Neural stimulation for reduced artefact

A neural stimulus comprises at least three stimulus components, each comprising at least one of a temporal stimulus phase and a spatial stimulus pole. A first stimulus component delivers a first charge which is unequal to a third charge delivered by a third stimulus component, and the first charge and third charge are selected so as to give rise to reduced artefact at recording electrodes. In turn this may be exploited to independently control a correlation delay of a vector detector and an artefact vector to be non-parallel or orthogonal.

Systems and methods can be used for ultrasound-based geometry determination for cardiac mapping. A patient can be scanned with an ultrasound while wearing body surface electrodes. While the scanning takes place, the location of the ultrasound transducer can be tracked in three-dimensional space. The electrodes can be tracked and located in the same coordinate system as the image volume. Therefore, each electrode's location can be determined relative to the acquired image volume such that corresponding geometry data is generated for the heart and the electrodes.

Animal health system and method for monitoring performance

Systems and methods for monitoring an animal include receiving a plurality of biological parameters of the animal from a plurality of biological sensors, receiving location parameters of the animal from at least one location sensor, receiving weather parameters corresponding to ambient weather conditions proximate the animal from at least one ambient weather sensor, and comparing at least one of the parameters generated by the sensors with data representing at least one signature corresponding to the animal to determine if there is an irregular parameter. In response to an irregular reading/parameter being identified, then determining if the identified irregular parameter is related to a health condition of the animal and if the identified irregular parameter is not related to the health condition of the animal, then determining if the identified irregular parameter is related to an illegal activity.

Temperature Measurement in Arrays for Delivering TTFields

TTFields therapy is a proven approach for treating tumors using electric fields. This application describes systems and methods for measuring the temperature at the electrode elements of the transducer arrays that are used to apply the TTFields to a subject. A distal circuit is positioned adjacent to each transducer array, and the distal circuit interfaces with temperature sensors in the transducer array to obtain temperature readings. Those temperature readings are transmitted to a central hub. In some embodiments, temperature measurements from all of the distal circuits occur simultaneously.

Non-invasive neuromodulation (NINM) for rehabilitation of brain function

A method to provide non-invasive neurostimulation to enhance a subject's attention span, concentration, multitasking ability, or alertness includes (a) engaging a subject in a brain exercise requiring use of the subject's attention span, concentration, multitasking ability, or alertness; (b) providing intraoral cutaneous stimulation of at least one of the subject's trigeminal nerve, facial nerve or lingual nerve by delivering electrical pulses to one or more stimulators situated within the subject's oral cavity, the delivery of electrical pulses occurring contemporaneously with the subject's engagement in the brain exercise; and (c) repeating steps (a) and (b) on a periodic basis.
