Resilient flooring product and methods of making same

Described herein are resilient floor coverings produced by using digitally printed UV-cured inks and exhibiting high adhesion properties between an ink layer and a wear layer. Also described herein are methods for manufacturing same. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DECORATIVE FOIL AND A PANEL COMPRISING SUCH FOIL

A method for manufacturing a decorative foil may involve providing a thermoplastic carrier layer. An ink receiving layer may be provided to the carrier layer. A decorative pattern may be formed on the carrier layer by performing a digital printing operation wherein droplets of aqueous inks having a volume smaller than 100 pL are jet to the carrier layer, more particularly to the ink receiving. The ink receiving layer may comprise a binding agent, preferably different from an acrylic copolymer, and/or silica.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ADHESIVE-FREE LAMINATES

A process for producing an adhesive-free laminate is described herein. The process includes printing an ink on a surface of a first film, exposure of the printed film to UV radiation such that the ink is at least partially cured, contacting the first film to a second film such that the ink is between the first and second film, and exposing the combination of the first film, the ink and the second film to a second UV radiation. It has been found that this process can produce a high-quality laminate, without the presence of an adhesive.

Vehicle pane, vehicle, and method for producing same

A vehicle pane has a first and a second pane element that are joined to one another surface-to-surface such that the vehicle pane has a first pane face, a second pane face, a third pane face, and a fourth pane face. The second pane face has a first printed region and the third or fourth pane face has a second printed region for forming a viewing region along the vehicle pane. The first and second printed region are each designed with at least a first, second, and third zone. At least one of the first and/or second zones is at least partially printed and the third zones are not printed. The second zones are implemented as a transition region between the first zone and the third zone such that an optical effect of the first printed region is compensated by an optical effect of the second printed region.

Method for Forming a Multilayer PVC Sheet Material with a Foamed Carrier
20230241869 · 2023-08-03 ·

The present invention relates to a method for forming a multilayer plastic sheet material for floor and/or wall panels, wherein a first polymer mass comprising a chemically foamed PVC is melted under pressure and is forced through an extruder head at a well-defined discharge rate as a plastic strand in sheet form that is provided with one or more layers so that a multilayer plastic strand is formed, which is propelled towards two or more rolls of a rolling mill, which processes the multilayer plastic strand to a sheet of a defined thickness and where one of the rolls will apply a three-dimensional structure in the top layer. This sheet will then be led away by a discharge device to a sawing device to be cut off to the desired length and width and finally, in a subsequent production step, as multilayer plank-shaped elements, will be provided with coupling parts on two opposite edges so that several of said plank-shaped elements are couplable together.

RECOVERED PLASTIC CARDS

A laminated transaction card may comprise post-consumer polyethylene with a thickness of at least 30% of a thickness of the laminated transaction card. A first polymer- based layer comprising polyvinyl chloride is coupled to a first surface of the core layer by a first adhesive layer. A second polymer-based layer comprising polyvinyl chloride is coupled to a second surface of the core layer by a second adhesive layer. The first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer comprise an adhesive formulated to bond the post-consumer polyethylene and the polymer-based layers.
