Method of producing a fibrous product and a fibrous product

The present invention relates to multi-layer fiber products and a method of manufacturing these kinds of products. The present product comprises a first layer consists mainly of natural fibers and a second, heat-sealing layer located on top of the first layer. The heat-sealing layer consists mainly of synthetic thermoplastic fibers or particles. According to the present method, the heat-sealing layer is brought onto the first layer already during the web forming process, the first and the second layers being formed and joined together in a foam forming process. With the present invention, it is possible to decrease the amount of plastic materials in packaging materials having heat-sealing properties.

A repulpable insulated container assembly having a container formed of paper such as corrugated cardboard or varying paper materials and defining an interior; and a repulpable insert placed within the interior of the container and formed of a first paper layer; and a paper fiber pad coupled to the first paper layer.

Cementitious composite constituent relationships

A cementitious composite includes a first layer, a second layer, and a cementitious mixture disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The cementitious mixture includes (i) cementitious materials and (ii) a viscosity modifier and/or an accelerator. The cementitious materials provide a void fraction between 0.64 and 1.35. The void fraction is defined as the ratio of the volume of the voids within the cementitious mixture per unit area of the cementitious composite to the volume of the cementitious materials per unit area of the cementitious composite. The cementitious mixture is configured to absorb a mass of water that provides a maximum 28 day compressive strength of the cementitious composite. A ratio of the mass of the water relative to the mass of the cementitious materials of the cementitious mixture per unit area of the cementitious composite that provides the maximum 28 day compressive strength of the cementitious composite is between 0.25 and 0.55.

AIR-PERMEABLE SHEET

Provided is an air-permeable sheet (3) to be used in a state of being interposed between a suction stage (1) and an air-impermeable substrate (4) when printing is performed by a sheet-fed method on the surface of the substrate (4) fixed by suction to the suction stage (1), the air-permeable sheet capable of printing a desired printing pattern on the surface of the substrate with high accuracy.

The air-permeable sheet (3) includes a non-woven fabric layer (3b) and a support layer (3a) constituted by a woven fabric or knitted fabric.

CUSHION OR PILLOW HAVING EMBOSSING AND/OR DEBOSSING ELEMENTS, APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND A METHOD THEREOF
20170233916 · 2017-08-17 ·

The present invention relates generally to a pillow or cushion having embossing and/or debossing elements, apparatus, system, and a method thereof. More particularly, the invention encompasses an apparatus and a method to create fabric cushion or pillow that can have embossing or debossing or a combination of embossing and debossing on them. The invention further comprises of embossed and/or debossed cushion or pillow, with or without cushion filler or insert. These inventive cushion or pillow can be used for both indoor and outdoor purposes. The cushion or pillow sizes can be standard sizes, but they can also be custom sized for any measurement. Embossing and/or debossing are the processes of creating either raised or recessed relief, image, or design in emboss-able/deboss-able materials. For example, an embossed pattern would be raised against a background, while a debossed pattern would be sunken into the surface of the material.

Composite Foam Article

A composite foam article comprises a foam core layer presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first polymeric bonding layer is disposed on the first surface, one or more first reinforcing layers comprising a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder are disposed on the first polymeric bonding layer, and a first polymeric containment layer is disposed on the one or more first reinforcing layers. A second polymeric bonding layer is disposed on the second surface, one or more second reinforcing layers comprising a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder are disposed on the second polymeric bonding layer, and a second polymeric containment layer is disposed on the one or more second reinforcing layers. At least one catch layer comprising particles of carbon is dispersed in and/or disposed between any of the aforementioned layers.

Porous sheet

The present invention relates to a porous sheet comprising cellulose fibers having an average fiber diameter ranging from 20 to 500 nm; cut fibers having an average fiber diameter ranging from 1.5 to 20 μm; and a hydrophilic polymer binder, wherein an amount of the cut fibers is 1% by weight or more and 80% by weight or less based on the total weight of the cellulose fibers and the cut fibers, and an amount of the hydrophilic polymer binder is 5 parts by weight or more and 30 parts by weight or less with respect to 100 parts by weight of the total weight of the cellulose fibers and the cut fibers. The porous sheet of the present invention can exhibit a superior strength (in particular, both tear strength and tensile strength), and exhibits a superior performance as a separator for an electrochemical device.

BREATHABLE LIGHT WEIGHT UNIDIRECTIONAL LAMINATES

Lightweight, breathable, non-woven fibrous materials and composite articles incorporating the same are provided. Composite articles are formed by merging an open, non-woven grid formed from high tenacity elongate bodies with at least one substrate, forming an article having excellent tensile strength, excellent breathability and a unique aesthetic appearance.

Patterned air-laid nonwoven fibrous webs and methods of making and using same

Nonwoven fibrous webs including randomly oriented discrete fibers defining a multiplicity of non-hollow projections extending from a major surface of the nonwoven fibrous web (as considered without the projections), and a plurality of substantially planar land areas formed between each adjoining projection in a plane defined by and substantially parallel with the major surface. In some exemplary embodiments, the randomly oriented discrete fibers include multi-component fibers having at least a first region having a first melting temperature and a second region having a second melting temperature, wherein the first melting temperature is less than the second melting temperature.
