Provided is a Low-E glass plate protection method capable of preventing or inhibiting Low-E layer alteration. The protection method includes a step of applying a protective sheet to a surface of a Low-E glass plate having a Low-E layer comprising a zinc component. Here, the protective sheet has a PSA layer. The Low-E layer comprises a zinc component. The PSA layer includes ammonia and an acid or acid salt capable of forming a counterion to an ammonium ion.
REFLECTIVE POLARIZER, WINDSHIELD, INTEGRAL OPTICAL CONSTRUCTION AND METHOD FOR MAKING INTEGRAL OPTICAL CONSTRUCTION
A reflective polarizer includes a plurality of first layers disposed on a plurality of polymeric second layers. Each of at least 30% of the first layers includes at least 30% by weight of an inorganic material. For an incident light incident in a plane and a first incident angle, the reflective polarizer and the first layers have respective average optical reflectances R3v and R1v in a visible wavelength range and respective average optical reflectances R3ir and R1ir in an infrared wavelength range, R1v<R3v and (R1ir−R3ir)>10%, when the incident light is polarized along a first direction; and for the visible wavelength range and for a second incident angle, the plurality of polymeric second layers has an average optical reflectance R2v(x) when the plane includes the first direction and an average optical reflectance R2v(y) when the plane includes a second direction, 5%<R2v(y)<R2v(x)<60%.
High temperature capable braze assembly
The present invention relates to an article comprising a ceramic substrate (310) comprising a source of zirconium oxide; a metallic substrate (320); and a braze joint disposed between the ceramic substrate and the metallic substrate. The braze joint comprises (i) a gold rich phase (330) interfacing against a surface of the ceramic substrate. The gold rich phase comprises a refractory metal selected from the group consisting of molybdenum, tungsten, niobium, tantalum and combinations thereof; and (ii) a second metallic phase (340) comprising a metal selected form the group consisting of nickel, iron, vanadium, cobalt, chromium, osmium, tantalum or combinations thereof.
Method for producing a multilayer film
A method for producing a multilayer film including at least two layers joined by a two-component adhesive includes the following steps: spreading a first component A of a two-component adhesive on a first face of a first layer of film; spreading a second component B of the two-component adhesive on a first face of a second layer of film; bringing the first and second faces of the first and second layers into mutual contact joining the components and to form an adhesive and join the two layers in a multilayer film; and winding the multilayer film obtained.
Steering wheel
A steering wheel is provided that is able to prevent damage to a layer adjacent to an outer surface layer due to an external force applied when a joined portion between outer surface layer material parts is finished. In a steering wheel comprising a rim portion having a core metal and a covering portion 5 covering the core metal, and a mat material 6 provided between an outer surface material 9 and the covering portion 5 of the rim portion and having a conductive portion 7 on a part facing the outer surface material 9, and the outer surface material 9 has a joined portion 91 formed in a direction intersecting a circumferential direction of the rim portion, the covering portion 5 is provided with a groove 51 in which the joined portion 91 and a part of the mat material 6 are housed, and between the outer surface material 9 and the conductive portion 7, a sliding member 8 is interposed at least in a vicinity of the joined portion 91.
Recyclable packaging materials
Layers of a recyclable packaging material can include a first layer of, or including, oriented polyethylene; a second layer of, or including, oriented polyethylene; a tie layer disposed between and joining the first layer and the second layer to one another; an ink layer printed onto at least a portion of at least one of an inner surface of the first layer or an outer surface of the first layer; a metallic barrier layer on at least a portion of at least one of the first and second layers; and an adhesive layer on at least a portion of an outer surface of the second layer and at least partially defining an exterior surface of the recyclable packaging material. A cold seal release coating can be on at least a portion of at least one of the ink layer or the outer surface of the first layer.
Aqueous polyurethane dispersion adhesive compositions
An aqueous polyurethane dispersion compositions are disclosed. The compositions include a polyurethane prepolymer dispersed in an aqueous medium, the polyurethane prepolymer comprising an isocyanate and a crystalline polyester polyol having a hydroxyl content of 20 to 150 mg KOH/g and a melt temperature of less than or equal to 90° C. Methods of forming a laminate are also disclosed. The methods include providing an aqueous polyurethane dispersion, applying the polyurethane dispersion to a surface of the first substrate, bringing the side of the first substrate into contract with a surface of the second substrate, and curing the aqueous dispersion, thereby laminating the first substrate to the second substrate. Laminates formed by the methods and including the compositions are also disclosed.
