A method of forming a composite component comprising a layer which consists at least partly of polyethylene, a layer which consists at least partly of a polyurethane and/or an elastomer, at least one layer which consists at least partly of a plastic reinforced by fibers, or which consists at least partly of an adhesive, wherein the layer is disposed directly between the layer and the layer, wherein the layers have been joined in a first operation to form a laminate composite and the layer have been joined in a second operation onto the laminate composite comprising the layers.
Window jig complex structure, and apparatus and method for fabricating display device
A window jig complex structure includes a window jig and a protective cap extended from the window jig. The window jig includes a main jig part having longer sides extended in a first direction and shorter sides extended in a second direction, a first short side jig part bent from one of the shorter sides of the main jig part in a thickness direction at a first side of the main jig part, and a second short side jig part bent from another of the shorter sides of the main jig part at a second side of the main jig part. The protective cap is coupled with the second short side jig part.
ELECTRICITY-GENERATING COATING FOR A SURFACE OF A CARGO CARRYING VEHICLE TO PRODUCE ELECTRICITY
An electricity-generating coating is provided for a surface of a cargo carrying vehicle. The electricity-generating coating includes a conformal organic photovoltaic device configured to be applied and conformed to the surface of the cargo carrying vehicle and configured to supply power for one or more electronic or electrical components or systems at least one of on-board or off-board the cargo carrying vehicle.
Method of manufacturing simple curvature thermoplastic composite parts
A method for manufacturing a composite part by laying up courses of composite tape using an automated tape layup (ATL) machine onto a conductive flexible facesheet laid flat on a flat surface, and then transferring the facesheet with the composite material thereon to a curved tooling surface for attachment of substructures and curing into the composite part. The method may also include applying insulation below the facesheet and above the composite material, then heating the conductive facesheet to cure the composite tape and fuse the composite tape to the substructures without heating the tooling surface or any other items used to compress and cure the composite material into the composite part. Heating of the facesheet may be performed using joule heat provided by a single turn transformer inducing current to a plurality of conductive wires attached at opposing ends to the facesheet.
Curved vehicle displays
Embodiments of a curved vehicle display including a display module having a display surface, a curved glass substrate disposed on the display surface having a first major surface, a second major surface having a second surface area, and a thickness in a range from 0.05 mm to 2 mm, wherein the second major surface comprises a first radius of curvature of 200 mm or greater, wherein, when the display module emits a light, the light transmitted through the glass substrate has a substantially uniform color along 75% or more of the second surface area, when viewed at a viewing angle at a distance of 0.5 meters from the second surface. Methods of forming a curved vehicle display are also disclosed.
Stone composite board and processing method
According to a processing method of a stone composite board, the two sides of a natural stone board are ground and flattened until a preset standard value of thickness variation is reached, then the surface planes and base material layers are subjected to pressure-compositing through adhesive layers, afterwards splitting is conducted, and the natural stone layer is subjected to calibrated planing with diamond roller and surface treatment to obtain the ultra-thin stone composite board.
LAMINATION DEVICE
A lamination device includes a first jig to which is fixed a window that includes a flat surface and at least one curved surface, a pressure pad disposed on a second jig that faces the first jig, where the pressure pad includes a first surface that corresponds the flat surface of the window and a second surface that corresponds the at least one curved surface of the window, and a pressure sensor array disposed on the pressure pad. The pressure sensor array includes a plurality of first electrodes that overlap the first surface and a plurality of second electrodes that overlap the second surface.
PLASTIC COMPOSITE PANEL AND ASSOCIATED PRODUCTION METHOD
A method for producing a plastic composite panel which is provided as a layer structure. The method includes providing a film layer structure comprising an adhesive layer which is arranged between two transparent plastic films. The film layer structure is pre-molded to assume an approximately final shape and is arranged in a molding tool so that a first main surface of the film layer structure is towards the molding surface of the molding tool and so that a cavity is formed between the second main surface of the film layer structure and a surface of the molding tool. The film layer structure is then back-molded in a thermal molding method step while introducing a thermoplastic material into the cavity to provide the layer structure. A pre-molding and back-molding step, a rigidification of the thermoplastic layer, and a demolding of the layer structure is further performed.
Display device, and method and apparatus for manufacturing the same
A display device includes a cover window including a curved portion, and a panel member laminated on the cover window. A method of manufacturing a display device includes mounting a cover window including a curved portion on a first jig including a curved portion, mounting a panel member on a second jig that conforms to a surface of the first jig, and laminating the cover window to the panel member by moving a first one of the first jig or the second jig to a first other one of the first jig or the second jig. An apparatus for manufacturing a display device includes a first jig including a mount surface that is partially curved to conform to a surface of a cover window, a second jig including a surface conforming to the mount surface and configured to contact a panel member, and a driving unit.
METHOD OF LAMINATING A FUNCTIONAL FILM ONTO AN OPTICAL ARTICLE AND OPTICAL ARTICLE
This method of laminating a functional film onto an optical article includes: thermoforming the functional film so as to provide the functional film with a predetermined target curvature based on a curvature of a face of the optical article on which the functional film is to be applied; applying the functional film onto that face of the optical article; pressing the functional film against that face of the optical article so as to adhere the functional film to that face of the optical article. This method further includes heating the functional film at at least one predetermined temperature after the applying, so that the functional film conforms to the curvature of that face of the optical article.
