Sound-absorbing membrane, sound absorbing material, and methods of manufacture thereof
Provided are a sound-absorbing membrane, a sound-absorbing material, and methods of manufacture therefor that can provide suitable sound absorbing performance, suppressed deterioration in appearance quality, and easy production. A sound-absorbing membrane 10 includes: a base sheet 11 made of a nonwoven fabric having a airflow resistance of 0.01 to 0.1 kPa.Math.s/m; and a resin film 12 covering one surface of the base sheet, the resin film 12 made of a thermosetting resin in a semi-cured state. Fillers 13 made of powder having an average particle diameter of 1 to 100 m are dispersed in the resin film 12. The sound-absorbing membrane 10 has a whole airflow resistance of 0.2 to 5.0 kPa.Math.s/m. A sound-absorbing material 20 includes a sound absorbing base sheet 21 made of a porous material, and the sound-absorbing membrane 10 laminated on one surface or both surfaces of the sound absorbing base sheet 21 such that the resin film 12 faces the sound absorbing base sheet 21, the sound-absorbing material 20 has a predetermined shape.
Building board and method of forming the building board
A building board including a cementitious layer between two fiber mats. At least one fiber mat forms with a polymer film a fiber mat/polymer film laminate. The cementitious layer of the building board contains a reactive water-insoluble polymer which improves binding of the fiber mat/polymer film laminate to the cementitious layer. The building board has a low water absorption and a high level surface finish.
Lightweight, reduced density fire rated gypsum panels
A reduced weight, reduced density gypsum panel that includes high expansion vermiculite with fire resistance capabilities that are at least comparable to (if not better than) commercial fire rated gypsum panels with a much greater gypsum content, weight and density.
Electroactive polymers, methods of manufacture, and structures formed thereof
Methods for producing layered structures that include a conductive polymeric layer and a dielectric polymeric layer. The dielectric polymeric layer can be formed by curing a first volume of a dielectric polymeric material. A second volume of the dielectric polymeric material is doped with conductive particulates to yield a conductive polymeric material, which is then partially cured and solvated to create a conductive polymeric paste. The paste is applied to a surface of the dielectric polymeric layer, dried, and cured to form a conductive polymeric layer on the pre-strained dielectric polymeric layer yielding a layered structure that includes the conductive polymeric layer and the dielectric polymeric layer. A pre-strain is induced in the dielectric polymeric material by contacting a chemical thereto that causes swelling therein.
Method of producing a mineral wool product comprising a multiple of lamellae and a product of such kind
A method and a mineral wool product include a multiple of lamellae, such as a sandwich panel core. The product includes a plurality of lamellae cut from a mineral wool web, and bonded together by applying an adhesive on the surfaces of two adjacent lamellae to form a web-like product, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
LAMINATED SHOWER CURTAINS
Laminated shower curtains are disclosed having an antimicrobial pre-treated fabric layer comprising a first antimicrobial agent, and an antimicrobial liquid impermeable film layer bonded to the antimicrobial pre-treated fabric layer comprising a polymeric material and a second antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial pre-treated fabric layer and the antimicrobial pre-treated fabric layer of the laminated shower curtains may be individually produced before being bonded together.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING MATTRESSES
Described is a machine for packaging mattresses comprising first movement means configured to move a mattress being processed along a first movement path and in a first feed direction and second movement means configured to move a functional layer along a second movement path and in a second feed direction. The second movement path is located at least partly above the first movement path until leading into it at a placement station, wherein the functional layer is placed on the mattress being processed. Means for applying adhesive material are positioned along the first movement path and detection means are configured and programmed to detect the position and preferably the dimensions of the mattress being processed and/or of the functional layer. The control unit is programmed to receive a detection signal indicating the position and preferably the dimensions detected and to generate a control signal of the first and/or second movement means.
BINDER COMPOSITION
The invention relates to an aqueous binder composition for mineral fibers comprising at least one polyelectrolytic hydrocolloid.
GYPSUM BOARD MANUFACTURING METHOD AND GYPSUM BOARD
A gypsum board manufacturing method is provided. The gypsum board manufacturing method includes a molding step of forming a plate-shaped molded body including gypsum slurry and cover base paper disposed to cover at least a part of a surface of the gypsum slurry. In a cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the molded body, the cover base paper completely covers the periphery of the gypsum slurry, portions of the cover base paper overlap each other, and a distance between a step formed by the overlap of the cover base paper and a lateral end of the molded body is greater than or equal to 15 mm.
