SCRIM-REINFORCED CUSHION MAT FOR CARPET TILES

A carpet tile includes a textile top member and a cushion mat that is coupled with the textile top member via a thermoplastic material. The textile top member includes carpet yarns and a backing that is coupled with the carpet yarns so that the backing structurally supports the carpet yarns. The cushion mat includes a polymeric material component having polymer fibers that are randomly oriented and entangled together and a scrim reinforcement that is disposed within the polymeric material component. The scrim reinforcement reinforces and stabilizes the polymeric material component and is entirely covered and concealed by the intermeshed polymer fibers.

Process and apparatus for producing shaped profile sections

A method for producing a shaped profile section in a continuous line process provides providing an outer facing web, an inner facing web and laying down an liquid foam reactants in the outer facing web. The method pre-forms the outer facing web into a desired outer profile shape prior to laying down the liquid foam reactants. The inner facing web is shaped with the liquid foam reactants within the pre-formed outer facing web to provide a desired inner profile shape for the shaped profile section. Also provided is an apparatus for producing a shaped profile section and a shaped profile section of the method.

Underpayment with thermal insulation

An underlayment that meets underlayment requirements and provides thermal insulation is disclosed. The underlayment includes a core material and an upper emittance layer having an exterior surface. An upper reinforcement layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the core material. A first encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the upper reinforcement layer. A second encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper reinforcement layer and the core material. The underlayment includes a lower emittance layer having an exterior surface. A lower reinforcement layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the core material. A third encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the lower reinforcement layer. A fourth encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower reinforcement layer and the core material.

A sailcloth including a woven fabric of a first fiber material and a second fiber material woven into it, in which the second fiber material forms a network structure within the woven fabric, with the second fiber material having a higher tearing resistance than the first fiber material and with the second fiber having a sliding ability within the woven fabric.

Hybrid metal composite structures, rocket motors and multi stage rocket motor assemblies including hybrid metal composite structures, and related methods

A hybrid metal composite (HMC) structure comprises tiers comprising fiber composite material structures, and additional tiers longitudinally adjacent one or more of the tiers and comprising perforated metallic structures and additional fiber composite material structures laterally adjacent the perforated metallic structures. Methods of forming an HMC structure, and related rocket motors and multi-stage rocket motor assemblies are also disclosed.

Liquid absorber, liquid-absorbing sheet, liquid absorbent, and image-forming apparatus

A liquid absorber includes a container and an absorbing unit. The container has an opening and collects a liquid. The absorbing unit is an assembly of porous absorbent blocks, each containing fibers and a polymeric absorbent, and is in the container with spaces between the porous absorbent blocks. Each of the porous absorbent blocks has a first component and a second component. The first component is porous and has a density of 0.05 [g/cm.sup.3] or more and 0.50 [g/cm.sup.3] or less. The second component has a higher polymeric absorbent content than the first component.

SYNTHETIC FABRIC HAVING SLIP RESISTANT PROPERTIES AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
