A moisture permeable composite material for a wide variety of applications including without limitation prosthetic liners, orthotic liners, clothing, space suits and environmental suits comprising: an inner layer comprising a hydrogel, a thin tough hydrogel membrane, or dual network hydrogel; and an outer layer comprising a porous elastomer or an open cell foam.

A laminated panel is provided which comprises, or consists of, a core panel to which an elastomeric resin impregnated single finishing printed paper layer has been applied. The paper for the single finishing printed paper layer is printed to provide a design feature on the laminated panel. Preferably, the design feature has been printed on a lower surface of the single finishing printed paper layer. As a result of the resin impregnation and heating and pressing operations, the single finishing printed paper layer becomes translucent or transparent, and thus allows the printed design feature to become visible. The design feature can be printed onto the single finishing printed paper prior to treatment with the elastomeric resin, or printed onto the previously treated elastomeric resin impregnated paper. The laminated panels can be used in the production of laminated flooring, wall panels or furniture panels.

A recyclable synthetic resin tile to be laid wherein a main constituent resin includes an olefinic thermoplastic resin and/or thermoplastic elastomer, and the tile includes a base part in which a decorative layer, two or more intermediate layers, and a balance layer are laminated in this order, and a layer of the intermediate layers includes an inorganic fiber layer, and the decorative layer and the balance layer are shaped to be concave-convex.

There is disclosed a method of manufacturing a multi-layered article including a finished outer surface optionally having particular surface properties. The article can be a self-supported strip having a smooth outer surface. The method is, for example, suitable for the preparation of multi-layered articles such as a flexible intermediate transfer member (ITM) for use in an indirect printing system. Uses of such articles are also disclosed.

A composite sheet material includes a skin sheet and a woven fabric, wherein the skin sheet is formed by impregnating an elastic polymer into a base material consisting of an entangled fiber network, such as a nonwoven fabric, and wherein the composite sheet material has high thermal resistance and high formability suitable for integral molding. The composite sheet material is a composite sheet material including a skin sheet attached with a woven fabric through an adhesive resin layer, wherein the skin sheet is made of an entangled fiber network including ultra-fine fibers with an average single fiber diameter of 0.1 to 8 m and of an elastic polymer, and wherein the woven fabric includes polyester fibers in which the polyester contains a 1,2-propanediol-derived component at a concentration of 1 to 500 ppm.

A reinforced gasket material. A non-metallic scrim layer is interposed between layers of gasket material to provide strength to the gasket material. The layers of the gasket material can include binding agent to aid adhering to each other and to the non-metallic scrim layer. The non-metallic scrim layer can also be coated in binding agent. The layers of the gasket material can include high-temperature sealing material, compressed fiber, exfoliated graphite, or polytetrafluoroethylene.

An intermediate transfer member (ITM) for use with a printing system, the ITM having (a) a support layer; and (b) a release layer having an ink reception surface and a second surface opposing the ink reception surface, the second surface attached to the support layer, the release layer formed of an addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material, wherein the release surface of the release layer has relatively hydrophilic properties with respect to the addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material.

An object of the present invention is to develop and provide a fiber-reinforced composite material having an elongation feature in addition to a high strength and a high elastic modulus. Further, an object of the present invention is to address problems of brittleness and peeling in the conventional fiber-reinforced composite materials. A fiber-reinforced composite material containing the bagworm silk thread as reinforcing fibers is provided.
