Further, the multilayer film may include a first skin layer comprising at least 80 wt. % of high-density polyethylene, and a second skin layer comprising either: (i) one or more low-density polyethylenes; or (ii) one or more polypropylene-based copolymers. The multilayer film may be oriented in at least one direction.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LAMINATED TINPLATE, A LAMINATED TINPLATE PRODUCED THEREBY AND USE THEREOF
A method for manufacturing a laminated tinplate for packaging applications, the laminated tinplate including a tinplate sheet and a thermoplastic laminate layer that covers at least one side of the tinplate steel sheet, to a laminated tinplate produced thereby and use thereof in a process to produce containers for packaging purposes.
BARRIER LAMINATE FILMS FOR LAP SEALS
A multilayer laminate (100) comprises an oriented polyethylene film (102), a biaxially oriented film (104) adhered to the oriented polyethylene film (102), a barrier film (106) adhered to the biaxially oriented film (104), and a multilayer polyethylene (PE) film (108) adhered to the barrier film (106). The biaxially oriented film (104) comprises one or more components selected from biaxially oriented polyamide (BOPA), biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET), and biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP).
PRODUCT PACKAGING HAVING SELF-STERILIZING COMPONENTS
A package comprises: a sterile barrier packaging film; self-sterilizing components comprising: a plurality of chlorite ions and water, wherein the self-sterilizing components are substantially free of an energy-activated catalyst and of an acid-releasing compound; a package interior formed by hermetically sealing the sterile barrier packaging film; and a headspace within the package interior comprising carbon dioxide present in an amount of greater than or equal to 5% by volume of the headspace. When the package is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light having a wavelength of 254 nm, the chlorite ions react with the water to generate chlorine dioxide (ClO.sub.2), which is released into the headspace. In the absence of any UV light, there is not chlorine dioxide (ClO.sub.2) generation.
Film-shaped firing material, film-shaped firing material provided with support sheet, method for manufacturing film-shaped firing material, and method for manufacturing film-shaped firing material provided with support sheet
This film-shaped firing material is a film-shaped firing material containing sinterable metal particles and a binder component, in which, when the average thickness of the portion of the film-shaped firing material excluding the edge portion is deemed 100%, the average thickness of the edge portion of the film-shaped firing material is at least 5% thicker than the average thickness of the portion of the film-shaped firing material excluding the edge portion.
SANITARY EQUIPMENT PART
A part includes a base material and a surface layer on the base material, wherein a curved surface of the part has: a root mean square height (Sq) of 0.03 μm to 1 μm, a skewness (Ssk) of −1 to 5, and an autocorrelation length (Sal) of 10 μm to 65 μm; and the surface layer is water-repellent, and exhibits a sputtering time of 5 minutes or less, the sputtering time being a time taken from the start of the sputtering to an end point of the surface layer, and the end point being defined, in a profile obtained by an XPS depth direction analysis of the surface layer, as a point where a difference of an absolute value between a carbon atom concentration at a certain measurement point and a carbon atom concentration at a measurement point just prior to the certain measurement point is 1.0 at % or less.
Polyester composition, polyester film, and magnetic recording medium
The invention provides a polyester composition in which the primary repeating units contain an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component (Component A) and an ethylene glycol component (Component C) and a long-chain alkyl dicarboxylic acid component having not less than 6 carbons (Component B) or a long-chain alkyl diol component having not less than 6 carbons (Component D), wherein a sum (WB+WD) of a relative amount (WB) of Component B as calculated based on a total number of moles of Component A and Component B plus a relative amount (WD) of Component D as calculated based on a total number of moles of Component C and Component D are within a range of 2-13 mol %. The invention also provides a polyester film prepared from the polyester composition and having excellent dimensional stability, as well as a magnetic recording medium utilizing the polyester film.
LAMINATE OF MULTILAYER FILMS AND PROCESS THEREOF
A laminate includes a multilayer outer film, which includes a first barrier layer and polyolefin layer on both sides of the first barrier layer, and a multilayer middle film, which includes a second barrier layer and polyolefin layer on both sides of the second barrier layer. The polyolefin layer of the multilayer outer film towards the multilayer middle film and/or the polyolefin layer of the multilayer middle film towards the multilayer outer film is metallized with a metal selected from aluminum, nickel, chromium, or combinations thereof. A process can be used for preparing the laminate and an article can include the laminate.
