A wide microporous film comprises one or more layers comprising a polyolefin; wherein the film has a width of a least 40 inches, at least 45 inches, at least 50 inches, at least 55 inches, at least 60 inches, at least 65 inches, or at least 70 inches.
Thermoformable film
A thermoformable film comprises a polyethylene composition. The polyethylene composition comprises a first polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, a second polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 15,000 to 100,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, and a third polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of >2.3, where the first polyethylene has more short chain branching than the second polyethylene or the third polyethylene. The polyethylene composition has a melt flow ratio (I.sub.21/I.sub.2) of ≤50 and an area Dimensional Thermoformability Index (aDTI) at 105° C. of less than 15.
RECYCLABLE FLEXIBLE FILMS AND BAGS FOR PACKAGING FLOWABLE MATERIALS
The disclosure provides ethylene/α-olefin copolymer based co-extruded, multi-layer films, including barrier films and non-barrier films, and articles of manufacture that include the films, such as flexible bags and containers for flowable materials. The films and articles that include the films have improved flex-crak reisstance and toughness. The films and articles that include the films have good barrier properties as the barrier films include a core layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer having a high ethylene content. The low amount of EVOH copolymer in the total film that is needed to achieve the flex-crack resistance, toughness, and good barrier properties, further allow for the recycling of the films and articles of manufacture.
A SHRINKABLE LABEL FILM, A SHRINKABLE LABEL AND A METHOD FOR PROVIDING A SHRINKABLE FILM AND A LABEL
The invention relates to a shrink face film and a shrink label comprising said face film. According to an embodiment the shrink face film includes a first skin layer and a second skin layer comprising propylene terpolymer(s) between 1 and 99 wt. %, and a core layer comprising random copolymer(s) of propylene or propylene terpolymer(s), and a modifier, which is at least one of the following: olefinic plastomer, olefinic elastomer and ethylene-octene block copolymer. The invention further relates to a method for providing a shrink face film and a method for labelling of an item with a shrink label comprising said face film.
MULTILAYER FILM, PACKAGING MATERIAL AND PACKAGE
A multilayer film including a first outer layer containing 70 to 30% by mass of a propylene homopolymer (A) and 30 to 70% by mass of a propylene/ethylene random copolymer (B) having an ethylene content of 5% by mass or less, an inner layer containing a propylene/ethylene block copolymer (C) and an ethylene/propylene copolymer elastomer (D), and a second outer layer containing 70 to 30% by mass of the propylene homopolymer (A) and 30 to 70% by mass of the propylene/ethylene random copolymer (B) having an ethylene content of 5% by mass or less, in that order.
METHODS OF RECYCLING FLEXIBLE PACKAGES FORMED OF RECYCLABLE BARRIER LAMINATES
Disclosed are recyclable flexible package and a method of recycling such packages. The flexible package includes a hollow body defining an interior chamber for holding an oxygen sensitive product. The body is formed of a laminated film formed of two layers of a single polymer material, e.g., polyethylene, and at least one interposed barrier layer, e.g., polyvinyl alcohol, that is resistant to the passage of oxygen therethrough and which is water-soluble. The single polymer constitutes at least 95% by weight of the laminated film, whereupon the package is suitable for recycling without requiring separation of the materials thereof by shredding the laminated film and subjecting those pieces to an aqueous wash to dissolve the barrier layer.
Laminated polyolefin microporous membrane including propylene-α-olefin copolymer and method of producing the same
The disclosure provides a laminated polyolefin microporous membrane having propylene-α-olefin copolymer and methods of producing the same. The laminated polyolefin microporous membrane has a two-type three layer structure in which first polyolefin microporous layers are surface layers and a second polyolefin microporous layer is an intermediate layer which is different from the first polyolefin microporous layer.
Systems, Apparatus, and Methods for Creating Thin Plastic Films
A multi-layer film comprising, an outer two layers of the multi-layer film comprising a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) butene resin, a next two inwardly successive layers of the multi-layer film comprising a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) hexene resin, wherein at least one of the next two inwardly successive layers comprises one or more recycled resin components, wherein at least one of the one or more recycled resin components are filtered using continuous filtration, a core layer of the multi-layer film comprising a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) hexene resin, and at least one edge of the multi-layer film comprising a folded edge.
