A single layer/ply multi-use hose is contemplated. A thermoplastic polymer, such as polyurethane, is extruded through a woven tubular mesh of aramid fibers so as to encourage pillaring through gaps in the mesh of a sufficient amount to improve the overall durability and strength of the resultant hose. This wide diameter (at least 4 inches) and long continuous length (at least 300 feet) hose exhibits excellent durability (e.g., resistance to abrasion and/or punctures) and tensile ratios in excess of 2:1 so as to withstand tensile loads in excess of 100,000 pounds without delamination or bubbling within the hose wall.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SEALING OR REPAIRING A LEAKING AND/OR DAMAGED LOCATION ON AN INNER WALL OF A PIPE
20230018322 · 2023-01-19 ·

A device and method for sealing or repairing a leaking and/or damaged location on an inner wall of a pipe, includes a volume-expandable bellow body configured to expand, with an increase in its volume, when the bellows body is positioned in the region of the leaking and/or damaged location in the interior of the pipe, with infiltration of a fluid, into a bellows-body interior. A carrier portion is formed on an outer surface of the bellows body, a resinated sealing mat being arrangeable on the carrier portion, the sealing mat being fastenable to the inner wall of the pipe, and being able to cure, in an expanded state of the bellows body in the region of the leaking and/or damaged location by being pressed against said-the inner wall. The device can also be used reliably in long-term use, such that the carrier portion is formed from Para rubber or silicone.

Roof Underlayment

An air and water barrier article comprised of multiple layers. The layers include a porous layer, a polymeric layer disposed on a front side of the porous layer, and a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on a second side of the porous layer. In certain embodiments, a top polymeric layer having hydrophobic and UV resistant properties will be provided on a surface of the first polymeric layer opposite the adhesive layer. Each of the polymeric layers and the porous layer can be formed of a material(s) having a Tg between −40° C. and 20° C. The top layer, if present, can have a Tg between −5 and 30° C. The barrier article can provide nail seal ability and have a weight of less than 30 ounces per square yard.

Panel and methods for manufacturing panels

A method is provided for manufacturing a panel that includes a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate. The top layer may include a decor film and a transparent film. The decor film may be a printed synthetic material film chosen from the group consisting of a vinyl-based film, a polyethylene based film, a polyurethane based film, and a polypropylene film. A print may be situated on an upper side of the printed synthetic material film. The transparent film may be a thermoplastic synthetic material film the material of which is chosen from the group consisting of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polyurethane, and polypropylene. The method may involve providing the decor film and the transparent film on the substrate by performing a first press treatment at an increased temperature to form a package of the substrate, the decor film, and the transparent film. The first press treatment may be performed by a calendar device or a continuous press device. A structure may be formed in the thermoplastic synthetic material that forms a surface of the package by performing a second press treatment using a press device with a structured press element at a temperature that is lower than the increased temperature.

MATERIALS, COMPOSITIONS, AND METHODS FOR THE FORMATION OF COMPOSITE ARTICLES

Provided herein are composite materials comprising a layup consisting of one or more surfacing sheets comingled with a carbon fiber non-woven mat. The surfacing sheet may comprise polyamide-6 and the carbon fiber non-woven mat may comprise carbon fibers that have been recycled. The surfacing sheets comprise sub-micron scale particles for reducing the thermal expansion coefficient of the surfacing sheets. The resulting layup is suitable for use in the formation of articles, particularly articles requiring a smooth finish absent of defects caused by underlying surfaces having irregular compositions or textures.
