratio of the number of methylene groups to the number of amide groups, a polyamide having a specific difference in absolute value of solubility parameter SP from the aliphatic polyamide, and an elastomer polymer including a structural unit derived from an unsaturated compound having a carboxyl group and/or an acid anhydride group.
Monolithic breathable film and composite manufactured therefrom
Breathable multilayer films suitable for a wide variety of uses (e.g., protective apparel, surgical gowns, surgical drapes, aprons, roofing material, house wrap, etc.) are disclosed. The breathable multilayer film may include a monolithic core layer. The monolithic core layer may comprise at least one highly breathable polymer. The breathable multilayer film may also include at least one skin layer. The skin layer or layers may comprise at least one highly breathable polymer, a filler, and a non-breathable material. An exemplary structure of the breathable multilayer film provides a monolithic core layer, a first skin layer on one side of the monolithic core layer, and a second skin layer on the other side of the monolithic core layer. An exemplary construction of one or both of the skin layers includes one or more highly breathable polymers, a filler, and a non-breathable material. The filler, for example, may comprise calcium carbonate.
Film, roll and adhesive tape
A film that is excellent in easy cuttability and linear cuttability and suppressed in breakability in processing, and a roll and a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape that includes the film. The film has the tensile strength in one direction is 1.1 to 2.5 kN/m and the tensile strength in a direction orthogonal to the one direction is 3.0 to 10 kN/m, or the tensile strain at tensile strength in one direction is 50 to 150% and the tensile strain at tensile strength in a direction orthogonal to the one direction is 8 to 20%.
Composite structures including a bonding layer and methods of making the composite structure
Aspects of the present disclosure provide for composite structures including a bonding layer that adheres a substrate (e.g., including a polymeric composition such as rubber) to a material (e.g., including a polymer such as polyurethane). The adhesion of the substrate to the material through the bonding layer can include chemical bonds such as, but not limited to, siloxane linkages, silanol linkages, silyl linkages, or any combination thereof in the bonding layer.
