A membrane covered panel and a membrane covered panel production method are provided wherein an elastomeric membrane, and preferably, an aqueous elastomeric resin-based membrane, is applied to a finished panel construct, prior to pressing of the membrane covered panel. The method is used to produce panels which can be used in the production of flooring materials, wall panels, furniture, countertops, and the like. The membrane is applied to a transfer film, which transfer film can be removed at any time prior to, or after the pressing operation. The panels produced have a durable but elastic surface which can protect the surfaces of the panel construct. The elastomeric covering on the panel construct also preferably provides a surface which is abrasion resistant, and provides better acoustical properties while providing a soft touch haptic surface.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING SHEET METAL PARTS TO FORM LAMINATION STACKS
20230170771 · 2023-06-01 ·

A device and a method for connecting sheet metal parts to form lamination stacks in which sheet metal parts are separated from an electrical steel strip using a stamping stage equipped with a punch, wherein the electrical steel strip has a thermally activatable hot-melt adhesive varnish layer on at least one of its flat sides, the separated sheet metal parts are stacked and integrally bonded to one another to form multiple lamination stacks through activation of the hot-melt adhesive varnish layer, wherein a parting compound is applied to the electrical steel strip and/or separated sheet metal part in order to make it easier to divide the stacked sheet metal parts into lamination stacks. In order to achieve advantageous conditions, it is proposed for the punch of the stamping stage to apply a liquid fluid as a parting compound onto the electrical steel strip and/or separated sheet metal part.

METHODS AND APPARATUS TO REMOVE GAS AND VAPOR FROM A PANEL FOR A DECORATIVE LAYER
20170326859 · 2017-11-16 ·

Methods and apparatus to remove gas and vapor from a panel for a decorative layer are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first press plate of a hot press to engage a first surface of a panel. The hot press is to apply heat to the panel via the first press plate to cure resin of the panel. A first portion of the first press plate is composed of a permeable material to remove at least one of gas or vapor from the panel to deter the at least one of gas or vapor from exerting a pressure on a decorative layer to be coupled to the panel to deter separation of a portion of the decorative layer from the panel.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, AND LAMINATE THEREOF

In an embodiment, a process for producing a functional-substance thin film material for which a required heating temperature for finishing is 100-130° C. is characterized in that a PP film 2 is releasably laminated to a surface of a PET film 1 with a non-silicone adhesive layer 3 so that the strength of adhesion of the PP film 2 by the non-silicone adhesive layer 3 is regulated so as to prevent the PP film 2 from suffering thermal deformation when a functional substance superposed in a thin film form on the other surface of the PP film 2 is heated to 100-130° C. in order to finally convert the functional substance into a functional-substance thin film material 4.
