Field cover
The present application relates to athletic field covers with wind-refracting layer.
APPARATUS AND METHOD PROVIDING A WEARABLE USER INTERFACE DEVICE
A flexible substrate including a conductive path formed on a side of the flexible substrate from a flexible conductive thread attached to the substrate and an electronic component attached to the same side of the substrate as the conductive path and electrically connected to the conductive path and having an adhesive on the same side suitable for adhering the flexible substrate including the conductive path and the electronic component on a region of skin of a user's body.
Device for producing composite material, composite material produced using same, and method for producing composite material
The present invention provides a device for producing a composite material, including: a mat production unit that produces a mat which forms a polymer film having a plurality of fiber layers; a fiber production unit that produces a wide-width fiber which is formed of a plastic resin with a single direction fiber layer; and a composite material production unit to which the mat and the double width fiber are supplied so that the mat and the wide-width fiber are laminated according to a predetermined order of lamination. Also, the present invention provides a composite material produced using the device and a method for producing said composite material.
VEHICLE VISOR
Systems and methods of sun visor construction are provided. The method can include obtaining a section of material from a piece of material used to form a headliner of a vehicle. The method can include forming a first portion of material and a second portion of material from the section of material. The method can include stacking the first portion of material with the second portion of material. The method can include coupling a component with the first portion of material and the second portion of material to form a visor of the vehicle, the component covering an outer edge of the first portion of material and an outer edge of the second portion of material.
Collapsible Artistic Sculpture and Method of Making the Same
Disclosed is a method of making an extensible sculpture including providing a plurality of flexible material sheets; cutting each of the plurality of flexible material sheets to form a plurality of at least three sculptural pieces; arranging the sculptural pieces in a predetermined order; defining a first set of connection columns on the top face of the first sculptural piece; using a first connector to fixedly connect the bottom face of the second sculptural piece to the top face of the first sculptural piece at the first set of connection columns; defining a second set of connection columns on the top face of the second sculptural piece; and using a second connector to fixedly connect the bottom face of the third sculptural piece to the top face of the second sculptural piece at the second set of connection columns.
METHOD FOR ATTACHING INSULATION PANELS
A method for connecting insulation panels, each of the panels comprising a cellulosic web having two sides and an outside edge, and comprising layers of cellulosic fibers, the method comprising: arranging a portion of each panel to be adjacent to the other, thereby forming an edge portion where the two webs can be connected; relaxing the fibers of cellulosic material in the edge portion of each insulation panel by applying heat to the edge portion at a temperature of 150? F. to 450? F., thereby forming a relaxed fiber edge portion;
compressing the relaxed fiber edge portion of each insulation panel at a pressure of at least 5 psig, thereby forming a compressed panel portion having a thickness and a density; and
fastening the compressed panel portions together using sewing, riveting, adhesive, tape, interlacing, stamping, ply bonding or stapling thereby forming a fastened area, wherein step (c) can be conducted at the same time or following step (b).
Article of footwear with composite upper
An article of footwear includes at least one panel comprised of a composite material. The composite material includes a plurality of layers that are secured together according to a predetermined embroidery stitching pattern. The panel includes a first layer having a maximum elongation in a length direction of the article of footwear, and a second layer having a maximum elongation in a width direction of the article of footwear. The composite material also includes additional layers coupled to the first layer and the second layer.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A FLUID-FILLED CHAMBER WITH A TENSILE ELEMENT
A method of manufacturing a fluid-filled chamber with a tensile element includes manufacturing a tensile element and incorporating the tensile element into a chamber. A first material layer, a second material layer, and a spacing structure having a plurality of support portions and a plurality of gaps may be stacked. The material layers may be located on either side of the spacing structure or on one side of the spacing structure. A strand may be stitched through the gaps to join the material layers and to form the tensile element. The spacing structure may be removed, and the first material layer may be spaced from the second material layer such that segments of the strand extend between the material layers. The tensile element may then be secured to opposite interior surfaces of an outer barrier, and the outer barrier may be pressurized to place the strand in tension.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL STITCHING STRUCTURE REINFORCED WITH Z-DIRECTION FIBER
The present invention relates to a fastening structure of a composite material structure, and more particularly, to a composite material stitching structure reinforced with z-direction fiber which improves strength in a lamination direction of a relatively weak composite material structure, for a composite material structure, in which composite materials are laminated and bonded.
NON WOVEN POLYMER LAMINATED BAGS
Bags for storing granular material are disclosed, the bags having an inner woven polymeric layer, an outer nonwoven polymeric layer, and an extruded polymer layer bonding the inner layer to the outer layer. Methods for forming the bags are also disclosed.
