APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LAMINATE
A device for manufacturing a layered material including an elastic thread sandwiched between a pair of sheets, including: a pair of nip rolls arranged with their axes parallel to each other for nipping the elastic thread between the pair of sheets being conveyed in a conveyance direction; a needle arranged upstream of the nip roll in the conveyance direction for guiding and arranging the elastic thread between the pair of sheets while dispensing the elastic thread through a through hole, through which the elastic thread passes; a needle body that holds the needle; a reciprocating section, to which the needle body is attached, for reciprocating in a width direction, which intersects with the conveyance direction; and a stabilizer that stabilizes the reciprocation of the reciprocating section, wherein the stabilizer is a non-contact-type guide.
Blanket
A blanket formed from multiple layers including a fabric layer on the top and a base layer on the bottom where the base layer may include a waterproof coating on at least one side. The blanket may also include an insulation layer and an adhesive scrim layer positioned between the fabric layer and the base layer. The layers of the blanket may be attached using a combination of stitching along with an adhesive to form a blanket that is waterproof and is secured together such that the fabric layer does not move relative to the base layer.
BIODEGRADABLE ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THERE
Provided are a biodegradable eco-friendly material and a manufacturing method thereof. The biodegradable eco-friendly material includes a biodegradable base fabric into which paper mulberry yarn and cotton yarn are mixed and woven, a leather layer made of a biodegradable material attached to one side of the base fabric, and a coating layer attached to the other side of the base fabric. Here, the base fabric may be woven in a state where 74 to 76 parts by weight of the cotton yarn and 24 to 26 parts by weight of the paper mulberry yarn are mixed.
Inherently secured aerogel composites
Embodiments of the present invention describe secured fiber-reinforced aerogels and laminate structures formed therefrom. In one embodiment a laminate comprises at least one fiber-reinforced aerogel layer adjacent to at least one layer of fiber containing material wherein fibers from said at least one fiber-reinforced aerogel layer are interlaced with fibers of said at least one fiber-containing material. In another embodiment a laminate comprises at least two adjacent fiber-reinforced aerogel layers wherein fibers from at least one fiber-reinforced aerogel layer are interlaced with fibers of an adjacent fiber-reinforced aerogel layer.
PROCESS FOR APPLYING FILM BACKING TO SYNTHETIC TURF AND PRODUCT
The invention comprises a method of making synthetic turf. The method comprises applying an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer adhesive to a first primary surface of a tufted primary backing to form a coating thereon and wherein the primary backing is tufted with a plurality of synthetic filaments to form a face pile extending outwardly from a second primary surface of the synthetic turf opposite the first primary surface and heating the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer adhesive to a temperature above its melting point so that the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer adhesive melts and at least partially flows into the primary backing. The method also comprises heating a linear low-density polyethylene film to a temperature below the softening point of the film and pressing the heated linear low-density polyethylene film into contact with the polymer coated first primary surface of the tufted primary backing. The method further comprises allowing the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer adhesive and the linear low-density polyethylene film to cool, whereby the linear low-density polyethylene film is adhered to the tufted primary backing.
Aircraft airfoil having a stitched trailing edge and manufacturing method thereof
A configuration and manufacturing method for a trailing edge of an aircraft airfoil, such as a control surface or a lifting surface is described. The trailing edge is formed and configured by upper and lower composite covers, which are stitched to each other with a metallic wire, such as the metallic wire is electrically in contact with upper and lower metallic meshes to provide electrical continuity between meshes. According to a method, upper and lower covers configuring the trailing edge, are stitched with the metallic wire before curing the covers, so that the metallic wire gets embedded within the composite material. A trailing edge for an aircraft airfoil, which is easy to manufacture and that at the same time fulfills aerodynamic, mechanical and electrical conductivity requirements is described.
SHOE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SHOE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SHOE UPPER
An object of the present invention is to provide a shoe including an upper that is easily conformed to a shape of a last when it is shaped. The shoe includes an upper made of a fiber sheet that includes: a first layer made of knitted fabric or woven fabric that includes yarns having a heat shrinkability and has inner gaps; and a second layer layered on the first layer and made of nonwoven fabric, knitted fabric or woven fabric, and being integrated with the first layer by needle punching.
GARMENT MULTILAYERED-LINING SEWING PROCESS
This disclosure relates to a sewing process of a breathable, reusable, and leak-proof garment multilayered-lining having absorbent, antimicrobial, waterproofing, and steam dispersion functions. Such lining aims at preventing body fluids such as sweat, blood, vaginal fluids, menstrual fluid, urine, breast milk, or post-surgical fluids from leaking. Such a lining provides the absorbent, antimicrobial, waterproofing, and steam dispersion functions. The lining may be sewed or adhered to the garment piece including: men's and women's underwear, shorts, short pants, skirts, pants, bras, shirts, T-shirts, jumpsuits, body shapers, dresses, men's and women's nightwear, etc. The sewing process creates channels for the liquid and creates a non-linear U-shaped structure on the lining to prevent leakage from the sides. The disclosed lining also has a reduced number of layers on its sides due to one of its layers being smaller in width than the other layers, making the coating thinner for the wearer.
FIBER-MODIFIED INTERLAYER FOR A COMPOSITE STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A composite manufacturing method includes the step of drawing a nonwoven fabric formed of continuous fibers through a slurry of discontinuous fibers suspended in a dispersive liquid to yield a fiber-modified interlayer comprising a network of said discontinuous fibers attached to said nonwoven fabric.
