Composite stretch material
A nozzle assembly includes an upstream block, an upstream shim, an intermediate shim, a downstream shim and a downstream block arranged in this order in a machine direction MD from the upstream side to the downstream side. A lower end of the nozzle is formed with grooves as guide grooves to support elastics. A first pipe, a dispersion slit for a web and convergence slits for a web define first flow channels wherein the slits are respectively formed with outlets for a web. A second pipe, a dispersion slit for elastics and convergence slits for elastics define a second flow channels wherein the slits are respectively formed with outlets for elastics. The outlets for elastics are formed in the respective guide grooves and each of the outlets for a web lies between each pair of the adjacent outlets for elastics as viewed in the cross direction CD.
GARMENT INCORPORATING AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS HAVING ALTERED STRESS PROFILE
Articles, such as garments, including films comprising dried aqueous polyurethane dispersions are disclosed, whereby the garment has an altered stress which is exhibited during wear of the garment. The film may be bonded to the fabric of the article to provide a fabric or film laminate.
CLOTH HAVING GAS SHEET
In one aspect, there is provided a fabric containing gas therein, the fabric comprising a weave between warps and wefts, wherein each warp includes an elongate array of a plurality of individual gas cells, wherein neighboring gas cells are physically coupled to each other via a connection, wherein the connection is monolithic with the gas cells, and each cell contains the gas therein.
Trilobal Waterproof Breathable Laminated Stretch Fabric
A woven polyester fabric with a trilobal construction and a 5% elastane content, and an outer laminated layer of polyurethane, with 250 GSM insulation. The fabric and clothing made from the fabric is waterproof, breathable, stretchable in 4 directions, and insulating to −50 degrees Celsius. The fabric meets the standards defined by the testing standards ASTM D2034-2009; ASTM D1424-2009: ASTM D434-1995; ASTM D4970/D4970M-2010c1, ASTM D3107-07(R2011), AATCC 127, and JIS L1099 Method B-1:2006.
FABRIC JACKET TO PREVENT NONMETALLIC EQUIPMENT FROM EXTREME HEAT, EXTERNAL DAMAGE AND FIRE
A protective fabric jacket for placement on an object to be protected from excessive heat includes a first layer; a second layer; and an intermediate spacer fabric layer that is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The first and second layers are attached to the intermediate spacer fabric layer to form a layered structure. The intermediate spacer fabric layer comprises a flexible honeycomb or octagonal shaped spacer fabric that has a plurality of cells defined therein. The protective fabric jacket also includes a settable material that disposed within the cells and includes a cementitious mixture and one or more organic polymers and is settable to a hardened material.
Methods of making fibrous structures with shaped polymer particles
A method of forming a fibrous structure including: providing a first textured substrate that has a first side with first discrete regions and a first continuous region extending between the first discrete regions, and a second side comprising a plurality of first discrete portions corresponding to the first discrete regions and a first continuous portion corresponding to the first continuous region; passing the first textured substrate across a nozzle of a slot coat header, wherein a heated polymer is dispensed from the nozzle; depositing the heated polymer onto one of the first or the second side of the first textured substrate to form a plurality of first polymer particles, wherein the heated polymer is substantially deposited on an area of the first textured substrate that contacts the nozzle such that at least a section of each of the first polymer particles defines a raised edge; and joining the first textured substrate to a second substrate to form the fibrous structure.
BOOT AND COAT FOR DOMESTIC ANIMALS
The known dog boots and coats lack in the area of “easy to put on” and “stays on”. The present invention relates to a boot, including: a fabric material; a silicone gel material for covering the inner surface of the fabric material, the silicone gel material being connected to the fabric material; wherein the boot is configured to be reversible so as to cover and conform to a paw and lower leg of the domestic animal that comes in contact with the silicone gel material while the boot is put on; and wherein the silicone material and fabric material are configured to flexibly and removably secure, through the flexibility of the fabric and silicone materials, the boot to the paw and lower leg of the domestic animal; and wherein the silicone gel material provides shock-absorbing protection to the paw. The coat includes a portion with three layer fabric/silicone/fabric.
Internally reinforced aerogel and uses thereof
Internally reinforced aerogels, articles of manufacture and uses thereof are described. An internally reinforced aerogel includes an aerogel having a support at least partially penetrating the aerogel and having the aerogel penetrating the porous structure of the support.
LAYERED COMPOSITE ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
Described is a method of making a densified fiber batt that includes the steps of: a) providing a fiber batt with a first plurality of fibers having a first melting point and a second plurality of fibers having a second melting point different from the first melting point; and b) subjecting the fiber batt to heat and pressure in a static press, thereby forming a densified fiber batt having a first surface and an opposed second surface.
