COMPOSITE SHEET MATERIAL
Provided is a composite sheet material including a nonwoven fabric having an outer exterior surface comprising a plurality of discreet, spaced-apart projections extending outwardly from the exterior surface. Collectively, the spaced-apart projections define a three-dimensional topography characterized by the plurality of spaced-apart projections and valleys disposed therebetween. The composite sheet material is particularly useful as a wiper instrument.
INFLATABLE STRUCTURES WITH CHEMICAL REACTION BASED INFLATORS
A lightweight and portable inflatable assembly includes an inflatable structural component and a chemical reaction based inflator device. The inflatable structural component includes a flexible housing defining a cavity. The inflatable structure is uninflated in a first operational mode and filled with an inflation fluid retained for at least 4 hours in a second operational mode. At least one primary and at least one secondary charge unit are in fluid communication with the cavity. The primary charge unit includes a first gas generant material configured to generate a first predetermined volume of inflation medium for filling the cavity, while the secondary charge unit includes a second gas generant material configured to generate a second predetermined volume of inflation medium for filling the cavity in the second operational mode. The second predetermined volume is ≤about 40% by volume of the first predetermined volume.
Impact-Absorbing Fiber-Composite Structures
An impact-absorbing article includes two outer panels that sandwich a fiber-composite post-and-sheet layer. The post-and-sheet layer includes a plurality of fiber-composite “posts” that extend orthogonally with respect to a base.
INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SINGLE- OR MULTI-LAYER NONWOVEN
The invention relates to an installation and a method for selectively producing a single- or multi-ply nonwoven includes an inclined wire former configured to deposit a sheet of wet-laid fibre material on a first circulating belt, a further belt configured to receive the sheet of wet-laid fibre material from the first circulating belt, a roller card arranged downstream in the material transport direction and configured to introduce a roller card web into the installation, a hydroentanglement arranged downstream in the material transport direction and including at least one water beam configured to entangle, bond and/or structure a single sheet of fibres or a plurality of sheets of fibres, and a dryer arranged downstream in the material transport direction.
MULTI-LAYERED FIBROUS STRUCTURES FOR MODERATE TEMPERATURE
An article comprising: (a) one or more nonwoven material layers comprising a lofted fibrous material; and (b) one or more molded material layers having a fibrous matrix, wherein the article is configured to at least partially thermally insulate an item or compartment and the article absorbs external heat or cold to substantially prevent amplitude of temperature fluctuation of the item or within the compartment.
BASE MATERIAL FOR MOLDING
The present invention relates to a molding base material (10) with which it is possible to prepare a vehicle exterior material such as an underbody shielding material. As a result of continued investigations, the applicant of the present application found that the objective of the present invention could be achieved by means of a “molding base material including a fiber base material layer (1) and a cover layer (3), wherein the fiber base material layer and the cover layer are integrally bonded to one another by means of a polypropylene-based resin layer (5) present at the interface between the fiber base material layer and the cover layer”, and wherein the fiber base material layer contains sheath-core type composite fibers of which the core portion is a polyester-based resin and the sheath portion is a polypropylene-based resin. That is, it was found, for example, that a vehicle exterior material prepared using a molding base material satisfying this composition does not readily suffer from inter-layer peeling under high-temperature conditions, and has excellent heat resistance.
LAMINATE
A laminated body is disclosed. The laminate body has a leather layer comprising natural leather in which all or a portion of the reticular layer has been removed, a fiber layer comprising natural and/or synthetic fibers positioned at the rear-side of the leather layer, and an adhesive layer between the leather layer and the fiber layer, wherein, in the leather layer, the proportion of the thickness of the reticular layer is 5% or less and the proportion of the thickness of the papillary layer is 95% or more.
MULTI-CHAMBER FLEXIBLE STORAGE TANK
Various aspect of the present disclosure relate to a sealed storage tank. The sealed storage tank includes a first film at least partially defining a first internal chamber of the sealed storage tank. The first film includes a first polymeric layer having a thickness in a range of from about 0.05 mm to about 1 mm. The first film can include an optional first fibrous scrim layer directly contacting the first polymeric layer. The sealed storage tank can further include a second film attached to the first film and at least partially defining a second internal chamber of the sealed storage tank, the second film comprising. The second film can further include a second polymeric layer having a thickness in a range of from about 0.05 mm to about 1 mm. The second film can include an optional second fibrous scrim layer directly contacting the second polymeric layer.
Textile Backsheet
Textile backsheets including a nonwoven fabric and film, such as a vapor-permeable and liquid impermeable (VPLI) film or a non-permeable film, are provided, wherein the nonwoven fabric is directly or indirectly bonded to the film. Methods of making such textile backsheets and absorbent articles including the textile backsheets are also provided.
A NEW MULTI-LAYER INTERLINING AND THE PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREOF
Disclosed is a new multi-layer nonwoven interlining and the production process thereof. The process allows a multi-layer nonwoven interlining to be obtained simultaneously with a single process on a single production line. The process includes a fiber opening step, a fiber feeding step, a carding step, a levelling step of the additional layer by the thermal treatment, and a point bonding step of the carded web and additional layer. As a result of the process, a structure is obtained where the carded web is point-bonded onto the additional layer.
