Method of forming a non-cylindrical filament for use in extrusion-based digital manufacturing systems

A consumable material for use in an extrusion-based digital manufacturing system, the consumable material comprising a length and a cross-sectional profile of at least a portion of the length that is axially asymmetric. The cross-sectional profile is configured to provide a response time with a non-cylindrical liquefier of the extrusion-based digital manufacturing system that is faster than a response time achievable with a cylindrical filament in a cylindrical liquefier for a same thermally limited, maximum volumetric flow rate.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL DISPLAY DEVICE

Method for manufacturing an optical display device which allows for appropriately correcting a linear deformation generated on a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in laminating an optical functional film with a panel member includes steps of peeling a sheet of optical functional film together with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer from a carrier film up to a predetermined head-out length, stopping the conveyance of the carrier film for detecting the front edge, making the front edge of the sheet of optical functional film proceed to the laminating position, laminating from the front edge to a predetermined position upstream of the head-out length on the sheet of optical functional film with the panel member at a first lamination speed, and laminating at least a part from the predetermined position to a rear edge of the sheet of optical functional film with the panel member at a speed faster than the first lamination speed.

Method for creating ceramic-containing transaction cards

A transaction card includes a card body that may comprise a card body comprising a ceramic material, the card body including a primary surface and a first mating surface. A card backer comprises a metallic material and includes a secondary surface and a second mating surface. A portion of the first mating surface and a portion of the second mating surface are coupled together.

PLASTER BOARDS HAVING INTERNAL LAYERS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THEM

Disclosed herein are plaster boards that include first and second layers of hardened plaster material, a liner attached to the first layer of hardened plaster material, and a first material (e.g., a polymer material such as a viscoelastic polymer) adhered between the liner and the second layer of hardened plaster material. The liner includes one or more structurally weakened regions each extending substantially from a first edge to a second opposing edge of the plaster board. The structurally weakened regions of the liner may facilitate creation of a fissure that propagates substantially within a plane within the plaster board. Methods for making the plaster boards may involve drying wet plaster material while it is in contact with a liner having structurally weakened regions, processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with wet plaster material, or processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with hardened plaster material.

Fabric reinforced traction mat

A traction mat wherein the foam is reinforced with a layer of fabric or fiber between the CLCC foam layer and the substrate or underlying surface. The layering is preferably a first foam layer, a first adhesive layer, a fabric and/or fiber layer, followed by a second adhesive layer. This prevents the CLCC foam from being bonded directly to the substrate which allows the fabric/fiber to support the CLCC foam such that the entire assembly can be removed in one piece without the CLCC foam disintegrating. The introduction of the reinforcing fabric and/or fiber layer eliminates any residual CLCC foam from being bonded to the substrate. Consequently, the traction mat can be easily lifted away and removed.

Support Plate for Installing Tile
20240240472 · 2024-07-18 ·

A support for installing facing materials such as ceramic tiles on a substrate, such as, floors, walls and ceilings. The support plate has a plurality of spaced apart raised portions and recesses in the plate material, and a plurality of openings extending through the top surface and bottom surface of the plate material. The openings exposing a mat layer attached to the bottom of the support plate. Support plates of the invention are used for tile installations between a substrate and tile. Thin-set mortar that is used to secure the tile to the support plate flows into the recesses and into the openings forming a continuous bond between the mortar, openings and mat layer to provide a strong bond between the support plate, mortar and the tiles.

METHOD OF MAKING A TUFTED LAMINATED CLEANING ARTICLE
20190075995 · 2019-03-14 ·

A method of making a cleaning article. The cleaning article has discrete tufts of tow fibers. The discrete tufts are unequally spaced from adjacent tufts, to provide improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The cleaning article may be made by cutting a precursor sheet having tufts into discrete portions. The discrete portions are then bonded to a carrier sheet.

A method of making a cleaning article. The cleaning article has discrete tufts of tow fibers. The discrete tufts are unequally spaced from adjacent tufts, to provide improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The cleaning article may be made by cutting out spaces between tufts from a precursor sheet. Optionally the precursor sheet may be attached to a carrier sheet.

Absorbent article with a slitted absorbent core

The invention relates to slit absorbent articles and the use of slits in absorbent materials to provide improved liquid intake rate, flexibility and softness compared to the unmodified material. The absorbent material, including superabsorbent materials, are particularly useful as absorbent cores in disposable absorbent articles such as diapers, incontinent products, sanitary napkins and the like.
