Gas barrier laminate
This gas barrier laminate comprises a base layer; a gas barrier layer laminated on one surface (A) of the base layer, directly or with another layer sandwiched therebetween; a protective film (α) laminated directly on the gas barrier layer; and a protective film (β) laminated on a surface (B) opposite to the surface (A) of the base layer, directly or with another layer sandwiched therebetween, wherein the gas barrier layer contains a specific inorganic compound, and an adhesion at the time of peeling the protective film (α) and an adhesion at the time of peeling the protective film (β) under specific conditions are both less than or equal to specific values. By means of this invention, there is provided a gas barrier laminate having a base layer, a gas barrier layer, and protective films, in which each of the protective films can be peeled off without adversely affecting the external appearance of an exposed surface, and even after the protective film is peeled off, the original water vapor-blocking properties are maintained in the remaining laminate.
Vehicle headliner and production method thereof
The vehicle headliner includes a base layer, a skin layer disposed on one side of the base layer, and an infrared reflecting layer and a protection layer, in this order, disposed on the other side of the base layer. The base layer contains thermoplastic resin and fiber. The protection layer is a non-stretched resin layer containing a thermoplastic resin having a melting point of 200° C. or more.
Coating
A method of assessing the quality of a bond coat for bonding a ceramic coating to a metallic substrate comprises determining a thresholded summit area for the bond coat.
Wet-area device and method for manufacturing wet-area device
According to one embodiment, a wet-area device includes a main part, a first layer, and a second layer. The first layer is provided on an outer surface of the main part. The second layer is provided on an outer surface of the first layer. A hardness of the second layer is greater than a hardness of the first layer. The first layer includes a first unevenness at a side of the outer surface of the first layer. The first unevenness includes a plurality of recesses and a plurality of protrusions. The second layer includes a second unevenness at a side of an outer surface of the second layer. The second unevenness includes a plurality of recesses and a plurality of protrusions. The second unevenness is arranged along the first unevenness. An average height of the first unevenness is less than an average length of the first unevenness.
METHOD FOR PROTECTING LOW-E GLASS PLATE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING GLASS UNIT, LAMINATE AND PROTECTIVE SHEET FOR LOW-E GLASS PLATE
Provided is a Low-E glass plate protection method capable of preventing or inhibiting Low-E layer alteration. In the protection method, a protective sheet having a substrate and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the substrate is applied for protection via the PSA layer to a Low-E glass plate having a Low-E layer that comprises a zinc component. The method is characterized by using the protective sheet wherein the PSA layer is formed from a water-dispersed PSA composition and includes less than 850 μg ammonia per gram of PSA layer weight.
TRANSPARENT CONDUCTING FILM LAMINATE AND PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF
Provided are a transparent conducting film laminate capable of controlling a curl during and after the heating, and a processing method thereof. A transparent conducting film laminate comprising a transparent conducting film 10, and a carrier film 1 stacked on the transparent conducting film 10, wherein the carrier film is a polycarbonate film having no adhesive agent layer, the transparent conducting film 10 comprises a transparent resin film 2, a transparent conducting layer 3 containing metal nanowires and a binder resin, and an overcoat layer 4 stacked in this order, the transparent resin film 2 is made of an amorphous cycloolefin-based resin, and the carrier film to be releasably stacked on a main face of the transparent conducting film 2, the main face being opposite to the face on which the transparent conducting layer 3 is stacked.
WEDGE-SHAPED MULTI-LAYER INTERLAYER WITH OUTER SKIN LAYERS OF VARYING THICKNESS
Multiple layer interlayers having enhanced optical and acoustic properties are provided, along with methods of making and using the same. Interlayers as described herein may include at least two outer skin layers and an inner core layer, with one of the outer skin layers having a different thickness than the other at one or more locations along the interlayer. The multi-layer interlayer may also exhibit acoustic properties and, in some cases, may have an overall wedged thickness profile. Additionally, in some aspects, interlayers and laminates formed therefrom may also provide reduced infrared energy transmission, without sacrificing acoustic and/or optical performance.
Methods and compositions for on-demand release of ClO.SUB.2 .gas from UV-activated chlorite ion
Compositions and methods for generating ClO.sub.2 gas are disclosed. A composition that includes a chlorite salt is activated by exposure to ultraviolet light. After an optional storage period, the composition is then exposed to moisture, resulting in the generation of ClO.sub.2 gas. Exemplary compositions include polymers in which the chlorite salt is dispersed. The polymers may be used to form films that can be used to package, e.g., food products, pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and/or laboratory devices. Upon exposure to ultraviolet light and moisture, the packaging releases controlled quantities of ClO.sub.2 gas, which may disinfect and/or deodorize the packaged device or product.
